It looks nice and all, but 2 things worries me:
- No G-Sync
- No VESA mount
Kenserky
700 USD as many reveiwers said.
This is a little bit to much i think for a monitor like this

I will to have that monitor. :)
my dream
Even though it isn't G-Sync, with the news from Nvidia, some good quality screens can be compatible with this tech while not labeled as such.

But $700 though, without G-Sync oooooooof.
That's a rip I agree
Look great!
Disappointing, I will stick with my S2716DG 27 which is very similar spec, but includes G-Sync. If they had made a 32-35" inc G-sync for around £800-1k would of gone with the upgrade.
Yes. Just yes. :smile_:
I had an apple thunderbolt display that was same size and rez and upgraded in 2016 to multiple 4k monitors... I could never go back to blocky pixel land! So, this is not the product for me but it does look nice.
And Raptor? Why not pick some animal known for display or color like "conure" "peacock" or "chameleon", something like that?
Oooh, I get it! It's named after a dinosaur because of the ancient resolution that was available from other manufacturers 15+ years ago! Seriously, Apple has offered this format since 2004.

I still feel Razer is arriving with a product that is not anymore what gamers want on their desk this coming year.
Entering the market and not going Ultra-wide for a monitor lunched in 2019 feel to me a bit like shooting your own foot before running a Marathon...
That will leave room for the major brands to propose same gaming experience and refresh rate at a fraction of the price

it should also be available for 20 gazillion razer silver, for the quantum computer gamers who mine silver like the flash
The cable management system looks great~~~
I’ve got a lot to say about this product since I am very much in the market for pretty much this exact kind of monitor and have been thinking about getting an Asus MG279q or a similar model (but given this being announced I am reconsidering these Asus panels). For starters I’m going to put the claim to rest that no Gsync means this monitor is dead in the water because that’s not true, plain and simple: freesync is the better standard and I am glad that Razer chose to support it (it isn’t proprietary and also doesn’t force Razer to unnecessarily raise the price for us consumers while still supporting variable refresh rate). To continue, this monitor is sick; the color gamut, very slim bezels and great cable management means that this is going to be a very useful and downright beautiful daily driver for practically everyone that buys one. Moving on to the panel specs, HDR and frame rates- they’re fine: 144hz is a great experience and the user base will undoubtedly love it and HDR support -although not fully fledged- will be a definite bonus. Lastly, it’s Razer we’re talking about here: some of the best customer service in the business, and who can forget the Chroma lighting as well as their signature brushed aluminum finish which is practically a trademark of theirs by now.
Now to move on to some of the gripes I have with the keynote so far, for starters, I’d love for it to be higher refresh rate. If it is overclockable up to 165hz, this is pretty much an instant purchase from me -even if Razer chooses to sell 165hz models at a higher price I’d still do it because that’s really the target I’m looking to hit: 2K 165. Next, it’d be an easier pill to swallow if it supported HDR10, VESA mounting -for those of us that want a truly bezelless experience with multiple seamlessly connected monitors,- and/or HDMI 2.1 (with an on-board memory chip for a firmware update whenever the spec for it becomes fully fleshed out) because with such said functionality it would be a dead simple no-brainer for those looking for a 2K monitor with the most functionality. Hell I’d even pay $900 for it with those specs since it would straightforwardly just be better than the competition -which is pretty stalwartly Asus at the minute.
TL;DR- this monitor is sick but if Razer wants to meet the market they’re selling it to (enthusiast users with a mighty need for high refresh rate 2K monitors) then it will likely need a bit more functionality since it is a bit lacking at the minute -especially for the hefty price tag on it.
Also high refresh rate IPS FTW

The panel spec is good (not great) and the stand looks nice along with the Chroma but that is not enough to sway me away from G-Sync. PC builds IMO have to be a blend of form and function and I lean just slightly more towards function when it comes to my display. The sad part is that the end user experience for Freesync and G-Sync is the pretty much the same but AMD just cannot build a flagship GPU to compete with Nvidia. Now with Intel poaching talent from them I doubt AMD will be putting out anything significant in the next few years GPU wise.
