A feature which is common on most other phones with fingerprint sensors is the ability to unlock the phone while the screen is black. Simply placing a finger on the sensor will unlock the device. I recently bought a razer phone 2 because of the intelligent placement of the sensor, thinking I could lift my phone out of my pocket and already have it unlocked. Sadly after lots of looking there is no way to keep the fingerprint sensor always active. I understand it could be a battery drain or a security issue from accidental unlocks. But for those who want this feature, we without greatly appreciate a simply toggle option to keep the fingerprint sensor active while the phone is locked. does razor phone 2 have ar support and can we get it suported

As of this month many of the manufacturer are provided a slight info about which devices form theirs line-up get's an Android Q update. What about Razer? Seeing they re-consider the plan for RP1 and are giving out info about Pie update coming pretty soon, are we also going to see 2 major upgrade cycle? Just a little bit out of topic, what are your takes on update? Do you think manufacturer should do more support? I would say that 2 major upgrade are good, but Android is getting pretty modular and easier to upgrade than ever before, so i would say that adequate could be 3 major upgrade and security updates at least every quarter if not every month, what do you think?

So not too long ago I've only been using the charger and cable that came with my RP2. Now that cable refuses to work, same with the charger or if it does, it oscillates between charging/not charging constantly. (side note the usbc to 3.5mm dingle oscillates between connected/not connected) . I've tried new cables, new blocks, cleaning the usbc port on the phone but nothing works for long if it works at all. Anker usbc to usbc cables just flat out won't work, and Razer usbc to usbc cables don't work. i've only had luck with usbc to usb cables, and it's a 50/50 shot with that. If I even jostle the cable odds are it will quit charging. So my guess is some form of faulty usbc port. I've had this phone for about a year now and I'm not sure Razer will do anything replacement-wise. I love this phone but I wish the charging port would last longer. Sucks to have to slow charge this thing and hope it will even charge at all.

I have bought the RP2 a month ago and the phone sufferered from random freezes followed by reboots since. Since i was used from me previous phone to wake the phone and also shut the screen off with double tap i have activated the functions under settings->display->advanced "double tap to wake" and "double tap to sleep" and also in Nova Launcher settings->Gestures->Double Tap to "screen lock". With this settings on the RP2 behaved exactly as i wanted (as i was used to with my previous LG phone). But once or twice a day the phone became unresponsive just while lying on the table. When i wanted to wake the phone with double tap nothing happened, also the on/off switch was not working. And then maybe after a minute the phone rebooted itself. And this was the scenario day by day. I have than made a stress test and was double tapping the phone a lot of times. I could actually observe that after 5-10 times of waking the phone the double tap started to be sluggish. I double taped

So, I've been struggling with some issues with the Razer Phone 2 camera app for a while now and didn't manage to find an actual fix for the following issues: Portrait lens/Zoom crashes the camera app and requires phone restart in order to start working again (until the next crash) Can't save .raw files Can't change the save location of photos and videos to external storage The save location is annoying but not really a show stopper, as I can manually move the files every once in a while, and the lack of .raw format is a little frustrating, as editing .jpeg with external software requires a lot of extra work for subpar results, but none of these are as critical as the issue with the zoom lens, as it happens very frequently and reboot the phone every time is really annoying (and actually compromises the functionality of the camera). The only "fix" I found for this is actually using Google Camera app, but this requires a manual APK installation and the final result is not really ideal,

Hi all, Searched the threads and found nothing similar. So I got my Razer a couple of months ago and love it, but one issue is driving me insane (and it's probably my own fault). First day I got it I hop into my car and obviously pair it up, fire up Spotify, and get driving. Media information was being displayed on my car system but controls were acting funny. Previously my Samsung S7 had no issues. The phone is unlocked in my lap and I notice it's prompting for some permissions which the first set I grant and another set I deny because it's asking for way more than it needs to (presumably this was Spotify). Ever since I can connect and play audio fine, but I get "unknown track / unknown artist" and I can't use my car controls to skip or anything else. I've tried adjusting and enabling all Spotify permissions manually, and I've tried wiping the cache/data, completely uninstalling, and re-installing fresh. No joy. Anyone experienced similar? Or was my permissions gaff a red herring

(I can see what you did there Min) To be honest I am pretty hyped about this thing. If any of the promises they do on cooling/not interfering with Qi charge are to be true this is a pretty neat case. I also like the design. Here is what bothers me: All of the product pics/renders only show Iphones so far. It is available for the RP2 aswell, but there is not a single pic of it. How do they deal with the RP2 chroma lighting? Since they already did the bold move to cover the fruit on the iphones. Which in fact, I know, will actually keep some folks from buying this - since "One doesnt see from afar that is an iphone, and it even says razer on the case,! People might think have a RP... yak! So if anyone gets this - either apple or razer version. Pls, pls do so

Why can't Razer Phone 2 connect to hidden wifi? Is it going to be fixed soon?

