I’m having an issue too, where being on 2.4hz wireless connection functionality of the RGB is limited to the presets, despite Synapse set to, say, Fire quick effect. When plugged in, everything works as expected.

I summon Razer Support to help out here!

Razer seems to have abandoned this thread entirely if they were ever here to begin with, but fortunately I'm stubborn and I managed to find a solution to my issue by simply getting mad at Synapse for a couple of hours and refusing to leave it alone until my week old keyboard started to behave.

I've seen a few issues mentioned here, but my primary issue was with pairing my Viper V3 Hyperspeed to my Deathstalker. My issue seems like it was a bit more specific than what others mention, but I could pair my Deathstalker to either of my two Hyperspeed mice, but my Deathstalker always gave me the “Ensure your device isn't paired to another device" message and wouldn't allow me to enter pairing mode.

Alright cool, I'll connect my keyboard to my mouse then - Problem solved right? Kind of if you don't mind the RGB working with Synapse on your brand new keyboard because it gets locked in Spectrum Cycling immediately after pairing to either of my mice. Like the poster above, I could use the on-board effects, but changing settings in Synapse didn't change the RGB and this was an issue on 2 different PCs. If I unpaired the Viper and Deathstalker the RGB functionality came back on 2.4 wireless, but this issue occurred every time I paired them together.

This pairing problem has been a known issue for a product released in 2022 and if you try to research this you effectively get as far as this thread with no fix provided from Razer I've found, but I'll post what I’ve found through all the troubleshooting I did myself since Razer Support really doesn't seem to care 😎👍

TLDR: Make sure you use Synapse 3 instead of the “New Synapse Beta" - Genuinely spent an entire morning pissing around with this before I tried just installing non-beta software, immediately resolved the issue.

Switching back to Synapse 3 allowed my mice to pair to my Deathstalker like I wanted, and RGB now works properly regardless if it's plugged in or using 2.4 wireless. Frustrated that I didn't try this as one of the first few things I did because it's a fix that literally takes about 3-4 minutes total if you just knew what to do, but of course I over thought the hell out of it beforehand 🙃

Not convinced this is a fix for anyone else here because I always feel alone on betas, but I downloaded it out of curiosity because it was smaller and supposedly runs better. Ran significantly worse for me considering it prevented me from using the Hyperspeed the way I wanted for the keyboard I paid for but the redesign looks cool I guess.

Never change Razer.

Razer really doesn't seem to care but I figured this out on my own by just hyper-fixating on it for a morning.

My issue was a bit more specific - Deathstalker could pair to any Hyperspeed mouse, but the Deathstalker couldn't have a Hyperspeed device connected to it. If connected to my Viper V3 Hyperspeed, only on-board RGB worked and Synapse didn't change the RGB.

TLDR: I was using the “New Synapse Beta", and uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse 3 completely resolved this issue for me. If you were curious like I was about the new software, revert back like I did and hopefully you have some luck.

Lots of issues on my DeathStalker v2 pro.

I have the

Keyboard: DeathStalker v2 pro

Mouse: Deathadder v3 pro

Headset: BlackShark v2 pro wireless

All new. Not more than 1 week old.

I had read the same somewhere that if there are 2 devices connected, it gives an issue.

so as per this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uoqS_7RQTI

I did the same. all my firmware are upto date. No issues with mouse or headphones.

keyboard is connected to the mouse dongle and is using a single dongle to connect via Hyperspeed.

Although improved,

  • I still keep getting isssues with random unresponsiveness on key press for a few seconds
  • random reconnections. and kind of renders the keyboard unusable. keyboard Flashes white before this happenes
  • Very rarely one keypress equates to multiple keypresses and results ion multiple characters on screen.
  • Continuous keypress doent work at time. especially ingame. e.g. pressing ‘w’ for movement doen’t result in continuous movement

Really surprised that such a expensive keyboard has such issues!!

If you have found any solution, please do let me know.

Came here to see if there was an actuall fix.

This right here did the trick with that video.  Mind you I had to use the open pairing utility on the mouse to get it to work, lol, which I never knew I could do.  2 pcs, with 10 Razer products attached, and just learning this now.
However, this is the first time I have had an issue with any of my Razer products, but first time with this keyboard.  I am going to look into it more to decide if I want a replacement or not, and see how this pairing works in the next few weeks.  However, for now, synapse now sees it when wireless, and is lit up right.

Thank you for this post.

My fix was apparently not having my keyboard USB plugged directly into my computer’s case USB, and not directly into the motherboard… So far, no more issues at all. All of my other USBs are plugged into the motherboard and don’t have any issues with any of them so it shouldn’t be the MB's input?
