You guys were fast to reply! Thank you very much. :smile_:

Do you play with decent graphics, or do you lower them? Does the laptop heat fast?

So I've made a video so you can actually see how Starcraft 2 runs and how loud the laptop gets while you play:

any updates on this new Stealth with the 10th gen CPU?
What can we expect from that device?

i'm on the fence about getting one of these machines + an egpu instead of something with higher specs.

Intel make comparison between iris pro 64eu in this icelake cpu and ryzen 3 3700 Vega 10, result is better than after. It has configurable tdp (cTDP) to increase tdp to 25 watt and increase performance as well but with higher temperature as trade off, I think stealth which has not bad cooling system for ultrabook is key for this feature, with bad cooling it’ll be useless. Other new intel graphics software features, adaptive since on ultrabook cpu are also introduced, and it’s 3 times more powerful than predecessor which make it playable playing games on 1080p, but probably light titles like Overwatch. No ETA yet but I think i saw on roadmap it’s 2020.

Hi all,

I received a new Stealth about 48 hours ago and have noticed the speakers are giving off a static type of sound? The sound goes away when I mute the audio and rolling back to an older driver caused it to go away entirely. Thing is, this older driver is clearly not intended for the new Stealth and as a result, the sound feels quite... "small"?

When are Razer going to release an updated audio driver for this thing? Or where can I get an older driver that will actually utilize the hardware correctly?

Thanks

Hi Skeith, just wondering if you ever found a fix for this? I'm having the same issue, having just received my new laptop...

Many Thanks

I mean, I found that installing the driver from the Razer support page fixed that issue for me entirely. I know they say "oh just download it from windows update" but that's nonsense, I had to go and download it manually from the support website.
Please could you link the download. I did have a look on their site for a audio driver but couldnt seem to find the latest one.

Thanks!

On this website, it's the "Realtek driver":

So, I got my Stealth. It has coil whine.
I've read a lot of people have it too, and getting a new unit doesn't change that. It seems to be a permanent defect of the Stealth itself. Should I try to get a new unit or is it better to just get used to it? Is there anyone in here that does NOT have any coil whine at all?
I guess im lucky with mine that I cant hear any coil whine … Is the coil whine under heavy load , or is it noticeable at idle ?

I can hear crackling when the SSD is accessed , i.e via doing a Windows Defender scan , but you have to put your head to the laptop to hear it.

I don't have any when idle, but it happens on certain websites thay may be too demanding. I switched the settings to battery saving too. The noises come mostly from the keyboard.

All i hear from my keyboard most of the time is the cooling fans , which are set to 2600 RPM when in balanced mode. 100% no whine on mine.

Have you checked out the 1.06 Bios released for the Stealth 2019 ? Im note sure what the new bios does as i cant find any notes on it.

So, do you think it's worth asking a replacement unit if you really don't have any coil whine?

Might be worth raising a ticket about it.

Anyone frustrated with their trackpad/touchpad?

Anyone frustrated with their trackpad/touchpad?

Mine seems ok , but sometimes stops responding every now and then after resuming the laptop.

Same as mine. Touchpad juststops working after resume. Additionally, volume and brightness buttons don't sometimes work after resume as well. Seems to be a Synapse issue.

Yeah, I'm guessing that it's Synapse waiting to get an internet connection and log in. It's one of the things about Synapse that bothers me--rather than just using the internet as a cloud backup, it doesn't actually apply my settings until I have internet access.

Does this happen when you're resuming from sleep, or only when you've been shut down?
Yeah I think it is a Synapse issue as well. It seems to create multiple profiles and I have to go and delete them every now and then.

I`m probably lucky because my unit does not have coil whine at all. Only hardware issue is probably a bit of backlight bleed, but I can live with it.

Did anyone actually install the latest Bios (1.06) and the new EC update (1.02)? What does it actually improve? Both was updated on Razer`s website on the 11th of July, 2019.

Also interested to hear about this... didn't realize these had been updated again. I wonder what they're supposed to address.

Has anyone found a skin provider for the 2019 Razer Blade Stealth? I love the machine, but holy fingerprints.

I've been using dbrand for a while now - best answer for the fingerprints.. I know I'm replying way late, but well.. 🙂
