GameDog [v5.0] - Chroma for CS:GO and DOTA2

I am still having issues getting GameDog to work with Chroma.

I did the following:
1. Installed GameDog 2.4
2. Checked in the "Connect" tab that it found GameDog, which it did, and made sure it's enabled
3. Checked in Task Manager that the Chroma SDK service is running
4. Restarted the computer
5. Checked if I have the GameDog config

After all of that when I open GameDog I still get the message "Chroma SDK not available. Make sure the "Razer Chroma SDK Service" is running".

EDIT: With the BETA 5.0 version everything works fine.

I hope it will be usefull for somebody. I had a problem, when I started this app, it closed at the same moment. Idk what caused this problem but if you delete it and delete all logs about it in your PC and install it one more time. The problem will be solved

Delete all logs in the path %AppData%\\GameDog\\logs , do not forget it.If you didnt delete the logs , the solution will not work.
当5.0版本出现闪退问题时，卸载软件，然后把 %AppData%\\GameDog\\logs复制到文件管理器中访问并删除里面的所有文件,再重新安装软件即可解决。

I hope it will be usefull for somebody. I had a problem, when I started this app, it closed at the same moment. Idk what caused this problem but if you delete it and delete all logs about it in your PC and install it one more time. The problem will be solved

I don't know if you already added this, but could the lights change based on the keybinds for DOTA 2?

so far no changes when i load up DOTA 2 and start a game.

I don't know if/how to respond to trade offers in steam so I hope you read this here :)

Now to the issues that came up:

That's interesting. At first make sure if you're running Version 1.2 (I assume you are...just to make sure). Can you check if the Razer SDK Service is running? Right now the only way I have seen this message to appear (without the "Please enable in Synapse" message) is when this Service isn't running. If that isn't the issue please go to %AppData%\GameDog\logs and send me the "GameDog.txt" via a pastebin as a Conversation here in this Forum and I'll try to find out what the issue is.


I'm not sure if LoL does have an API like that. The implementation itself is made by Valve so I doubt LoL is like that but they might have another way. I will try to find something about that once I'm done with Dota :)


I can only give you the same tip as I gave to @Hades_Hitman. Make sure the Service is running and if that's not the problem please send me the Logfile via Conversations here and I'll check what the problem is :)

Next Version will have an Auto-Updater integrated.

I think I'll make it disabled as default but if you'd like to never care about updating you can easily enable it and it will check for new versions on every start 🙂 Also I finally got a nice base to implement Dota2 and I'm pretty sure next Version will have more Dota2 features available like Cooldown-Timer and much more!

Всем привет, старые версии не работают, а новая (5.0) запустилась лишь один раз. даже успел поиграть с ней. Играл в доту и настройки клавитатуры мне очень понравились, однако после она вообще не запускается. Очень жду исправление версии. Огромное спасибо разработчикам за Gamedog, только прошу почините его).

The GameDog just insta shutdown when i try to start it. This is the log. First time gamedog works, but when then i restarted my pc and this error appears in all logs.

With a recent update to Dota2 Valve disabled the game state integration per default that GameDog uses to fetch data about the current game. This was done for performance reasons as some users seemed to have performance issues. This can happen when an app adds a gameintegration but doesn't remove it when closed so dota tries to send data to that app which isn't responding.

That can be reenabled by adding "-gamestateintegration" to the launch settings.


Tried this one. But not working for dota2 still. Working for CS:GO tough

after WEEKS of trying everything to get razer OR logitech Keyb. and mous, from one to the next day Gamedog5 is already again installable AND finds the Dota Path... WTH WTF whatever ....

I edit this post later for the log file, while gamedog starts to open while the black picture with the dog is shown, the SYNAPSE changes short the status that Chroma is now under control of Third Part Program. When normal the Dota Settings btw. the program settings should be shown gamedog just gets closed..

hope you understand the sense, sometimes my English isn't good as it could be

With GameDog 5 can you please go to %AppData%\\GameDog\\logs and let me know if there is any error in the logfile when you try to open it?

Also make sure in Synapse under "Connect" the toggle with "Chroma Apps" is enabled and check if gamedog appears in the app list.

I've been using it for over a week now in Dota, no issues noted so far.

Mamba Elite works well with it. Hunstman Elite applicable?

I'm using a Huntsman Elite. So that should work fine, too. Only issue is that the kill counter is using Maco keys by default which aren't available on the huntsman elite. That can be changed in the assignment editor. The Chroma SDK sadly doesn't provide an easy way to figure out what device is connected, but I'm still looking into a way to set the correct defaults somehow.
