Yeah it just feels like they've abandoned it and forgotten that it exists. There has been no new features, the 2 strip extra pack has been out of stock for god knows how many months and the chroma workshop is practically dead. NZXT just announced the Hue 2 packs which look way better and I'm probably switching from HDK to it.

Also did they forget this?

when this? :-S

I think it may be pushed back now, as we are near the end of this year / near the end of Q4. Don't quote me on it, but I thought I saw @RazerThe_Fiend post somewhere that it may be Q1 2019 now, but I can't seem to find that post.
Hello all,

I just got my HDK a few days ago and this one is not detected by Synapse.... Have you ever had this problem?

The HDK is well powered and does its default light cycle
Question. If I want this on my desk (curve shaped) AND in my PC, how would I do that and how much would it cost?
how many total strips can the kit support? 4 per channel or 4 total (2 per channel)?
Dear Razer Chroma Team,
I'd like to suggest you this scope of addons and updates:
1. HDK - User must have option to connect RGB Led strips like ws2811 ws2812b and others.
2. User must have option to connect Arduino to Synapse 3 for Chrome sync and others things....
3. Option to auto change brightness of chroma by time schedule

You're making good product, but you want to earn money from everything. Hey Guys, we are fans, and if you wanna to be #1 in the world you must make some free features for users!
I bought 1 week ago Razer HDK, and you know, this products real cost is 20$ not more, I can do all that things on arduino or esp8266 in 10 minutes.

I'm ready to buy HDK if it will be real Hardware DEVELOPMENT KIT - DEVELOPMENT!!!!

I totally agree ! I already got 40k right now after getting the mug and that would be so awesome 😲

I missed MY mug! I'm a little over 50k right and thought I might have had a chance! >.<
I even created a thread with table values to help me try to decide on what to get now since I don't know now!
Hoping they'd have an option for a SATA power connector and magnetic strips.

your toaster

its coming boiz, prepare your wallet.
that's really crazy man
I'd really like to get this so I can replace my philips hue led stripes on my desk, however I'm not sure if the lenght will be enough, right now I use 3m for the whole back of my table (it is rather large)
Also, can it be used by a non developer, I rather see myself as a simple customer 😃

There are four channels, two on each side of the hub.

It should be no problem, it's designed for "simple customer" end users, although it uses Synapse 3 which I believe is still in beta.

Now we just need this available as a zSilver reward........

Yeah, which will now take even longer to get, since the Paid2Play program only offers 5 games per month now.

I think it's a genius move by Razer, though: I've seen a lot of people asking for a Chroma-enabled desk, and this enables that WITHOUT having to produce an actual desk.

I haven't come across any official info regarding that, sorry. I have confirmed that you can connect at least two extension cables to one strip and it will work just fine. How many extension cables are you planning in piling up?

Now they just need to crate wifi or cloud-based lighting for the whole house.
The individual strips terminate after the 16 diodes. So only one strip per plug. And no idea on extensions. I would guess a reasonable number like 2-4 extensions per strip max.

So i was thinking to change my hue lightstrip plus on my desk and move it to difrent place. I use corner desk so my main have 130cm and on left table have 100cm and overall it's 230cm + small cupboard on rightside on main table that is araoud 30cm. Entire lightstrip must have around 260cm lenth. From i find main strip have only 50cm and extension 30cm even if i give it in middle it still 130cm on one strip this is why i ask about this 🙂

The dimensions stated under Lightstrip Plus by most of the website. You can try search about them out.
0.5 x 0.1 x 39.0" / 1.2 x 0.3 x 99.1 cm
Extendable up to 32.0' / 9.8 m
Can be cut at every 12.9" / 32.8 cm

Yeah i know but still main tabletop have 130cm and connected to it cupboard with let say 30cm it give me 160cm main strip on hdk have 50cm and external have 30cm this give me half 😛 If i want to cover entire tabletop i need 80cm more from hdk and i dont know how many strip i can connect the question is not common but hdk have small strips ;/ and side table is 100cm so main strip dont cover it itself. On razer store and hdk manual is nothing about connecting strips and maximal lengh of strips ;/
FINALLY!!!! i was expecting this since the HUE+ came out. Please extend to some more hardware, collab with corsair or even NZXT to bring chroma to the masses...nobody wants 100 diferent applications for all the RGB.

Make it happen pls!!!
