Personally, I use all of my 5 macro keys but I can see how some people wouldn't care

I just think its a waste of space and it gets in the way I like simple keyboards no extra marcos just MM keys and the keyboard itself. Razer should just make it so when you buy a keyboard it ask "Do you want Marco keys included?"

Hes just being one of those picky keyboard people that if it doesn't come with everything he wants he will complain about the small things The keyboard has RGB lights all over it and its first time including real MM keys so really nothing to complain about

I'll be honest, I have never once used my my 5 macro keys, so I'm happy to see them gone, it just made my keyboards longer than I needed. Also, I think it was back on the Tarantula, but they have had at least one keyboard in the past that had media keys on it. They've just been discontinued for a very long time. I'm really happy to see them make a comeback.

I've never been a fan of clicky keyboards, I always purchased membrane until they stealth varieties came out, but this one feels fantastic and I might be able to overlook the sound for the feel this time. Especially since I don't think it's bottomed out even once, the key presses are so light and easy they never even make it to the bottom, except for the spacebar. It's quite impressive.

I think for those with doubts you ought to at least give it a chance. :)

While the print on the keys are not backlit, you'd be pretty hard pressed to forget what they are. There are only three smaller keys: the left key is previous, the middle key is play/pause and the right key is next and the volume key is a bit bigger than the others. All of them are lit around the edges just like regular keys. I have memory issues and brain fog, and I doubt even I will need to use a flashlight to remember what is written on top of the keys. :big_grin_:
Also, they don't feel cheap at all, I'm not sure where that came from. *shrugs*

I think it's a beautiful piece of hardware, and I'm really drawn to how the wrist rest lights up, it really adds that little extra something. :)

It would've been an instant buy for me except for these missed/overlooked at features especially for a $200 keyboard:

  • No 5-key macros
  • Multimedia keys not backlit
  • Multimedia keys and volume knob/dial feel cheap/flimsy when pressed/turned
  • No USB pass-through ports

Nothing with this keyboard sets it apart from others with the small exception of their opto-mech switches. What I'm excited is future add-ons/accessories for the POGO pin connectors. Hopefully a V2 will include said missing features.

1. No one barely uses the 5 marco keys (They should just add an option for them at this point)
2. Who really cares about the MM keys not being backlit.
3. No they probably don't you are just being picky.
4. USB pass-through would be nice but not essential on a keyboard like this
5. There won't be a V2 for a very long time
new baby inta house? i like it!

I just got Blackwidow v2, but want this! 😳

I know the feeling... Less than a month ago too
Wow that looks awesome!
My wallet is already hurting from the steam summer sale lol. New optical switch is very interesting.

Wow this is pretty impressive, i guess no one was expecting a new keyboard, but mostly a new Blade. It looks sick i would very much like to give it a try someday. Great release Razer!

I was expecting it, since they didn't release a new keyboard for ages, and they presented this one on CES this year.
Looks dope!

Made Te one man, I don’t need the number keys.
Looks cool. Just before Min will be talking about idea stealing, yes, someone else already did it 😉
Called it! I love how much this keyboard represents that Razer is listening to what we want
Any ideas on UK availability?
Ok, great design. Now, where is the macro keys?
