Thank you everyone for answering questions, super excited, I have tons of Razer gear but this is my first actual Razer laptop.

I've receive mine too ! Order ten days ago.. so fasst
Could you confirm the tgp ils max 100watts? With no Dynamic boost 2.0? I've scared.
I see 100 Watts which is what I expected but I also see Dynamic Boost 2.0 yes.
Will Razer be offering the Pro 17 with a RTX 3080 and a QHD display? By excluding the QHD option I feel like Razer are trying to push me towards the 4K, but instead I wonder whether I would be better dropping down to the 3070.

1080P is too low for 17”, in my opinion, but 4K is too high. I feel I would get better performance playing at native if I were to get the 3070 + QHD model over the 3080 + 4K.

Any official word on this?
I’d be annoyed if I were to get a 3070 + QHD, for Razer to then release a 3080 + QHD.

Thanks.

I agree 1080p is too low for the 17". I returned mine and got the 4k with 2080 super last year. I agree that QHD would be "just right".

I'm betting there won't be too much difference in performance between the 3070 and 3080 based on the small differences in performance between the 2070 and 2080 in the Razers and that the mobile 3080 is so pared down in features compared to the desktop. I suppose benchmarks will tell the story.

Here’s benchmarks from a user. He has other gaming play video as well.

I would like to get an extra power adapter for the 2021 4k 17" pro. Does anyone know which one to get? Nothing says this model but would any from the 2020 17" 4k version work as well?

This model I’m pretty sure use same 230 watt AC adapter as previous models and blade 15 advanced models that use 230 watt one.

This is the GPU SPEC. RAZER, please up graphic power to 120-140w !! You have to kill the competition with this machine. It has the best cooling system ! The fan noise is very quiet, even in boost mode, so let's go !
Wanted to share my favorite new mobile gaming station !
Aww, dammit! I was finding this was ticking all the right boxes for my requirements (light, thin, 17", gaming power, good looks, camera, etc.) and now I've just seen that it has no number pad!
I know you can get separate number pads but that's not good for me as I need the number pad for work and don't want the faff of an attachment. Why they couldn't have one on a 17" chassis escapes me!
Oh well, back to square one on the laptop search 😞
Here's a great detailed review of the top end Razer 17 Pro 3080. I have last years same exact model (I upgraded to 32MB 3200 memory like the new one has), with the only difference being I have the 2080 Super Maxq vs the 3080, so quite an apples to apples comparison.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Razer-Blade-Pro-17-Early-2021-Laptop-Review-The-GeForce-RTX-30-Difference.519563.0.html

Their results are very consistent with the video review posted above.

I'm somewhat relieved that the differences aren't that much between mine and the new one. For 3dMark, I'm seeing only about a 14% improvement in all the scores comparing with the 3080 vs mine:
Port Royal: 5842 mine vs. 6686 new
Timespy Graphics: 9494 mine vs 10898 new
Firestrike Graphics: 24206 mine vs 26486 new

And the overall performance benchmarks are actually a little lower on the new one, but basically the same.
PcMark Score 6609 mine vs 6531 new

All in all, certainly not worth the upgrade for me and definitely not in the same ballpark of the improvements seen in the desktop 2080 vs 3080, but still a killer laptop/game machine. Basically only so much juice and heat dissipation with these thin laptops.

Check also on QA they mentioned that on real gaming FPS it is on some case performs a lot better than 3080 laptop that has higher gpu tdp Asus ROG Duo, though it’s on 15 inch form factor it has massive cooling with its rise up secondary display to add more room, comes to conclusions on gaming where all parts bottleneck by cooling limitation on laptops the bigger cassis might give more advantages. 3DMark maxes gpu and cpu usage for short period time and take advantage on higher tdp gpu so not really objective measurement compared to real gaming usage imo.

You can use the stress test feature of 3DMark to better see how it handles over time. It runs the benchmark 20 times and records the lowest FPS over the best. My Razer Pro 2080 Super Maxq passed it with a 98%, so the cooling seems to hold up on the long term on the Razers.
Still can't wrap my head around that RTX card in that thinly designed laptop!

The laptop 3080 is a significantly different from the desktop one. Shouldn't really even be called by the same nomenclature.
I would love to have one

This is savage and beautiful at the same time
Will there be a QHD version with 3080 and 16GB VRAM at one point?
Alguém pode me ajudar? Tem como trocar o email de verificação ??? Pq o que tá pedindo eu não uso mais
I beg you @razer to allow undervolting for the Pro 17 (2021) again. This already incredible mashine could be even quieter by allowing us to undervolt it (again).

At the moment I can only restrict the i7s power (pl1/pl2) with throttlestop to reduce noise, which helps, but with undervolting we can reduce noise AND gain performance at the same time. Not be able to do it is a real shame, since there is performance and noise improvements which we are not able to use.

Also, since this mashine has already really good cooling, adding may be 10-20w on the GPU Power Target would be awesome.

Both this tweaks (undervolting and a little more gpu Power Target) would make this mashine so much more awesome! Come on Razer, give us a bios update. Pls 🙂

Other OEMs allow a certain level of undervolt. All I read is the 10th Gens are not very good with undervolt (-.80 mV at best). I do agree a 10-15 watts of additional power to the GPU would be great, though I think the limit is more with the VRMs on the board.
I pre ordered my 2021 razer blade 17 3080 with 360hz monitor a couple weeks ago and I am DAMN excited. Can’t wait. I know the monitor is 360hz refresh rate, but what is the response rate ms? What is the significance of the difference between desktop and laptop 3080s?

Got G-Sync working with external monitor, if anyone is interessted in this kind of topic. HDMI wont work, but USB-C to Displayport is!

Yes usb C acts as display port where g sync can be outputted, but for hdmi blade pro has hdmi 2.1 so it can output g sync if your external monitor has hdmi 2.1 support.
Is there any configuration of the Blade Pro 17" that has G-Sync?

Is there any configuration of the Blade Pro 17" that has G-Sync?

Unfortunately no, only blade 15 with qhd 240hz model has it on current model. Only blade pro 17 2016/2017 4K has g sync but it’s not available anymore.

I see 100 Watts which is what I expected but I also see Dynamic Boost 2.0 yes.

Hi, I just received my RBP 17 4K 3080 and I don't see Dynamic Boost in the NVIDIA Setting Pannel.
Could it be because I updated drivers?
Would you mind confirming that you do have Dynamic Boost 2.0 in yours?
Thanks
