Aaahhhhh. I just plugged my laptop in and experienced some good old not charging. Like, usb-c connection problem. Switched to the other side port and it worked. Switched back, wiggled it some, and it then showed plugged in. Hopefully this is not going to be a recurring problem.

... while hoping that CPU temp will go down with the 9th Gen Intel Mobile

If you can play around with the setting, on Blade and in game you can keep 8750H cpu temperature in 80ish, pretty similar temperature with 7700H.

At this point I'm waiting for the R/GTX 2060 model to upgrade

I also hype for new Turing mobile, rumor maxq 2080/70/60 was end this year announcement, but with big mess on Turing launch, I’m kind pessimistic getting it as early adopter, long preorder waiting time, artifacts, DOA gpu is known issue on this gen.

Very nice. Ordered mine yesterday and will be here friday. Should be good enough for light indie gaming and maybe video editing. Should go will with my Razer Core for when I have it at home.

This is great, please update us with early benchmarks with your core setting since we don’t have eta yet in EU.
How about the same specs as I listed but swapping with a GTX 1080? Not the Ti. Would that help run games at 60FPS at 1080p?

I think it’ll be no problem with that aimed FPS and resolution, had my previous Blade with 7700HQ which is similar performance with your 8850 paired with 1070ti on 1440p, could manage Far Cry 5 and FFXV 40 to 50fps, so 1080p should do 60fps~. On FFXV when I’m not wrong it was max 60fps on 1080p when I tested it. 1070ti/1080 is sweat spot for ultrabook cpu atm imo, more than that maybe you’ll get better performance, but worse performance for bucks.

Hm, never really thought about it as a Gunmetal Blade stealth upgrade, but now that you mention it, I can see it now. I guess to achieve the long battery life, they had to forgo the base 4k resolution in favor of a better gpu and cpu. It definitely is a great machine, it's just up to the user for what they look for in a thin and light laptop.

Just have to think outside the box. lol

Looks my unit is stuck in customs do to Razer forgetting to send a Commericial Invoice. I just did a chat with Razer Support and they claim they are working on it. Being the holidays I can assume it's probably a mad house for them at the moment so hopefully it'll be cleared up shortly.

I have to disagree

Nvidia did have a lot of bad press for the launch and even more for "issues" with some cards.

However, while they did not have the greatest launch of all time, they did what they had to do to promote real time ray tracing. With AMD having nothing to offer the the moment, the timing was perfect to go ahead with a new technology while taking a minimal risk.
While the 20XX series is one for early adopters and doesn't come cheap, what they achieved is actually pretty incredible. Who would have thought that, in 2018, we would be able to get 60+ FPS in 1080p with real time ray tracing? And it's only the beginning, since optimization hasn't even started yet. Things will only get better with the next gen/refresh. But only time will tell if it gets adopted by the end user ...

As far as issues go, numbers speak by themselves and the issues are only affecting less than 2% of the 2080 ti model. Anything related to computers and electronics with a sub-2% failure rate is actually a success in this day and age. It had a lot of bad press, but if you look at the facts, it's not as bad as it looks.

So yeah, I'm still hyped for Turing Mobile 🙂

Yea may go this route when I think I can get everything for second price except the V4 Blade Stealth. I’ll just have to figure out how to get a good price for the stealth under the quad core configuration, which is the i7-8500U in the V4 config. Should be enough for 1080p with the core And maybe 1070 standard. That might be the best route to go. I like my options.

Rip, lol. Well, it's definitely a good portable laptop. Enjoy it bro.
XPS doesn't have a discrete GPU to keep cool though...

MacBook Pro 13 vs the new Blade Stealth

Considering this basically what I was trying to decide I wish this was released a bit quicker. Or maybe I shouldn't have such a trigger finger and buy the New Stealth as soon as I saw it. lol.

Everything I've read in the last few days really points to the Stealth being better in almost every way. The one main point that Apple wins is the screen. It would have been nice if Razer had a 2560x1440 screen. I think that would've been a great middle ground and would've helped justify the expensive pricing on the MX150 model.

I'm about ready to drive out to Tennessee and get my laptop from customs myself. Hurry up Razer!

Hello,
could somebody please be so kind to post the download link for the sounddriver to stop the crackling sound from the speakers?

Thanks a lot!

This worked for me when driver update didn't.

