Hello

I recently bought the blackshark v2  headphones and I noticed that the left and right side are inverted which means i the sounds I'm supposed to hear on my right comes from my left and the same goes for other side and front and rear sides are inverted too

I really hope you can help me.

I am aware of a thread with similar issues and that you already sent some usefull links, but those links are outdated and no longer work (do to being related to an older synapse software version)

I have the same issue on mine, I recently upgraded to a new PC and have been having issues trying to get the sound to work correctly.  If you go into Windows Sound Properties and adjust right and left volume, the correct side is adjusted.  Reduce left volume, left headset volume goes down, same for right side.  When it’s not working correctly is in games.  I was playing Conan Exiles a friend on horseback riding to my left.  The sound is coming out of the right side.

If you go into Razer Synapse and pull up USB SOUND CARD and go into calibration, rights sound comes out of the left.  That being the case, you can’t blame it on Conan Exiles since Razer’s own “Spatial Audio Calibration” does it incorrectly.  On the positional audio top  (north) comes out of both speakers, NE button comes out of left (should be right),  East button comes out of left channel (should be right), SE button comes out of Right speaker which is actually correct.   Same with the SW button it comes out of left channel (correct).  West button (9:00) comes out of the right ear which is incorrect.  NW button comes out of the right channel which is incorrect.

The result is in games such as COD if you hear footsteps to your right, they’re really on your left.  I thought I read somewhere there was a firmware update to correct this.  Still researching and will update this if I find something.

I was having other sound issues where the Razer Synapse 3.0 & 4.0 equalizer wouldn’t work.  Changes made wouldn’t affect the sound.  That turns out to be an issue with how I had my windows system/sound/properties set up.  Under Audio enhancements you need to have “Device Default Effects” enabled for the “THX Spatial Audio (BlackShark V2)”  to show up.

Other than that, I love the headphones.

Did some research and it’s a known bug with Synapse 4.0.  Uninstall 4.0 and go to 3.0.  I just did that and it’s fine now.

Razer Barracuda here.
Left earcup suddenly lost all sound.

Razer somehow makes such good hardware, and the worst software humanly imaginably possible.
This is just infuriating.

I updated the firmware on the usb card and for some reason that made my left and right reversed. When I unplugged my headset from the usb card and plugged it directly into audio jack on the computer it worked perfect. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling synapse 4 to no avail.

What worked for me was installing the Razer 7.1 Surround Sound app. I don’t have a license and couldn’t even activate it. But for whatever reason just installing it resolved the issue. You don’t even need it to be running. Just install it, exit it and then make sure it doesn’t run on start up.

Hope this helps somebody.

You can check under your sound settings if you have the Windows Spatial Sound and turn it off. Otherwise, you can uninstall all Razer-related files from your PC using the Razer Driver Clean-up tool. Once done, restart your PC, reinstall the Razer Synapse including its updates, and check your audio balance afterward.
