Hello My Friend,

Thank you for your reply. I have done Clean Synapse reinstall like 20 times already and did Windows Reinstall two times. Nothing helps.. If Synapse is on my keyboard do this sticky keys mess all the time. Only one solution I have at the moment - just disable Synapse and enjoy. However it makes Synapse application completely useless for me and without it I can't use any macro on the keyboard.

I have very mixed feelings about this product to be honest. The keyboard is very nice, stand is great, RGB is good, however amount of Synapse software issues makes it just useless to have enabled.

Thank you and have a good day.

From your post it's most likly this is a softwere issue. try to contact razer and ask about firmware app updater and point this issue to synapse softwere team. At this moment i dont think you can do more to resolve this ;/

I LOVE THE DESIGN OF THE KEYBOARD:smile_:
I am also having issues where some of the keys are registering as being held down LONG after I physically release them. I’ve exchanged the original thinking it could be hardware related, but the second keyboard is doing the same. I’ve tried clean installs, different USB ports, but it happens a few times a session. I’ve sent customer support a few emails but they want video (working on it), and seem to be unaware of the issue. This makes me think there’s no resolution coming soon.
the same thing happening to me, keys keep registering down even after being released resulting in my character being stuck either moving to the left or right. while simply pressing the button again unstucks it this is very anoying.

I havent tried to remove the wrist rest as stated above but that is simply not a solution for this keyboard due to the high keys

I agree that it’s not a solution, Razer has to address this. It’s something that seems to correlate with the keys being treated as if they’re being held down when they’re not. I shouldn’t have to use another wrist rest but I paid full price for this keyboard and Razer isn’t being helpful, so I’m going to make the best of it
Im refunding it, its software related problem and they keep telling me the 4 same things on support over and over.
This looks like the tartarus pro sticky keys, so avoid it as long you can because at best its gonna take YEARS untill they fix it if they even try to do so
Yeah, I'm definitely having the repeating key issue as well. Not happy.
So, after a lot of back and forth (AND them proposing RMA) with the support team -- we were promised a fix, that was two months ago. Any chance that it will EVER be fixed? I quite love this keyboard, and I would gladly put it aside and use something else until it's fixed. I'm pretty disappointed with Razer and their software, but I guess it's somewhat better than having shitty software AND disgustingly bad build quality... looking at Logitech and their G915.
I got mine today. It's great! I love the build quality and comfort. I read quite often that the keyboard is quite loud. It's louder than my previous one but I actually like its sound. It's satisfying to type on it.

The analog feature is a hit or miss thing in the games I've tried. Either it works (partially) or it doesn't due to games limiting the input method for the session to the one the game was started with. If it works I find it somewhat hard to control because it doesn't make use of the full distance a key can travel. In games with a driving component I got full acceleration halfway through and therefore minor adjustments (acceleration or deceleration) are extremely difficult / require a lot of concentration.

I also wish Synapse would allow actuation point config beyond 3.6mm. When primarily typing I find myself often slightly hitting the edge of a nearby key and that is enough to trigger a key press.

Edit: I get the "keys stuck/repeating itself" problem as well. The only way to fix it permanently is to disable/uninstall Synapse but that renders a lot of my peripherie's features inaccessible/useless.

To those of you who experiencing the sticky key issue:
Are all your keys affected by this or only WASD? I've noticed it only on WASD and I wonder if it could be related to the "WASD to controller joystick" feature even though it's disabled.

Even my space bar managed to get stuck at some point.

edit: I installed the latest update, was hoping that maybe they addressed the issue, nope lol, D just got stuck again, how fucking useless. Unable to fix their damn flagship keyboard (and Elite before that) after all this time.. I got no words. I'll be getting rid of this keyboard soon, going to steer clear of razer for the rest of my life.

I've had it with Q and E as well.

I just dont get it. If optical switches are going to be their top of the line option, why wouldn't they address this issue ASAP? I have now returned a Huntsman Elite and a Huntsman V2 Analog for the same exact issue. Looks like I will be sticking with mechanical for good.
Yeah, after almost two weeks of back and forth with the support I'll return mine as well.

