The program works, but there are still a few issues. I noticed that if I leave the profile set to something other than the default one after using Windows, the program stops working; I’m currently working on fixing that. I’m also checking whether connecting or disconnecting other USB devices interferes with the program's operation. Some people might not like this, but I use AI to help write the program—though I’m not entirely dependent on it; it acts more like an advisor suggesting solutions. If I were to just paste the code it generates, nothing would work the way it’s supposed to. Personally, I don’t mind using AI; what scares me more is natural human stupidity.

I’m just wondering why is it the community who has to write linux software for £100+ razer gear….
There should be native builds of Synapse from the get-go… it’s not like Razer is a poor garage-project...

Am guessing it’s because Linux is open source whereas Razer has lots of propriety secrets buried in their code that they do not want anyone to steal.

That…. doesn’t make sense?…. you still need the Razer HW… and it’s not Synapse where razer makes the money in the first place...

well they would want to protect their sw under all circumstances.

software linked to hardware could also help with reverse engineering of it.

so Razer would want to protect both.

am not a Razer employee but I can guarantee the idea of having Linux drivers has been kicked around internally for many years.

They have to weigh up the disgruntled Linus user base who can muddle through with (in my case) 3 different programs to do what Synapse does as opposed to the many many more happy windows folks.

only recently with microslop becoming more and more shady and a lot more people turning away from their dodgy practices (one I heard about recently is ms giving up a users internet use despite him using what he thought was a safe vpn - there is a code by which every windoze users account it tied to that happily follows along all of the vpn links the path wishes to follow).

granted this chap had been a very naughty boy but still...so much for privacy.

anyway - hopefully more and more people will switch to the Linux of their choice and perhaps Razer might help us all out but am not holding me breath.

Just wait another year or two, and you’ll have to buy software subscriptions if you want full mouse functionality. You get three profiles—and for a mere five dollars a month, you can buy another one. Come visit our store, where you can also purchase extras like maximum sensor performance and other such nonsense. I’m doing this because I need it myself; I’m mainly doing it for my own sake.

This is must have ASAP… Since Windows 10 is going Bye Bye for me and refuse to use Windows 11. 

I am planning to use Linux Mint Xfce instead.

I have a  Tartarus V3 and use for gaming and have lots of programmed keys.

Complete agree with you Windows 11 has became a joke due to many things wrong and so much bloat. Also being forced to use a non local account in the latest version of Windows 11. Plus the huge security back door hole in Windows Defender allowing anyone access to computers via system user permissions which is not fixed yet and most likely never get fixed.

So many people are switching to Linux that I have talked to and I work as a Systems Administrator in real life.

I get asked a lot on which Distro’s to recommend and I been telling them Linux Mint Xfce for the light weight and fast. 

So come on Razer.
