Yeah, stick with 1.12 for now and by the time you get an LED strip I'll have 1.14 with a fix.

That sounds good to me. And thanks for the quick replies and help. I am loving this visualizer!
hah nice 🙂
i jealous the chroma users right now!

I really love my normal old stuff 😞 I cannot just replace them for chroma ... pls release patch 😃
To all people with the keyboard stays black problem, reinstall Synapse, after deinstalling restart your computer and then install newest Synapse and let ist update, again restart.
Mine finally works after doing this.

BTW, is there any plans to save the config in the next update?
LOVE it so far 🙂
Keep up the good work!
Would this work on other RGB keyboards, such as the Corsair Strafe RGB? I would like to know because I am tight on money and getting a cheaper board would help a lot, and this is a pretty cool program.
When will this be compatible with the Razer Blade Stealth? If it works now, how did you get it to work?

It works with whatever I have available that can be supported. I own a K70 RGB and the Chroma peripherals, thus they are supported. I do not own a Strafe nor a Blade Stealth, so they are not supported. Razer sent me most of my Chroma gear for the purposes of development, but I'm not sure they're willing to send laptops out to developers. The K70RGB and BW Chroma I purchased myself. I don't feel like spending money on even more keyboards.

If the k70 and the strafe are basiically the same, do you think that it may be supported? They are very similar.

Now you're just being silly. Similar on the outside does not equal similar on the inside. Besides, in computing similar is not enough. It will have a different USB ID and a different layout, even if only slightly, which is enough to require a software change. Besides, I know for a fact the Strafe has a new LED controller because the K70 one sucked. Razer puts out an SDK to make talking to their products pretty easy, but the K70 I reverse engineered, which is a time consuming task. On top of that, why are we even discussing Corsair products on a Razer forum? We're here to talk about Razer products. Put simply, no, the Strafe won't work and nothing will change that short of putting one in my hands to add support for as I already said I'm not buying more $200 keyboards for this project.

Are you saying this is ampossible to work, or is there a chance. The strafe is not 200$, but the k70 is, so I would like to save money, and have this amazing program. Also I do know myself just a bit on programming, and the differences between these keyboards, I dont need a review. Is there any way you could make this program work with the strafe without the keyboard, or maybe borrow it. I would like this program, I set it up on my friends blackwidow, and it was beast. I want that same effect.

Then get a BlackWidow...

There's nothing in it for me borrowing a keyboard. I added support for all the Chroma stuff mainly because Razer kindly sent them to me for free and to keep. If you want the program, then get a supported device or port it yourself. That's part of the reason I made it open source. Corsair apparently does have an SDK now but I don't want to spend time replacing my reverse engineered code that only works with K70 to use the SDK. To be honest I kind of feel burned by Corsair due to how badly the K70 and its 512 color limitation was handled. That was part of the push for me to get a Razer to begin with. Besides, that's not what we're here for. I'm not advertising you buy a competitor product on a Razer forum. If you want to continue this pointless discussion do so elsewhere.
Tnx for you work.
I'm not sure the best place to ask for troubleshooting...
I have this working for my Deathstalker, however the visualization moves from left to right. I'm wondering if there is a setting I'm missing to make it go up and down?
Hey! This doesn't seem to work on my Razer Blade Stealth. Is there a workaround for this? Or will it be releasing soon?

Plis ;_;

Not supported and won't be unless I can get my hands on one because it has a custom layout quite different from existing boards.

Please try to get your hands on one :3
Or is there a way that I could do it? But I doubt, as I've never worked on this before
I wonder if there is anyway to get the Music Visualizer synced with a Philips Hue light strip? If anyone knows if something like this is possible, please let me know! Thanks.

In 1.13 I added support for WS2812B LED strips using an Arduino. As long as the Hue has an SDK/API/protocol to send commands to it it should be doable. I don't have one though so like all the other devices it comes down to either provide me with one to support or add support yourself and submit a pull request. Supporting a simple LED strip should be simple, even simpler if it's a single color strip.

Ah okay, guess I will have to do some research.

Don't know if you are familiar with the Philips Hue line of products but with the Philips Hue, basically there is a small Hue Bridge box that connects to my home network via ethernet. This allows for any devices connected to my router (whether it be my PC, laptop, mobile phone etc) to control any lights or light strips connected to the Hue Bridge (the Hue Bridge controls Hue lights wirelessly). Here is a useful link if anyone is interested: http://www.developers.meethue.com/\\

Seems like someone has already created an Arduino library for the Hue.

Getting the Music Visualizer to communicate with the Hue bridge (which in turn controls lightstrips and lighbulbs) through a home network would be pretty simple for a programmer I imagine. Sadly my knowledge in that area isn't the greatest, haha.

BTW, where are you located Calc?
@CalcProgrammer1 Do you know why my DeathAdder Chroma will disconnects when I started the Audio Visualizer? It's working perfectly when without it.
Thanks! This looks awesome
Doesn't work on Razer Blade Stealth, any update in the works?
Super cool! Since I just got my first chroma piece I'll try this out once home
@CalcProgrammer1 I don't suppose you could link the Arduino and LED strip you used? Also, how hard would you say the Arduino was to program (for an Arduino-newbie), thanks!

Look up WS2812B strips on eBay and get one with 30 LEDs. As for the Arduino any standard 16MHz Arduino will work, including the cheap eBay clones. I'm running my strip off a cheap eBay CH340G based Nano clone. Programming is easy, in my GitHub link I have an Arduino sketch you can program using the Arduino software so you don't actually have to write any code yourself. Make sure you remember what COM port your Arduino shows up as and then add it to the command line parameters like ledstrip=COM1. You can add multiple COM ports if you have more than one Arduino strip connected. Right now it's limited to 30 LED strips only, any more and only the first 30 will work and any less and the pattern won't be symmetrical. Also all the other command line options are broken on 1.13 so I need to post a new build to fix this.
