Here is proof they allowed me to do it.

thanks a lot man, are you sure this dosnt happen on elite? have you received your keyboard? did you have to send the faulty one back?

Adding myself to the list of Huntsman TE owners with problems with unresponsive taskbar after logon. In my case it's a z490 + i7 10700k system so it's not only a problem with amd chipsets. It only happens on a cold boot as far as I know on my computer and not even at a 100% rate so it's an annoyance at worst but it's unacceptable to find this bug in a line of peripherals unsolved and somewhat ignored by Razer after months of user complaints.

when you reached out to them what did they say?

how did you convince them to replace it with elite, i am trying to get my huntsman TE fixed and they wont allow me to replace it with anything else even though i am happy to pay the difference.

how is there no class action lawsuit against razer for continuing to sell faulty products and not caring to fix them with a firmware or anything.

I screamed at their customer support people on the phone, and threatened to dispute them. They wouldn't offer anything but the elite.

I was allowed to replace my huntsman mini for a huntsman elite. The bug doesn't happen on the Huntsman Elite. However it is still a bad keybord. Atleat the bug doesn't happen.

This seems to mostly just effect their newer "gen 3" product line. The Elite was released back in 2018, so maybe that still used hardware and firmware based on their v2 products (which seem to work fine still - couldn't reproduce the issue on my BlackWidow Chroma TE v2, for example). Huntsman TE and Mini are 2019/2020 products.

Even when I was on my Intel 8700 processor, the Huntsman TE would occasionally bug out at the Windows login screen and repeatedly make the USB connect/disconnect sound. I never thought much of it because I didn't have any issues otherwise. Now that's obviously magnified with a 9900KF processor and hangs the login entirely. Seems to be some kind of issue with the way these newer keyboards interface with a USB connection. Some have said disabling various HID Compliant devices in device manager resolves it, but I haven't had any luck with that.

Bogo, if you ever read this. You are the biggest Treasure your Company has a hold on!
Well, their suppot is something on its own.

Many parts of my Message where not acted upon or got skipped, copy paste will do the work. My parcel with the replacement got sent to a wrong adress even i did not give informations where to ship.

Guys, please go on and buy something from another brand. Even a Logitech K120 will do it better than most of the Razer stuff. I am clearly disappointed in how they communicate, replace and overall treat the customer.

A Ducky One 2 SF will now be my future KB in this form factor. Besides that i got disappointed in Razer 15 years ago and they did their best to not surprise me after 15 years. Also do yourself a favor and DO NOT BELIEVE what influencer, tests and other guides tell you about the Huntsman Mini. i feel like i got lied to in so many different places thats unreal..
did anyone of you guys sell your keyboard and get something else? i dont think this is going to be fixed. i have tried all updates and bios fixes for my motherboard as well. and right now just looking at replacing this keyboard with something that works.
ayeee, i love the razer support.

they want me to peel of the label with the serial number and cut it along with the cable

after that i get the approval to accelerate the case to get a working unit.
and even then, maybe i have to send it back..

and in the meantime? no keyboard at all... that process is not well thought through
When will razer fix the huntsman TE
Bump this, until its done
Oh after I did a windows update, one of the bugs went away. But the slow startup after logging in is still there.
Also I really want to buy a razer viper, but I am scared that this bug will happen again. Does anyone have the viper mouse and also get this same issue?
Lets just hope that this problem will be escalated further so we all can enjoy a working Firmware!

i maybe said it wrong. its mainly after entering the password that it took way longer! (up to a minute)
but then often the explorer also crashed so the amount of time sitting there not able to do anything is annoying :/
i got used to it but it was annoying. that went away with the FW upgrade on 1.12 but still problems with the keypresses

For me ever since I plugged in the keyboard the part before the sign in took for ever. 3 months of not using it later, the problem fixed. Then I plugged it back in and it happens again, even when it isn't plugged in. After 3 months the bug will be gone again, but only happens when I plug in a razer device.

Does it take more time to boot from the power on button on to PC to the login screen? Razer Blade 14 now uses AMD so they will now have problems on their own device, forcing them to fix the bug.

BUMP!

Same Problem here with V1.12 - before and after the FW update.

Support has no intentions of helping me - only if i send a Video on one of the biggest problem topics of this product in general.

owning a Ryzen5600x and a B550 Strix-A MoBo by Asus.

The firmware fixed AT LEAST that my windows is not crashing anymore or taking ridonkulous amounts of time for it to boot. o_O

but yet still keys seem to "stuck" - not mechanically. and i have the problem of it "loosing" inputs.

i started to count the number of problems i have only while typing small amounts of text like these.

0 stucked key
6 lost inputs

Guys need some feedback. Does anyone, during playing, expirience rare random key stuck? Im trying to reproduce it but its very rare, character moving in 1 direction, like Im pressing W key, pressing another button fix this.

I have the exact same problem. I have found that this problem occurs more often when you have a custom layout assigned to a specific game. Did you find a solution for this?
they have offered to replace mine but i am quite sure the new one wont work either, has anyone gotten their keyboards replaced and it worked after that?
Razer really screwed up this time. They wont fix the issue. How hard is it to fix the TE. Release the same firmware of the huntsman mini for the Huntsman TE.

Thread has been open since Nov 2020 and no solution for TE.

I regret buying this keyboard. I am not buying anything from Razer again.

Same. I bought the mini keyboard and they purposely wasted my refund period. They later replaced my huntsman mini with the elite, which is 10 times worse and then they fixed this dumb bug. I regret going with razer. Every time I think that I am finally getting closer to my dream setup, something messes it up. I am considering wanting to make my own computer peripheral company. If Razer is the world's largest gaming brand, it must be really easy to beat their company. Like even a $5 Microsoft keyboard is better than the Huntsman and Blackwidow, since it doesn't break your computer. Ever since I plugged in the razer keyboard, my PC takes forever to start up, even when I unplug it. Also Razer Bug Hunter Program is a joke. I helped razer so much in trying to fix the bugs, and when I asked them for the reward for the bug hunting program, they immediately closed the case. I hate razer. They even run a bitcoin mining scam. How is this company even legal? If anyone sues them for these actions, it will be the company's last day in the US.
