Synapse 4 & Razer Tartarus Pro Macro/Lighting Key Combination

I’ve been enjoying the Razer Tartarus Pro so far and have enjoyed working on getting everything setup and ready to go. Here’s one scenario I can’t figure out how to achieve:

I would like to press a key on the Tartarus Pro that toggles a macro on/off. So far so good. I would also like that same key press to toggle the color of that single key accordingly (i.e. red if macro is on/running, green if macro is off/stopped).

Is there any way to achieve this? I see some key options have an “Add Secondary Function” ability which would be exactly what I need (primary = toggle macro on/off, secondary = switch chroma effect) but unfortunately it only looks like this option is not supported for macro/lighting key options.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey I know this is a few months old but I think I found how to do what you want. The key here isn’t to use the Macro to change the color or the “Secondary Function”. Instead you want to use Chroma Studio to do this.

For my case I created 2 Wheel Effect Layers one being my Main theme. The other which I will refer to as Toggle Wheel being placed at the top of the layers acting as my color button to test (You will need a Wheel Layer for each key you want to have this “toggle color feature”). You set the settings for the Color Wheel Layer you set the color to be solid whatever you want to indicate that its active in my case I just used green. Then set the speed to 0 and the playback Start and End to “On Selected Keys Pressed” (The reason why you need each key to have its own “Color Wheel layer” is because you only want that key to toggle not all of them).

Once that is done you are good to go I believe. Don’t hold me to that as I just saw your post and started messing around with ideas haha. Though if you have any issues I’ll try to work out any kinks if I can. I also attached an image of mine. With mine its setup so when I hit the 01 key it will toggle green until hit again. Once its hit again it will rejoin the other keys in the Main theme but the Main Wheel can be whatever you want thats just the base layer and what I like.

Hope this helps!