Another major issue I have is a configured actuation point of 3,6mm in Synapse is actually equivalent to 1.5-2.0mm on keypress. So, most keys register at or even before a key traveled half its max distance of 4mm. With actuation set to 1.5mm it registers a press at 0.5-1.0mm in practice. That's awful and especially renders analog inputs completely unusable.
Just refund it/fill a paypal dispute.
I had to because i sent the keyboard back and never got a response from them after that.

They wont fix shit, they got us good with the tartarus pro once, they are just doing the same.

Same issues with phantom / sticky keys…

Razer has asked that I exchange it, I have TWICE now. I am on my third and all three of them have the same issue. However, if you exit Synapse the issues go away completely.

Because it is a software issue. I wish they were open about it and possibly gave us some kind of ETA, this IS their flagship keyboard, after all.
Vorpal69
No. It still does it. This is ridiculous, no Razer representative will ever tell you anything about this issue with their flagship keyboard, they've been taught to stay silent on this one.

Yeah, I returned mine and was hoping for some good news to go repurchase one after I saw the Synapse update. My Blackwidow Elite has been rock solid, I guess I will just stick with that. The Huntsman V2 Analog has some great features though, they really need to address this issue. Definitely a missed opportunity for Razer.

I just got an email with a return label for this issue.
My support ticket says issue with W key (up) because that is what stuck in the video I sent them.
It has happened to me multiple times.. mostly with A and D.
WASD are the only keys that I use for moving around in games, so I am pretty sure it is not a switch issue.

Has anyone mailed their keyboard back for this issue and gotten results?

I thought there might be a chance they changed hardware, because I bought mine back when it first came out. I don't use WASD a ton for games, but that is what frustrates me.. I don't use it a ton, but still have the issue.

I really don't want to ship my keyboard in for something that is not even a hardware issue.

Last question, is there a way to talk to support on the phone?

I personally didn't go through the trouble of making the trade (and possibly getting a refurbished keyboard..) I mean, from what I have seen it is 100% related to software, playing with all Razer software off fixes the issue completely... but who knows -- they're not exactly open about it. Last time I spoke to support about it, they *somewhat* acknowledged that it is software related and that while they have no ETA they will fix it. It's been months, no fix. I heard that another piece of hardware that came with optical analog switches (tartarus pro?) also had the bug and it was fixed like two years later.

Just got mine yesterday. I believe the issue you guys are talking about is solely software related. Have you tried tweaking the actuation points? With the default setting, 1.5mm, I mistype a lot. I have set mine to 3.0mm in my work profile and the issue is gone. I did never like Razer Synapse... here is what I do about it: I set up my gear, save the profiles to the onboard memory and quit Synapse for good. I don't think it's a hardware issue. My previous keyboard was the very first Blackwidow Ultimate, back from 2010 and it is still rock solid and that's a great reason why I chose another Razer keyboard to replace it.

Let me change subject a little... is there a thread where people share their game profile analog settings? If not, whe should start one. What do you guys think?

Its not a typing problem, it literally spams the keys untill you hit them again.

I refunded it and got a different one (not same keyboard) and the problem is totally gone.
Same issues with the phantom/sticky keys, where it stays pressed until you press the button again.

It's 100% software-related because this doesn't happen with Synapse closed. I have also tried 3 different Huntsman v2's and they all have the same issue on my PC. I did do a full reinstall of Synapse (followed the entire tutorial made by Razer) and I even made a new account that I used to login to after I reinstalled Synapse to confirm it's not account related like some users mentioned.

I did do some troubleshooting on my own by tweaking with the settings in Synapse. It always felt like it happened at random moments (like once every 15-30 minutes), so I enabled Turbo mode by going into the settings for each individual WASD key and chose:

Keyboard Function -> Key Recording -> Rebind key to W -> Enable Turbo -> Speed (press/sec) 20.

I repeated the steps above for all WASD keys (you can do this for any other keys that you use alot in games).

Guess what, instead of the sticky issue happening once every 15-30 minutes, it now happens every 1-2 minutes.

