We all know this default answer when we ask when your device will be added to Sin3:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ snip ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But as we stated before, our developer team is trying their best each day to migrate all the device from Synapse 2 to Synapse 3.
I asked for a list of devices that have been migrated to Sin3 in the last 12 months and got this answer:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ snip ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For your kind information, we didn't have a list exclusively for the device that has been migrating from Synapse 2 to Synapse 3. We only have link for supported device on Synapse 2, Synapse 2 for MacOS and Synapse 3 only. If you're looking our product support on Synapse 3, on a questions "When will other devices be supported?", it also will showing the Synapse 3 supported device only.

So I did a little research myself to get a better picture about what had happend since then.

Let's compare the supported legacy device list that was online on the 5th December 2018:
https://web.archive.org/web/20181205031318/https://www.razer.com/synapse-3

with the current one I got just pointed to:

https://support.razer.com/software/synapse-3/

Hmmm... result is exactly ZERO migrated devices. Still only support for Naga Hex v2 and Naga Chroma as so called 'legacy' devices.

Later I stumbled accros an interessting dialog from June this year:

Hey Mr. Product manager, please update your support staff so they stop creating wrong expectations on our side.

Thank you

At least I now know what I can not expect to happen :slightly_sad:

Black text could not bee seen with black theme, I quoted it white.
Nice, so over a half of my Razer products will never get support from Synapse 3.0 :')

I don't really understand how hard it would be to support for an example Deathadder Chroma when Deathadder Elite is supported. They're not THAT different.

It could really be, that although they have a similar name, internal electronics difher massively.
But no matter, for the developers, they could create at least a high level of compatibilty, if they, or product management, wanted to. But it's easier and cheaper, to leave some dissatisfied customers behind.
So is 3.0 still in beta after two years? It's super buggy and unusable for me, which means I can't use settings for my new mouse (unless I want to keep installing and uninstalling the software.)

Synapse 2 has been around for over half a decade and supports 200+ devices. We were the first ones to create a unified driver package in a time every device came with its own separate driver. But change is the rule of nature and a platform that was conceived nearly a decade ago is no longer adequate for us to build the next-generation features we are want to bring for our users.

It would indeed be most convenient for us to just keep using Synapse 2 forever and keep adding devices to it with the same limited feature-set, but a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and we don't do things for the sake of convenience alone. Users who see the benefits of our approach and stick with us through this transition will reap the undisputed best software suite, and for those who are satisfied with second best, there are plenty of other options available in the market.
this has been a major issue in my house as well yill now iv just pawned the synaps 2 stuff on my son but I have always used a vecta head set and just bought the kraken v2pro and bam fml againg stuck im not one to complan and I really don't care about new chroma controls for the head set but is there no way to migrate what exists to the synaps 3 for the adio controles and basic light funcitons tht it has and let me have centreal corex and syn3 its just to much on start up and bandwidth I own a tons of razor gear I wont switch due to some minor shit like this from my death stalker and naga og to the maba to my new naga to the chroma keyboard to the head set I luv my gear but pleas eguys just migrate the v2 pros pleaseeeeeeeee

It looks like all current products sold on razer.com are on Synapse 3. There will be places like Amazon selling 10 year old stuff but that's your fault if you buy a non-current product. Also it wouldn't be planned obsolescence since Synapse 2 works perfectly fine. I wish old stuff was on Synapse 3 too, but 2 extra clicks to open a different Synapse isn't a big deal.

I dont think is correct. I have a Blackwidow X TE Chroma keyboard and this is still not supported on Synapse 3 but was still recently available on the online store.
