Got mine today and at first was a bit worried. I tried the Logitech G513 a week ago and was devastated about the loud spring noise every single switch makes when released. I gave it 2/5 stars on Amazon (Germany) and another platform describing my experience and my disappointment.

Now the Razer Black Widow Elite has that, too, BUT...to a much lower degree. I'm able to directly compare it to my (failing) Corsair K70 Lux with Cherry MX Brown switches. They are much louder on their own, the switch "clicking" itself is louder, but the springs don't make a noise, not even a bit.

So this is definitely a thing and both companies should look into this. It seems there is still a difference between an age old company like Cherry who figured out these things over the past decades and a "newcomer" to the scene of custom switches like Logitech and Razer. Razer needs to work on it a little bit, more a matter of better quality in the future than a failed design, but Logitech needs to throw their Romer G switches into the trash and start from scratch with the design. Seriously, it is that bad! Unbearable!

That said I will keep the Razer. Like I mentioned, the spring noise is there, but barely noticable in everyday scenarios, even with the windows closed and no other sound source than my pc I have to put my head closer to the keyboards to clearly notice it. And the feel of the switches is definitely better, the overall quality of the keyboard is better and I love the customization (especially when it comes to keys and macros) with the software.

Good work Razer...but please look into the spring noise. It's a 180€ keyboard after all...

Did you take the green switches ?
They're the noisiest ones, the yellow or orange are far more discreet.
nice keyboard
Just purchased this the other day, it's amazing!!

I have the Razer Blackwidow Elite, Razer Deathadder Elite, and Kraken 7.1 V2 as my daily peripherals and I have no gripes or complaints about any of them. I also have a Lancehead TE that I've retired (still works fine).

Thank you for your insights! a little bit OT but may i ask why you retired the Lancehead in favour of the blackadder?
i really want this 😞
I can't say 'TAKE MY MONEY' because you left off the dedicated macro keys. Fail.
Is the wrist rest removable? I need to replace my current keyboard soon,, the wires are loose inside it i think or frayed 😛 I'd like the look of the blackwidow elite, but I don't really want the wrist rest 😛

Still rocking my previous gen Blackwidow Elite green switch edition. :cool_:
Seems pretty dope, but still a little bugged to see the Macro keys are gone. Hypershift is a lot less practical and just seems like more steps to do the same thing as before.
Great! See what the video doesn't understand, until the keyboard appears!
I have bought this keyboard and having problems to use the drivers.. I can use the keyboard, but Razer software and drivers doesn't recognize it.

EDIT: I have installed another Razer Synapse version, version 3, and now I can configure my keyboard on it. But the app that is installed with Razer_BlackWidowUltimate_Driver_v1.05 still doesn't recognize my keyboard and closes itself.
There's a 30% discount now, if anyone's interested: https://www.razer.com/promos/lightning-deals#razer-blackwidow-elite

Blackwidow without 5 macro key buttons at right side.... No!!

Right? The macro keys were a 'key' deciding factor in my purchase of the Black Widow.
