Barracuda X USB-C Dongle suddenly not working


Hi there,

 

so today I wanted to use my Barracuda X Headset with my laptop via the USB-C Dongle. Before plugging it into the USB-C port the dongle worked fine on my other PC and my Samsung phone. After plugging it into my laptop it neither worked on said laptop and after checking it with my phone it also did not want to connect as usual. On my PC the dongle still works fine for now. I updated the driver on my laptop just in case but it simply does not want to work. When I use the USB-3 to USB-C adapter it works fine, but somehow the dongle won’t get recognized by my laptop and, as stated, suddenly not on my phone anymore.

Any suggestions on why this might be? I can somehow make do with the adapter but why did the dongle suddenly stop working with my phone as well.

I have the same problem. Does any one know the sollution? 

It works fine with the cable, but it doesn't find the headphone on the Switch and my phone. 

i juste have the same and before it worked on the usb c on my pc

My partner just started having this issue. She’s been using her Razer Barracuda X for around 7 months and suddenly the dongle won’t work with her laptop’s USB-C port. The port itself works fine but she connected it to a USB-C to USB adaptor and it works fine. Hope there’s a fix to this! 

I think we need all to contact razer, i have a bug with my mouse too who haven’t 1 years

I am also facing the same, it has been working fine from past 1 year. No it just does not connect.

Can Razer support team reply on this thread. Seems like multiple people are facing the same issue.

İ have the same issue man, did you guys fix it somehow? İts a software issue, i am oretty solid about that

seeing that this brand is ignoring this problem for FOUR MONTHS is unacceptable….looks and brand image is nice but the product quality and customer support is trash if you ask me. No one is there for us man. I bought this product in Turkey, they dont even have a distributor here. I dont think this is an American company, even though they are giving that image, what we are dealing with Asians oversea.

Hi all, anybody found a fix yet? My issue is similar. Bought this headset perhaps a year and a half ago. Was playing games and everything was fine up until today, where I set my headphones down to go use the toilet. Came back and the Bluetooth connection was disconnected. Could not get it to reconnect no matter what I did.

Maybe it has reached the end of it’s life, I am not too sure. 

I have the same problem on my phone (samsung a12 ) and it worked yesterday and its only with my mobile. At my friend's phone it works idk why . Is there an solution for this 

Same thing.  Works fine for a few days and then all of a sudden, no matter how i plug in the usb c dongle, the PC just won’t recognize it.  The barracuda doesn’t show under sound devices.

Try using the adapter from usb to usb c .it worked for me 

Tried everything I can think of, with number google pages just from a search “razer barracuda x dongle issues not appearing”  you can see that there are tons of people with the same issue.  I’ve exhausted everything.. really frustrating, this was a brand new headset after the first power button stopped working.

i have the same issue, tried everything nothing works i even tried placing it on my phone to see if it will worked as i it did before but no luck. anyone have got any luck with this issue?