This probably isn't very hopeful to anyone affected by this, but I haven't seen anyone else mention this. Now we kinda know that this issue happens a percentage of the times that Synapse and/or the PC/Windows registers a keystroke, instead of a user physically pressing the key. This "trick" should also make it somewhat easier for other users and Razer to troubleshoot this, since you can count on this issue happening every few minutes.

My next steps will be trying the turbo mode trick on a different PC to see if it also happens there, and if it doesn't, reinstall Windows on my main PC to see if that changes anything.

If anyone else is willing and able to try the Turbo mode trick aswell, please let me know if the same happens to you.

Thanks.

I think you may be onto something, it happened to me as well. Brand new PC btw, just built it.

Anyway, at this point I feel we are beta testing for Razer, so damn sad lol. Today they updated Synapse, every time I see an update I fool myself into thinking that the problem may be gone, but nope, it happened in the first 10 mins of gameplay. Never been so disappointed with Razer before.

I just tested it on 3 different PC's (1 with a clean Windows 10 install), with both an old and a brand new Razer account (some people said that would solve it on other Razer products with this issue). The same thing happens in every situation.

At this point I do not believe there's a single Huntsman V2 running with Windows 10 and Synapse that doesn't have this issue.

The only "solution" I know of would be to disable Synapse, which isn't an option for me as some of my favourite games will detect the keyboard as a controller, making it comepletely useless (yes useless, keys not working at all). Right now, this keyboard is great (the best I've ever used) for typing/work, but any gamer should stay far away from it.

I saw another thread of someone complaining about this and Razer support asked the customer to blow dust out of their keys. Ridiculous.

I'm just going to return this third keyboard aswell and go to another brand until Razer solves this garbage.
Yes, disabling Synapse will basically reduce your super advanced keyboard to a £50 keyboard that you can buy from Corsair or any other decent producer... So, it is totally worth the 5x price o_O.
The silent attitude of Razer over this issue is simply insulting, considering the price of the keyboard and the importance of the software integration in the Analog features. Basically the most advertised features of the Analog Keyboard are provided by the software. With the software disabled, that advantage gets cancelled.
I can safely speak for everyone here, guess we can go f*** ourselves. I'll be selling mine, I have researched and I'll be getting a HyperX Alloy Origins Core (aqua), it's solid and rather cheap. I suggest you guys go for another keyboard too. Don't get me wrong, Razer products are nice when they work or not break (i.e. naga, deathadder etc.) but most of their products are overpriced pieces of cheap plastic, the software USED to be perfect, now that is also shit. Anyway, that is all.

Just bought a Huntsman V2 Analog and unfortunately I am returning it for a full refund thankfully through Amazon and not Razer direct due to the issue that so many people have reported about the keys sticking. This is known to be caused by the Synapse software and the issue also plagues the Tartarus V2 Gaming Keypad and has been ongoing for months. My friend went trough months of testing with Razer Support to try and find the issue with his Tartarus V2 Gaming Keypad wasting so much of his time having him do their job effectively even though Razer knows it is a software issue and their final solution was not use Synapse which is a ridiculous considering Synapse is an integral part of the product (he still hasn't been able to get his refund). Not using Synapse is not a solution for me especially as this is not the only Razer product I have I have spent sooooo much money with Razer and their partners and I am disappointed that this is still not fixed by a company who's tag line is "for gamers by gamers" please Razer fix you software.

My Razer products
Mouse - Basilisk V2
Keyboard - Cynosa V2
Headphones - Nari
Speakers - Nommo Chroma
Mouse Pad - Goliathus Extended
Game Pad - Raiju Ultimate
Other - Chroma Addressable RGB Controller
Motherboard - ASRock B550 Taichi Razer Edition
Case - LIAN-LI PC-O11 Dynamic Razer Edition

I have the same case as you, suffice to say that I used to be a big supporter of Razer, now I'm just disappointed, this is truly unacceptable. What I hate the most is the lack of communication.
I don't use the keyboard anymore, I even tried selling it but it won't sell, reason being... I put in the description that this line is actually problematic, I don't want to create more victims. Anyway, has anyone tried the newest driver? It was a super long install and I'm curious if they made any big changes to synapse..

(I use naga X, I still can't store calibration profiles properly, they always reset, so that wasn't fixed)