Well mine been stuck in customs for about five days now. Fedex says they're waiting on Razer for a Commercial Invoice. So it's sounds like negligence to me. Lol. I'll contact again today since it's due in today at the latest. Been a long time since I've used an Apple trackpad. But I do remember them being the most responsive and accurate compared to any windows trackpad. Unless I'm just watching youtube or something I always use a mouse. So I normally don't notice. Lol. It's funny because the 12.5" Blade stealth had a 2560x1440. But I guess very few manufacturers make that screen resolution for laptops. Probably another reason macbooks are so expensive. Lol

MacBook is great with their trackpad, sound and design...that’s all, hardware wise. I want to look on my hand that 1080p seemly great one, for media consumption maybe fine on that size, but not gaming personally, can’t going back to 1080p, though bigger 1080p will bottleneck mx150 lol. Had mx150 with 1080p ultrbook, it was fine resolution for some games but it was too hot on the cassis doing long session, seemly new stealth has a great cooling system and for Rocket League and cs go on the go it’s sweet portable device.

Why is there no driver & Software download for the new Stealth. At the homepage there are no drivers at all, why?

https://support.razer.com/de-de/gaming-systems/razer-blade-stealth-13-2019

Google Razer blade support and it’ll lead you here. Idk why on that link, maybe german page isn’t updated yet, drivers is already there quite a while I believe.

Looking for some confirmation on an issue I had. No matter what setting changes I made in power management, nvida console or synapse when on battery my CPU would drop to about 1ghz. Playing a game I could see it's up higher and when unplugged it dropped and my fps would eat sh!t. Is this normal with the RBS 2019? Anyone else notice this?

Yap that’s how Razer Blade with nvidia dgpu (not quite sure about pro model but I think it’s same) and a lot other brands gaming laptops act like this. Internal battery can’t provide full performance on max load unlike on power adapter performance. Blade stealth 2019 with MX150, on load cpu eats up to 15 watt and gpu 25 watt plus other parts, without downclocking and other limitation on battery mode the it will run out really fast, for full performance and better experience you need ac adapter. You can check on nvidia experience though battery mode, and switch it to max performance 60fps (if there’s any), on Blade 15 it’s a bit better than max battery 30fps, but still way better with ac Adapter plugged.

I just checked Fedex tracking - looks like mine cleared customs and should be here tomorrow!

Hopefully yours is the same!

Seems mine got updated too. Very nice. :cool_:

As Notebook check has a mini review up of the new stealth.

Unfortunately it does. It just went to 92% after about 1h of gaming.
I just bought the Wacom 100W USB-C charger which was reported to solve this issue. I will report back once I get it.

That's really frustrating. You shouldn't have to purchase an aftermarket AC adapter. Eager to hear how it works out for you though.

Quikie
Has anyone successfully updated their 2019 Stealth to the 1.02 bios? Just got mine today, no whine, no light bleed. It just hangs at 99%. I have installed every update besides that.

I think lots of folks have applied the BIOS update with success but, again, unless your battery is going below 95% while plugged in, it's probably normal behavior.
Looks beautiful.

Hello everyone!
I'm interested in this device.
I do play games, but not ones that require heavy specs : I only play StarCraft II and Hearthstone, and I don't intend on playing anything else.
Do you recommand the Stealth with MX150 for this, or is the device still too weak in your opinion?

It's absolutely fine for those games ;-)

I've been playing Division 2 on mine(in 1080p and low/medium details) and it can maintain locked 30fps without any issues. Apex Legends works fine and runs at 40-50fps at medium settings in 1080p. Forza Horizon 4 runs at locked 30fps with everything set to High.

I can try Starcraft 2 if you want me to, but I think it should be absolutely fine.
TK-1987

Playing my favorite game. . .file updates. Lol.

I won't have anything to report tonight, but hopefully tomorrow I'll have my Razer Core hooked up and let everyone know how it goes with this laptop.

Finger print smudges already. . .:mad_:

AYY you finally got it! Looks real clean (minus the finger prints). Definitely, strange looking at it compared to my 2018 Blade stealth lol.
I second the above poster. I am playing Startcraft II just fine. I would imagine Hearthstone is fine as well.

You should see the top lid. lol. Dbrand can't make a skin for this fast enough. :wink_:

Lol, yeah Dbrand will definitely help with those fingerprints. I guess they're working on it because the new blade stealth re-design kinda came unexpectedly. I say kinda because it is already established that Razer will refresh their products every year, but I don't think anyone expected the new boxed out design. So Dbrand has to adjust for that. I need to get a Dbrand skin for my blade stealth, I'm stuck deciding on the carbon fiber, matrix, or the matte black.

Yeah Razer is one of the few companies that keep product announcements hush hush until they're actually launched. And the new look played a big part into why I impulse bought that laptop. Very clean and distinctive look. The muted logo is definitely the way I think the company should go for the future laptop released. Though I will say if they release a mercury white version I'm gonna be upset. lol

See I want Black Marble or Dragon Skin. lol. I do have the carbon fiber on my old Blade 14. And it's nice. Matte Black might be a good look too as it will look stock.

So I've made a video so you can actually see how Starcraft 2 runs and how loud the laptop gets while you play:

Wow. That's some real dedication to help the community. I'm genuinely impressed! Thank you a lot, that's amazing. You're incredible.
