Synapse 4 somehow got even worse

It's a disaster.

I'm having, in addition to equalization problems, problems with THX game profiles.

My THX game profiles have recently disappeared.

It's useless to reinstall everything cleanly, and Razer support always ends up saying that they're closing the case and maybe there will be an update that will solve it..…

Razer synapse 4 refuses to autostart. Not sure why. I reinstalled multiple times. So I may head back so synapse 3.

…. I reverted back to version 3…..cant help, Synapse 4 is a mess - at least for me.

1. keyboard often not recognized - warm or cold boot
2. headset tab mostly empty/missing content
3. auto switching profiles did not work
4. no info sign when switching the profile (by myself)

ALL those unintended behaviours occur after an update from 3 to 4 and stayed the same even after several so called clean reinstallations.

And now back at Synapse 3 - everything works fine! Those nasty habbits are gone - just like the hours I spend trying to get the new shiny version 4 work.

I´ll may be back half a year onwards or so but right now I´m done with it…

Trouble is they now refuse to provide support unless you first update to v4. None of the issues I have reported in v4 have been fixed. There have been 3 or 4 updates but I have no idea what they included because Razer do not publish a change log and refuse to divulge that information when asked directly.

The folders are bugged too. You put some macros in there and then it copies the macro out of the folder. If you delete the macro out the folder it deletes the macro in the folder too.

the fact is: the creators of the news synapse either have zero talent or full on braindead, or even both. think about it they wanna keep it useing “the cloud” and “make it smarter” yet the one have have put out is just crap! 
 

ill place some reasons: 

1. telling it to start minamized it still goes full screen
2. you have to more then a few times a week restart it
3. the devs fix nothing involving issues
4. they cause more issues 
    

the messes up part is when they updated they caused both my keyboard and mouse to full on mess up and because of this had to recycle them. will not be buying from razer again what a waste of over $180 -_- come one razer you are a billion dollar company fix this program or better yet remake it like synapse 2 that one was flawless! why did you think it was a good to do the whole cloud thing?

I guess we need to be thankful that Synapse 4 does not use WinRing0. Apparently this 15-year old vulnerable code only got patched out of Synapse 3 in March 2025.

After updating a couple months ago to Synapse V4 I am also having simple things such as using the volume dial on the Blackwidow V4 Pro or any other keybind for volume including the keyboard OR the mouse (Naga V2 Hyperspeed) will cause Synapse 4 to take all 100% of my CPU (Core i7-9700 base clock 3ghz…...while adjusting volume boosts it to full 4.5ghz) and completely bogs down the system where as the many years I was using Synapse 3 I never saw it spike using to anything over 5% even when running extremely complex macros…………………..I have reported this many times and even gone through full restarts / reinstalling / running diagnostic software with their support chat which showed nothing / multiple bug reports / multiple updates being pushed with no fix to this issue……….at this point its just ridiculous especially when they claim (up to) 30% BETTER performance not to mention my wireless connectivity with my headset (Kraken v3 Pro) has felt 50% worse where it either randomly turns itself off even when full power or just drops connection mid game / movie and requiring me to physically unplug the wireless dongle and pull it back in or the sound just randomly dropping quality massively (as if I am listening through a tin can filter) again until I unplug the dongle……….RAZER what are you guys doing?????? Im sure you’re programmers WANT to fix these issues people are having but they just need the “higher ups” to give them the time to do it…….not fixing these issues looks bad on you as a company and as someone who has always loved and praised your products this is just removing any faith I had in you guys 

Same problem and Razer don´t care. Even the cloud system not possible switch off when to him have problems with own servers, for that Synapse changing old saved changes back again. Very dissapointed  for that!
