Black Widow V4 Pro Command Dial not working | Razer Insider

I have gone through multiple support cases with this issue and have not gotten a resolution so I figured I’d come here and see if anyone has seen this or experienced this yet. The command dial does not respond at all, and the whole keyboard page in synapse 3 does not load.

 

I purchased it via amazon, and first went through getting a replacement from them per the first ticket I opened with Razer support and the same behavior occurs on the new keyboard with new cables and every combo in between.

So far the troubleshooting steps I have done are:

I don’t have a separate PC that I can test this on unfortunately and would like to avoid reinstalling windows if at all possible. 

 

Any ideas?

Recently bought the Yellow Switch UK Layout of the Blackwidow V4 Pro.

The command dial works fine up until Synapse loads and the service initiates, kicking in the custom made profiles.

Razer.. please fix.

yes, it doesn't work when Synapse 3 is active
with the fact that I noticed that even when the zoom option is working, it interferes with the scrolling option, so zooming a little scrolls a little, in some applications, such as a browser,...or in illustrator it just scrolls

I bought it yesterday and if the problem is not solved by the time I have the right to return it, I will return it to the seller ...


i got same error btw and it appears that when you config a custom action it do catch same action and consider it for the same 
tried before as F14 and got same issue 
and then again for F24 



to change I'm using hyper shift (SHIFT + Function Knob)

I have the same issue. Just bought the keyboard a couple days ago. I would love to keep this keyboard, but with such major software issues, I dont feel like the huge amount of money is worth it. 
@razer you lose business due to this … 


A year later, just bought and having the same issue..Is this going to be fixed, lol


Just got off with customer support. Did nothing to help except have me uninstall all kinds of things and reinstall and do a bunch of restarts. Still the Dial Command button is not working. Also When I pulled this out of the box yesterday and plugged it in it worked perfect. Then I did the S3 to S4 update and that's when it stopped working. Tried to go back to S3 but not working still. What a shame! I had a Leviathan that broke during Covid 2019 and when trying to deal with customer support they kept telling me to try back that the office was closed even emailed and got the same response. I reached out in the time frame they gave me and wouldn't you know it they told me I was out of warranty by 105 days… I said then I would never buy from them again what an idiot I am! My ENTIRE room is Razer everything even custom Fan covers, so much for customer loyalty these days.

Same experience with Black widow V4 Pro and synapse 4. Customer support very quick to auto close case. Tried several countermeasures including full uninstall. I have two keyboards with the same issue. The bug is in Synapse. Hopefully they will resolve.


So, i bought this keyboard with green switches (the only available choise with nordic layout).

The first keyboard had issues with alot of keys, END button didnt work at all, alot of keys sometimes didnt work at all or made the same input 3 times in a row with one klick. So i did an RMA warranty issue about it, i payed for another keyboard, got the replacement and ofcourse it had the exact same issue but with other keys. So i sent both back, and got my third replacement keyboard, which also had the same issue. 

I am now on the 4th replacement keyboard, now all the keys work flawlessly input wise except the Command Dial, when i press it, it dosnt change its function, but if i twist it to lets say change window, then press it down to choose window it works. I just cant change its function by pressing it. But its not the only issue, some keys dosnt “klick” when pressing so all keys sound different when pressed. Some keys has more push resistance than others.. This is so sad..

This could be an awesome keyboard, but there is way too much issues with it.. I used Razer all my life, as log as they existed. Razer nommo pro, mousemats, mouse, keyboards, headphones etc and never ever experienced this much issues with anything.

The issues started when my brand new Blackshark V2 Pro headphones got a broken microphone. They dont have replacements on the website and havent had it in stock for years now.. Sad to have to buy a new headset when its just the detatchable mic that is broken but the headset still works flawlessly..

And now this keyboard… So annoying. What the hell happened to Razer?….

Im starting to feel it might be the time to change brands even if i dont really want to..