Hi! Has anyone found a good way to clean the speakers? This phone has amazing sound but the design the speakers have causes a lot of dirt to get jammed in the small holes.... I have shot air a couple of times but it does not clean to my liking and i am always afraid of breaking something internally by doiing this... Has someone found a good and simpler way to do this?

So I got a new(ish) car, 2015 KIA Optima Sx Turbo. I can't get the audio when I make calls to come from the car speakers it switched to regular mode and when I select bluetooth it hangs in limbo then goes back to regular, but I can hear audio when playing Spotify. I have cleared the cache from Bluetooth in the apps. If someone can point me to the right direction that would be great. I'm running Pie 9, February 5th 2019 update. Hello. I have a small question. Does Razer Phone support Dual SIM or was it an idea that has been canceled or to prevent SD Card to wobble? Im asking because when i was inserting sim and sd card to the phone i noticed second slot or pins for another SIM card. Than i searched for Razer Phone motherboard and it is there too. It is maybe a silly question but i ask anyway.

Is it coming? Any rumours on specs? Or just get the Razer phone 2..

Anyone have any issues with connecting their Razer Phone 2 with a Volkswagen car stereo via bluetooth? Specifically, a 2016 Sportwagen S with standard issue stereo system and bluetooth module. I keep getting an intermittent connection and an error window on the phone. Other phones / devices (Sony phone, Samsung tablet) are able to connect. My Razer Phone 2 is current on the updates with Android Pie. Also, my Razer phone is able to connect to my soundbar and laptops (work and home) via bluetooth with no apparent issues.

There's a bunch of horizontal lines going vertically down the center of the screen. It's more noticeable in plain black OR white background but it shows up during normal use here and there. In the video, I'm looking at black PNG and you can see it clearly. Anyone else experiencing this problem? If you have, what did you do to fix this? This is my 2nd replacement Razer Phone 2 and I have not had a permanent phone in 2 months. I've already run out of patience with this phone's low quality. Low Quality? Replaced by Microsoft. 2nd Razer Phone 1 - So far still alive. 1st Razer Phone 2 - Fingerprint scanner, speakers, and antenna stopped at 2 months. 2nd Razer Phone 2 - Replacement with screen problems. 3rd Razer Phone 2 - Replacement with screen problems (received 2 days ago). 4th Razer Phone 2 - Current, so far so good as of 2019-10-25. I'm on my 5th phone and 4 are busts. This is just ridiculous

Hi, I noticed a weird behavior on my Razer Phone 1 after Android Pie update. I noticed some apps change to dark mode sometimes. When it happens, whatever app using system default theme are dark (e.g., Play Store, Phone, etc.). However, randomly and all of sudden, the theme switched to light for all apps, back and forth. In another word, the system setting of theme just randomly changes, and I did nothing that may change the setting afaik. In fact, the theme setting is not even available on my phone and I don't know if it's by design. Screenshot of my setting attached, which miss the theme setting Any idea? It's super annoying. I recently changed time zones so I was interested in knowing at what time does the Cortex mobile Paid to Play and Daily login streak system reset itself. It was 8 am local time back home but in Germany where im currently at it has a weird time which im not able to judge correctly. Maybe it can be added as a feature as well since Cortex on PC has the time left before a daily reset for Paid to Play.

I bought razer phone 2 last week. The drains so quickly that it reduces 20% when i watch a 20 minutes youtube video. I have tried many ways by reducing the refresh rate and resolution size. Is it because of a bug? Please help me to figure it out what the problem

As well as the previously mentioned camera app being forced closed I am also getting other apps force closing with do not disturb on. For instance on Google if you go on a webpage or get a search result with an embedded video and have do not disturb on it instantly closes. Anyone else having issues with this?

It's not 10/Q as the title says. Though, at least it's a significant security update. Hopefully the other updates work as mentioned, too. I have an unlocked model running on T-Mobile, btw.
