So I realized that there is another sound coding option that will make sound quality a bit better. It's in the developer option. I changed the sound code to Qualcomm adaptX HD or something. But after I exit the setting and open it back, it changed back to default settings! I don't know if this is a bug or something might happens while I change it. Does anyone know a proper way to fix it? I'm using Razer Phone 1 Android 8.1.

I just received a brand new SanDisk Ultra 128gb class 10 microSDXC UHS-1 card A1. I powered off my Razer Phone 2, inserted the card, powered the phone on, was ask to choose a formatting option of phone storage or portable storage, I chose phone storage, the formatting process started, and when it finished it said my SD card was corrupt. I tried to format the card 3 times with no success. And I did wash my hands before inserting the card and made sure to hold the card by the edges. I ordered the card on eBay from a seller that had a great rating. Is my new micro SD card really corrupt? Is this card supported by Razer Phone 2? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello, I bought Razer Phone last week and i noticed when im in middle volume i hear crackling noises from the right, top speaker next to the front camera. The bottom one is fine but the top one seems to have issues. is it hardware problem or just a bug? Also stereo left/right sound is swapped when i play the demo in Dolby. It can't be changed when rotating the phone. Any possible solution or help? Thanks.

I might be missing something. When I swipe up from the bottom of the display, it doesn't bring up my apps. I haven't changed any settings. This is new out of the box (i.e. it's not like it was working then suddenly stopped). I have a ton of Android phones and several with Pie on them... so I'm familiar with how it normally works. If I go into Gesture settings and turn off "Swipe up on home screen button", I can go back to the pre-Pie navigation (with the previous screen arrow on the left... the home button in the middle, and the app switcher on the right). I can't get to the app drawer by swiping at all if I enable the new gestures. I tried this on my Pixel... and I can swipe up from the bottom with either selection... one just enables the new gestures while one uses the old. Can anyone help me with this?

Just ordered an RP2 and got kernel source archive for it. I'm really glad to see that WiFi driver is published together with the kernel - not all vendors does that. However, it seems that the $(ANDROID_ROOT)/vendor/opensource/audio-kernel part is missing, while it's an essential part of sdm845 drivers and licensed under GPLv2 as well. Audio will be completely missing from the phone without this driver, which renders the open-source archive incomplete. Razer has done an excellent job providing main kernel source and even WiFi module source, could you please include this audio part in next open-source release? Thanks!

Worst company ever experienced 3 times RMA my razer phone 1 device but still keeping sending back refurbished not working units back. I bought device 1 may 2018 until today still with faulty phone. This phone cause injury to my health hearing problems because of defective sound. Their rma process only in germany turn around few weeks minimum, asked for another options they said nothing left.

So, with Pie finally arriving on the Razer Phone 2 (for unlocked models, at least), I figured I'd share a couple of tips that may be of use to others as they were to me! Disable gesture controls: Personally, I'm not a fan of the gesture controls. I've tried them, and don't care for it. I must prefer the "classic" three-button layout on the navigation bar. However, there is an option to return to this! 1. Go into the system settings 2. Go to "System" 3. Go to "Gestures" 4. Go to "Swipe up on Home button" 5. Disable it This will bring back the three-button layout (Back, Home, Overview) and disable the gesture controls on the Home button. Vertical scrolling Overview: Who knows why, but with Pie, Google changed the Overview to an iPhone-like horizontal scroll. I also feel this made multi-window less intuitive (even with the three-button layout, you can't do a long-press on the Overview button to enable multi-window). Now I cant understand why Razer - with all the claims on both their phones as gaming ones, have not released a controller which doubles up as a case and charger for either of their mobile phones??? Remember the Razer Edge Pro (gaming tablet which i still own) (picture attached) had the controller accessory where the tablet slots in to it - well all we need is the same thing as this but for our mobile!! This would mean i can use it whenever i feel the need to play android games, or stream games to it from my pc using moonlight with no bluetooth lag!!!!! The Raiju Mobile is just a copy of what loads of other companies have already made and i already own the first one they brought out - you have to awkwardly slot the phone into the bracket and this is quite cumbersome and not portable. Thoughts anyone? Razer?

Any opinions on the razer phone? I might get one soon, but I just wanted to confirm it was worth getting.

Any ideas on cleaning out the speakers? It's a nightmare with all the small holes they get filled with dust and grime so quick.

Many moons ago it was claimed that 60fps video recording was going to come to the Razer Phone with an update (https://www.facebook.com/minliangtan/posts/1595502560507520?__tn__=-R) . Which hasn't happened. The Razer Phone 2 has now been released, and the video is still 30fps. I know there's a modified Google Camera app, https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/, but you'll find that if you use it to record 60fps (when you find the option) and check out the resulting video file created, it's actually still 30fps. This almost seems like a hardware limitation, or it's not made accessible via software. The RP1 is allegedly hardware limited to 30fps (https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone/comments/9u70im/can_the_rp2_not_do_1080p_60fps_video/e92qi42/) so it would take some software interpolation to increase the framerate, but the RP2 should be capable. Has anyone tried chasing this down by opening a case with Razer Support to get an answer?

Hello, with this thread I want to make an approach to compare and show your photographs taken with the Razer Phone 2. I want to buy myself a RP2 but every Review I watch or every comparison shows that the camera really isnt great. All of these Reviews are from october 2018 and I thought that there were Software Updates for the camera app and maybe its quality has improved. However, I would ask you to post some images taken with the RP2. Also if you would share your experiences with the RP2's camera that would be great. Thanks and GG

I just got my RP 2 two days ago. I've been spending a ton of time getting all my accounts set up since I switched from an iPhone 7. This morning was my first morning listing to my regular podcast on the way to work and I noticed that I have no lock screen controls. I literally spent hours after getting home from work trying to figure out how to get simple music controls on my lock screen. Am I missing something, is this an android 8.1 issue or did Razer drop the ball that bad on one of the most basic functions that every other phone seemed to have.

Been trying to find a solution for this all day long. H+ caps out on ATT network at 3mb/s This is unacceptable (mad at ATT, not my phone) Anybody come across any fixes for the ATT network? Buying the phone from them is not a option, this one was purchased unlocked.

SHad a problem with the screen whenever i played Pubg mobile. The moving button. It's very frustrating cos it happens many times in one match. And i don't know what to do. I've recorded a very short video of it. Please help. And sometimes when i set the game graphic to HD or Balanced with frame rate Ultra or Extreme it will lag/glitching.

Hey, I have the Razer phone and my apps from Google play save directly to the SD card, How do i change this back to saving on the internal memory? Sorry it may seem like a minor issue but it slows down the apps when used on the sd card and I have alot more crashes in apps too. Paul

Hi fellow razer fans, I'm preparing for a project and I need to showcase the use of high capacity/high performance microSD cards. That said I'm looking for different angles to showcase the advantages of these and of course one of these angles is the future of quality videos/photos/music on devices like smartphones/drones/cameras that use microSD cards. In my long list of ideas, I was thinking of 8K videos, but I'm wondering if smartphones like the Razer Phone 2 is able to read them. I'm not yet a Razer Phone owner so I can't test it myself. Would a nice owner be able to test it for me or comment on my possibilities with the phone? Watching videos like those: for example, or even a downloaded version. Thanks to whoever can help!

Hey all, Had the phone running with Pokemon Go on my desk today (plugged in to wall charger) and noticed the screen was black. Thought it had gone to standby mode, but now it won't turn on at all. Phone was warm (not quite "hot" but warmer than it should be). Anyone experience this before? What can I do?
