Why was the individual key back lighting removed though? :slightly_sad:

Pretty sure for thermal optimization on intensive usage like gaming, had a bit thicker mx150 ultrabook it was hot even with only white backlight keyboard.

"All-new superior gaming performance" ? what ?

Don't get me wrong, this new model looks incredible.

But it's only a MX150 ... so basically a GT 1030, so it's not meant for gaming on its own. You'll still need a Razer Core.

It’s better for gaming than an Uhd 620 on most ultrabook and even Iris plus on latest MacBook Pro 13, yeah for 1080p all max still not capable though, do you want putting 1060 on it:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:

Any sign of a UK release date?

1600 dollars for a Full HD MX150. Ouch!

Would have loved to see the $999 price point stick. Spec improvements for the base model arent worth the 400 dollar price hike. 😞

Nice to see this design coming to the blade stealth, and its also nice that it comes with a slight upgrade over the intel graphics now, bigger SSD's would be nice on the lower end model as a option though.
I'd be interested to know what the brightness is on both FHD and 4K models along with what the thermal management looks like.

I'm happy with Blade 14, in between 13 & 15, GTX1060 & individual key back lighting, just bigger bezel have to live with it.

Those are some nice upgrades. I'm glad that Razer is putting an emphasis on speaker sound quality and affordability of Razer laptops now. Sound quality of speakers and affordability has always been the major weakness of Razer's laptops.

I'm hoping we could see some of these improvements in the 2019 Razer Blade 15 with GeForce 20 graphics. Hopefully I can get a hold of a Gunmetal color option for that one, or at least a version with the sleek tone-on-tone logo.

EDIT:
Just found out that the screen has been nerfed down from an IPS panel to a TFT panel. I guess there's going to have to be a compromise if the price is to go down. On the bright side, the secondary keys now light up!

NO NO AND NO!

Stop cheating the shift key to make room for those arrow keys, I think having the up/down take up the space of a single key was just fine. I had to get an aero15x v8 at work because of this. It used to be just the pro, but now your entire lineup is ruined with this. Keyboard layouts matter. I can't own another razer laptop until you fix this.
Use ryzen processor please !

I actually just watched this video. I guess it really depends on what the user wants. On paper, the Blade Stealth has better specs and is a few hundred dollars cheaper. But I guess some consumers who are big fans of the Apple ecosystem may choose the latter over the stealth. Both great laptops, but I personally like the stealth lol

Its not right that people have to buy after market chargers to be able to use it! Their CEO in the video advertised it as a gaming laptop!

I will also be returning mine

Discharging under load may also be be addressed by software, maybe some bugs make it draw more power than it should, if it can keep 15 Watt cpu and 25Watt gpu it should be enough for 65 Watt ac Adapter to not to wearing the battery inside the stealth, when I’m not wrong Fans rpm is even higher than Blade 15 (Blade 15 max 5000rpm), when it’s higher, it maybe also the culprit from that issue.

I'd buy one if I had money :P
Great quality, and now with dedicated graphic card, cool.
Very nice. Ordered mine yesterday and will be here friday. Should be good enough for light indie gaming and maybe video editing. Should go will with my Razer Core for when I have it at home.

The new blade stealth looks pretty nice, but I'm kinda bummed out by the interesting tradeoffs they made from last year's model to this year's. I personally have the Late 2017 blade stealth and enjoy using it for school every day. I find it strange that they upgraded the cpu and gpu, but lowered the base resolution down to 1080 without the touch. I never really considered the blade stealth as a "gaming" laptop like its older siblings. I always thought the of the blade as the laptop that you could easily bring on the go and it had the benefit of also being a gaming laptop if you wanted to. I'm gonna miss the customizable keyboard lighting, but will look forward to more improvements that Razer will make :D

If you think of it as a Gunmetal Razer Blade Stealth you'll see it's not as much of a side grade as it seems. The gunmetal model only had white leds. So you atleast have the option to change the color on this one. I will miss being able to change WASD to a different color. Not a deal breaker. And at 13.3" 1080p is perfectly fine. Plus it should consume less battery power giving it better battery life compared to the 4k model. But, I agree the loss of touchscreen is a bummer. Plus I like the non glowing razer emblem. It makes the stealth look "Stealth". All in all I think they did enough with this update.
