Can i ask are Razer Dealthadder Elite was supported to the Razer synapse 3 ?
Not currently. Synapse 3 is still in Beta, and this page has a list of all currently supported devices. Also, just in case you are on Mac OS, Synapse 3 is not available for use with that operating system yet.
Is there any news regarding progress made towards a full release? Or at the very least, support for previous gen Razer products? It's been quite a long time since Synapse 3/Pro was first mentioned.
Min announced at the keynote that they are also working on providing support for legacy devices. I say trust Min's words and wait, I'm sure that they are definitely working on it!
Their one intern is hard at work!
I can't wait for them to add the others Razer devices to Synapse 3 Synapse 3 is amazing and powerfull, and Synapse 2 is the worst app of the world (and the most bugged).
I read that it will even be backward compatible with older Razer devices. That's the icing on the cake.
Yeaaaah that's cool
Since 6 month I can't use the Chroma on my Razer Stuff (Ornata, Mamba TE, Chroma Mug, Razer Kraken, etc) because Synapse 2.0 is broken and Synapse 3 is empty of device compatibility
I'm not sure they have an intern anymore lol. News around the block is that turn over is pretty high, at least in San Francisco and Irvine, CA.
Oh yes I think your completly right.. because no sloow as f***k.. and no news, no roadmap, no patch notes and no release date!!
Alright folks, I see a lot of speculation and anger in this thread, so I'll try pitching in.
Yes, we're working on adding support for more legacy devices. We added support for 3 older devices to Synapse 3 just this month.
As opposed to the popular belief, we're not holding devices hostage just for the sake of it or because our "1 intern that works on Synapse" is lazy. Synapse 3 requires development from ground up and that takes time. The new products had been in development on Synapse 3 for a few months leading up to their release, the same effort has to go into every single legacy device that we bring on Synapse 3.
The easiest way out for us would be to draw a line and leave all the Synapse 2 devices behind... a driver package already exists for them and no promises were made about Synapse 3 when they were released (Synapse 3 didn't even exist). But that wouldn't be the best experience for existing users who would have to use 2 software to control their devices. And what's not right for our users isn't right for us, full stop. So, we fully committed ourselves to bringing as many Synapse 2 devices to Synapse 3 as feasible (technically and logistically).
But as mentioned before, there is no magic stick that will make devices appear in Synapse 3. A lot of ground-up development and testing work has to go into adding support for legacy devices and it will be a slow process which will take months, but we'll continue working on it well into 2018.
Nice to hear that My complete Setup is Chroma, Synapse 2.0 does not work anymore for me (I think too many devices, I got over 20 Tasks from Razer software everytime) and also the support just told me to hope for Synapse 3.0 because they got no solution (not even clean windows helped...).
So actually just the Firefly is supported, do you know if the Mug Holder and the Blackwidow Chroma V1 has a chance to come to Synapse 3.0 ? I strongly believe that you will update the Deathadder Elite so I got no worries there but my other devices ... :/
Appreciate the update, was getting a little worried, but very glad its being worked on.
Keep up the good work!
Also... Is there anyway the community can help with testing of these legacy items?
Yes, absolutely. The primary testing has to be done by Razer, there's no way to get around that. But once the release is out in the public, please report any and all bugs you encounter... it is always highly appreciated when the users submit bug reports with all relevant details. The engineering team was able to fix a bug less than 24 hours recently because they received all the correct information.
As opposed to the other popular theory of Synapse being a keylogger and tracking users' actions, we have absolutely no visibility into what's happening on your PCs until you choose to report it to us. Some bugs can only be reproduced under specific conditions, which is only evident once we can see the Synapse event log. Without that, it's basically shooting in the dark and guessing what the possible fix could be.
@Razer|The_Fiend - could you tell more details about Synapse 3? I saw some people were whining about Synapse 2.0, that when driver was installed, some "smoothing" were enabled on all mouses. Will it be fixed in new Synapse 3?
Shhh check the list then check to see if some of those things exist....I'm being serious...the list is very trolly
Hoping the Kraken 7.1 V2 gets added down the line, since it's the only device I own that does not use 3.0.
I doubt Razer would leave off any item that is currently on the Razerzone since 3.0 is the next wave. Actually your post got me interested in the spec page and I see that the Kraken is currently at a discount with $20.00 dollars off in savings. If I was making a purchase I would get the Mercury White version. All my other peripherals look the same.
Same, waiting just for this!
Could we please keep bumping this thread to the top, because I've seen so many people whining lately how their products aren't supported by Synapse 3 and that it was a waste of money getting it, blah blah. I keep trying to refer them to the Synapse 3 FAQ's but more of the posts appear everyday!
So please, make sure this stays up there!
