Hi I am using the Razer Huntsman TE and having the same issue on every windows restart and only solution is unplugging and plugging back into the keyboard after restart, using an i7-9700k and windows 10

Good morning,i had the same issue a few months ago and it "broke"my pc ones.After format it what i did in order to keep using the keyboard(because i really like it)is ,first at all with the software still installed i programmed the keys i wanted.The keyboard will make the pc slow but is just in order to do that step.After that i deleted the software ,plug my old keyboard and then you navigate to deviced and i blocked the drivers.Then just restart the pc with the razer keyboard and you wont have any problem anymore.
You will only be able to have the "breathing effect " BUT ,you can use the keyboard as normal + you will still have the key programmed 😉.I know because i programmed also as "enter" they key just above the default "enter" and i still have the "2 enters"even without any trace of software or drivers.
I did this 2 or 3 months ago so i didnt remember exactly what i did but if there is anyone interested i will try to find the "youtube comment"which helped me doing this.

By the way i have AMD micro

Hey ChillyRide. Sorry that this has been an ongoing issue. The Razer Viper 8K's concerns have been escalated to our devs and it is still under investigation. However, the Razer Huntsman Mini's key registration concern is something else. I've notified the team since the firmware that was last released is intended to resolve the freezing/lagging while connecting the keyboard to an AMD-operated computer.

This issues show testing and software development problems inside company. Razer cant realise that Intel no more the one and only hardware people buy. Amd on the horse right now. Somehow support stop sending me answers for my Viper 8k. Mouse still dragging randomly in bios and Windows. Huntsman mini still phantom press button stucks. Super strange products and support from razer dev team.
Still happening... No fixes yet? Love spending $130 on a keyboard for it not to work because I have an AMD cpu.

Extra points for not being able to use it to access a pre boot environment.

Even better when you update BIOS, and your sign in pin has to be changed but to OS loops because it can't load because of a KEYBOARD.

WTF is going on inside this keyboard?

This is happening with the blackwidow v3 too, is a fix coming? just built a new x570 system and my keyboard is doing this exact same thing when it was just fine with the old intel system.

i bought a huntsman te last year aug, facing the same problem. i have to start my pc without a keyboard plugged in, then i plugin the keyboard. otherwise my 6sec booting beast of a pc boots in 5 minutes. It happens again (lesser delay than boot delay) if i logoff and log back in again. Whats the point of having a fancy keyboard if it slows down a newly built beast of a pc. can i return this. i hate this keyboard since the day i bought it. i wish i could try keyboards before buying them.

does anyone know if this is due to the AMD motherboard USB problem? which has been fixed in the latest AGESA updates
At least let us downgrade to one of the earlier versions (as someone pointed out in this or another thread) that worked. Worked for me until it forced an update back in november. Since then it takes 30 sec to 1 min to get past the login screen, and when I'm in I have to press the Windows key to to have my task bar wake up. Sometimes it won't and I have to manually reboot my PC. Also, there are occasionally keys that should register, but don't.


Seeing as how that's not tenable I've had to switch back to my 24€ Logitech keyboard. Quite amazing how that works flawlessly (and has since 2016!) but my 150€ Huntsman Mini doesn't. In the words of Joe Biden: Come on, man.

I'm having the same issue. On first boot I usually have to sign in / out / in to be able to make the click-to-show-taskbar work. I only coincidentally found out about this thread and my Huntsman Mini being the culprit after searching for other issues I have with this keyboard (the LED of a single key not working, FN+CTRL+number not working to change the lighting, etc).
I prefer to not to have to install Synaps to get this thing to work properly.

I can confirm my issues have also disappeared with installing firmware 1.32.00 (AMD 5900x / Asus Strix x570-I).

Thanks for sharing! Does the key not registering issue happens right after the update or even before the update? Please be aware that the firmware for the Razer Huntsman Mini was designed for the lags/freezing behavior while connected to an AMD-operated computer. I'll report this back to the team.

Hey everyone! Thanks for sharing your experiences while using the keyboard. Please be aware that our team has been notified that even after the firmware update (for AMD users), the issue persisted. On the other hand, there is an Intel user that needs to be assisted. I've seen that there are Razer Huntsman TE/Huntsman Elite users who claimed that they are experiencing the issue too. One user advised that it is happening in Razer Blackwidow V3, but it is still under investigation. Please help us report it to our devs by sending the following:

a. Screenshot of System Information (Hit Windows+R to open the Run box. Type “msinfo32” into the “Open” field, and then hit Enter.)
b. Screenshot of Windows version (Hit Windows + R. Open the Run box with then type winver)
c. Screenshot of Synapse version (Click the gear/cog icon at the top right. For Synapse 3.0, click “About”).
d. Razer Synapse 3.0 logs.

Save the compressed files via Google Drive or any online drive account, then paste the link in your PM. Let's continue from there.
Ok, so my reseller send me back a Huntsman TE TKL this time. Guess what? Same sh!t happends.

Some keys not registered, multi keys when pressed. Impossible to play serious in a competition with this keyboard...
Kerune, try disabling every HID Compatible device in your device manager, keep in mind that you might disable your mouse so be careful, and you'll be able to note it after you restart. After this you have to restart to see if its working. But atm this has done the trick for me
Just purchased the Huntsman TE TKL, day 1 of owning it (yesterday) and here I am with the same issue as everyone. Seems there is no fix? Running on an intel i7-10700k + z490 mobo.

So I join the club, I got a Huntsman Mini from Razer official store in Mercadolibre (which is like a latin ebay), as soon as I plugged the Mini the taskbar froze, keys I and O don't work, randomly they start working, some days they do some they just simply don't register. Plugging this thing makes my PC go crazy, I also have an AMD CPU.

I tried all the steps Razer provided but did not work. Now the store does not want to honor the warranty and now I have a beautiful paperweight.
