It didn't have turn on/of fps counter's hotkey.

I have an issue with the hotkeys, auto adding ctrl+shift and having no way to just have a key is very annoying as i can't have a function fey for boosting etc

Thank you for being a tester of Razer Cortex 10 Beta. If I understand you correctly, you are having an issue with your hot key. Please click the 'SETTING' icon at the right top of Razer Cortex main UI, and go to HOTKEYS to reset your hot key as your preference.

Surf Shark VPN will not function after cortex has been used and goes back to normal PC mode after using cortex, forcing a restart of my PC to make my VPN work again.

This update is really cool. I always thought not having some sort of universal library in cortex was a missed opportunity. But it is missing some imo important features that make it less appealing then for example gog galaxy.

Thank you for being the first to take part in our beta program. I'm Michelle from the Razer Cortex PC technical support team. We are so delighted that you have provided so many details on our product.

Regarding all your feedback, here are my replies:
1st concern: enable users to edit the titles. Some are launchers and some are games. Edit the title to distinguish that.
We will consider that. Thank you for your suggestion.

2nd concern: display game time or achievement completion below each game under the game images
I have reported this suggestion to our product team. We will consider it.

3rd concern: hide certain games such as a demo, a joke game, or games that are not counted to your steam library.
Thank you for your suggestion. We will think about it.

4th concern: not adding steam apps that are not games to MY LIBRARY.
We will try to fix this technically. Before we resolve this, please remove it by clicking the cover art and going to the game detail page of Razer Cortex, and removing it in ‘Settings’>’Remove’

5th concern: some games have no image
You can click the Cover Art of the game and go to the game’s detail page. Click the ‘Settings’ icon > ‘Edit’ > ‘Media’ > ‘Cover Art to upload a cover art that you like. I attach an image as a reference. If you think it is hard to find the 'Edit', please feel free to let us know.

6th concern: I like this list on the side of my library.
Thank you for liking this. I will pass your commendation as well as suggestions/concerns to the whole Cortex PC team.

7th concern: The summary windows are awesome so far but it seems that the statistics from gog galaxy are not carried over. It would be nice to have the option to display how many achievements I earned last week and how much time I spent yesterday on a game and so on.
We will check the GOG Galaxy statistics from our side. We appreciate your participation in our Beta testing and providing us with so many valuable suggestions and feedback.

We are grateful that we have so many passionate users like you to support us. We will be continuously making all our efforts to improve and optimize our product.

tested the razer cortex beta for some days and i found that i get big FPS drop on Osu! i got 150+ avg when i was using the last cortex, and now i got 36 avg, didn't check for other games yet, I'll inform soon

Ok, I have tested this a bit more. Should I update my previous posts accordingly?
This is what I want to see changed/added:

  • Settings cannot be changed for games that are not installed. This prevents users from changing media or the "Nickname" which are however important when sorting/finding games.
  • "Nicknames" can only be 20 characters long. Some games have longer titles however, please extend the allowed characters.
  • Alphabetical sorting standard: I assume that Cortex sorts using the ASCII sorting table. This will include articles like "The" to be considered in sorting. A game called "The Elder Scrolls" will be at the T position. Please add an option that disregards articles such that in this particular example, The Elder Scrolls would be at the E position. Even better would be a "Sorting Title" and a "Display Title" (Nickname) to be added to the options. Users can then do this themselves.
  • After playing a custom game not found on a platform (Brutal Doom 64 in this case), the summary seems to break:

    Here, it just is stuck loading stats.
  • Duplicate game entries: I happen to own some games on both GOG and Steam and these appear as duplicate entries in Cortex. There is also the case of some games having two versions, e.g. Wolfenstein 2 when bought on GOG will add the title twice to the library, the German version and the English version. In GOG Galaxy, these duplicates are consolidated into one entry in the library. Please add a similar feature to Cortex.

Here could you please let us know which game you were playing? The FPS overlay would not show if the game you played used an anti-cheat program.

If the game you were playing does not have anti-cheat, could you please check here GAME BOOSTER > FPS and see whether your FPS feature is enabled?

I have updated to the latest version of Razer. But every time you do a game booster, exit the app/game right away. As a suggestion, so that Razer also has software to bypass server restrictions so there is no need to use a VPN application
