Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 on Synapse 3!

As in the title, I have recently purchased this cool headset but I cannot modify it from the chroma option of synapse 3 cause kraken 7.1 v2 is not supported. Is there any chance to be implemented in?

Why run both 2 and 3? Are there some components that aren't supported by 2? I just have a LanceHead mouse and the Kraken headset, so maybe I'm missing something. The only really annoying part for me is the update notification popping up all the time letting me know that 3 is out there.


The Chroma functions, amongst other things are way more advanced in Synapse 3 compared to 2. And since the 7.1 Kraken supports Chroma, it would be nice if it could be synced with the other products Razer have made available in Synapse 3, which you can customize much, much more. Kinda looks off if the keyboard and mouse chroma lights are synced in a specific colour and pattern, but the headset just sits there and does not wanna play along. You know.

So far mine has been working with no issues

im with you, not had one problem at all really, dont even open it. leave it on start up and its not a problem. yup its annoying having a man o war wireless and having just one program for one product when all my others are on 3.0 but im not to worried its a pain but im not to fussed. hopefully one day boys (and maybe girls) one day!

So here we are almost a year later in the same situation... I can finally see they are adding some usb headphones to synapse 3: like the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition, but still no word on others... like one of the most famous headset they have, the kraken 7.1 v2. The whole reason I switched to razer was the software... well not the software only, but it was a strong selling point for me. Had no idea it will take this long if ever. Do we have to start cursing here to get some attention? As someone working in the industry, I just don't get why is it taking so long.

You would think with the popularity of the kraken 7.1 v2 they would include it into Synapse 3 first but even after years of waiting there is still nothing on the horizon so far.

Am I the only one who's headset every now and then gets disconnected from Synapse 2.0??? what the hell razer... I can't use even synapse 2.0 anymore!? 😃 Headset is working fine.

Still... Razer... Seriously. I want to configure my Kraken too... But is there really 2 Synapses to be installed? That cant be the solution to this...

Reinstall Synapse 2, mine has done that twice in the last few weeks. It's a pain but seems to fix it.:frown_:

This is still happening, it seems easiest to just keep Synapse 2 uninstalled:frown_:

Yeah that sucks hard. That's the reason my next headset wont be a razer. Using synapse 2 is awful and I got so many problems with it. I'll get a new one in 3 months. If synapse 3 isnt supporting headsets until then, ill get a HyperX. Software is just such a big problem on so many hardware brands, not only razer 😕

Don't get me wrong - I have a set of Kraken v2s as well as Nari Ultimates - the fact that this very popular headset isn't supported yet is indeed a bummer. But to say that there are literally no options is simply not true.

There's no options for the people who can't afford to just scrap perfectly good hardware, to upgrade for software purposes because a multi million dollar company can get off their asses and fix software support for their most popular headset retroactively..

I even redownloaded synapse 2.0 and it doesn't show up. When opening 2.0 it only brings up the settings tab where it links me to download 3.0.

I know the feel- keeping synapse 2 just for one headset. To make things worse it resets the settings every time my system starts, so I need to constantly change the volume. So annoying

I have a familiar issue, though my problem is that the headset settings is reset every time. Synapse 3 won't help for sure cuz kraken is not supported there. The only thing that comes in my mind right now is trying to reinstall synapse 2 and try again

I recently spoke with a dev and they said they are working on an update for Synapse 3 that will enable it to recognize all Razer devices that are supported in Synapse 2. It should be coming out in the near future and fingers crossed it fixes the problem. Hope this info helps!

I'm the product manager for Synapse and I can categorically say this is NOT true. Synapse 3 will NOT support all Razer devices. It is logistically and technically impossible for us to do so. All legacy device work is currently suspended and there is no such update in the works at this moment.

Awesome, so a Razer employee lied to me. I'm starting to lose faith in you guys. Why would you release a new synapse that doesnt support newer products? Why does the Nari work but not the Kraken? Why push your Mercury and Quartz stuff on us when you dont feel like supporting it? Maybe I should just though all my Razer stuff away since it seems like you guys dont care about your customers. Great business practice Razer

I emailed Razer a few months ago and they said that they would add support for the Kraken 7.1 V2 but there still isn't support. Now my headset Chroma isn't in sync with my other Razer stuff. :mad_:

They are completely overwhelmed with all those things. No plan, no working software developement, no experienced hardware designers, no CEO that cares or that knows howto !
It's a fake of a premium company. They only have a nice color, and some fanboys, only a lot of cold air.

Well, I disagree with you regarding their CEO. Their CEO cares and really listened to feedback. He brought back paid to play (although not as good as previous one but he added more ways to earn silver), released Razer Monitor (although it is a bit too expensive) and replied to tweets on Twitter (although mostly streamers and popular person) despite of death threats(I dunno which irrational person did that). Please bear in mind that Razer is the only company that provides many freebies to gamers compare to others (although it is a bit hard to earn). So we need to be thankful that we have him.

You see, the problem actually relies on the software development team, especially Razer Synapse 3 ones, you should blame them, not the CEO, the CEO has a lot of things to care about and he is currently busy handling stuffs (follow his twitter account)

May be, you are right. I never got or read a feedback from him, on the serious problems Razer has, when it comes to software development.
And there is also another fact, that is positive to Razer: they have a forum like this here. And meanwhile, they don't delete all those posts, negative to their company. I like that, and therefor I am still here.
But what I don't like, and never will, is a situation, that expensive hardware comes out with design problem or with buggy drivers, within a frame of two years. Thats a NO GO !
And also, e.G. , that expensive hardware, like blades, die because of battery problems, or Tartarus thumb keys break within month. Never got an official statement. There is no excuse, that some other compmpanies habe similar problems !

Anyone who went for this decision is not thinking about customer but only about self comfort. Which is LAME MANAGEMENT.

Same sh*t, different day (with Kraken 7.1 v2). I have 5 RAZER devices. Only one is not supported by Synapse 3 - Kraken 7.1 v2. Shame RAZER.
