Were you able to contact our Support Team? If you haven't, please send me a PM together with your device's serial number so I can help you submit a case as the team wants to get each affected user's Razer Synapse 3.0 logs and Window version. Let's continue our conversation there.

I'm having the same issue. On first boot I usually have to sign in / out / in to be able to make the click-to-show-taskbar work. I only coincidentally found out about this thread and my Huntsman Mini being the culprit after searching for other issues I have with this keyboard (the LED of a single key not working, FN+CTRL+number not working to change the lighting, etc).
I prefer to not to have to install Synaps to get this thing to work properly.

I can confirm my issues have also disappeared with installing firmware 1.32.00 (AMD 5900x / Asus Strix x570-I).
I've gotten a replacement board and it does the same thing. Hopefully we get an update soon.
i bought a huntsman te last year aug, facing the same problem. i have to start my pc without a keyboard plugged in, then i plugin the keyboard. otherwise my 6sec booting beast of a pc boots in 5 minutes. It happens again (lesser delay than boot delay) if i logoff and log back in again. Whats the point of having a fancy keyboard if it slows down a newly built beast of a pc. can i return this. i hate this keyboard since the day i bought it. i wish i could try keyboards before buying them.

Not helpful to your situation, but I read this thread title and absolutely thought you were referring to glass windows.. glad to realize that I was mistaken, lol.

Good luck - hope you get this fixed soon, sounds like a real pain in the arse. o_O
Same here just bought a Huntsmant TE, and I'm having slow boots and task bar issues..

This doesn't sound good...

I just received an update from Razer Support. They cannot fix the issue, nor can they provide the previous firmware version as supposedly it cannot be flashed back. They've offered an RMA replacement which I've agreed to. But, having read your post BradC6 - I now have serious doubts as to whether even a replacement will work. Especially if the replacement has already been factory flashed to the latest bios version, which I believe caused the issue in the first place.

If there is a problem again, I'll be asking for a straight up refund.
At least let us downgrade to one of the earlier versions (as someone pointed out in this or another thread) that worked. Worked for me until it forced an update back in november. Since then it takes 30 sec to 1 min to get past the login screen, and when I'm in I have to press the Windows key to to have my task bar wake up. Sometimes it won't and I have to manually reboot my PC. Also, there are occasionally keys that should register, but don't.

Seeing as how that's not tenable I've had to switch back to my 24€ Logitech keyboard. Quite amazing how that works flawlessly (and has since 2016!) but my 150€ Huntsman Mini doesn't. In the words of Joe Biden: Come on, man.
does anyone know if this is due to the AMD motherboard USB problem? which has been fixed in the latest AGESA updates
Further to my post above, I've tried all of the USB ports on my motherboard but the problem still persists regardless of the port I use.

Hi all,

Quick question - what systems are you running at the moment (i.e. CPU and motherboard)? Also, have you tried the keyboard on another desktop/laptop etc?

Reason I ask is because I've tried the keyboard on both a surface 3 and a Lenovo laptop with no issues whatsoever! I am completely baffled.

As soon as I plug my keyboard into my primary desktop (Ryzen 5600X and MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard), the problem occurs.

I've already tried formatting to a fresh copy of windows and it seems even before loading Razer Synapse 3, the issue is present (so it cannot be Synapse as it wasn't even installed at the time). I feel that I've ruled out the OS as well, given that I fresh installed Windows10 and the keyboard issue was apparent straight away when I booted to windows desktop.

What I am thinking, is that there may be a hardware incompatibility issue here...

I am running an AMD system so wanted to get everyone's opinion on what systems you are running. Who knows maybe a pattern exists somewhere?

Im also running Ryzen, a 3700x and a ASUS x570 prime

This is happening with the blackwidow v3 too, is a fix coming? just built a new x570 system and my keyboard is doing this exact same thing when it was just fine with the old intel system.
OK I have EXACTLY the same issue, simply unplugging the keyboard and my PC starts normally, without any hang, this is CLEARLY the MINI causing this problem. PLEASE FIX THIS !

Hi Redbeardtpirate! Thanks for sharing. I'll include this in our report and ensure to cascade it to our Support Team and devs. Please send me a PM.

Hello Corstinsephar. Were you able to update the keyboard's firmware?

Hey ChillyRide. Sorry that this has been an ongoing issue. The Razer Viper 8K's concerns have been escalated to our devs and it is still under investigation. However, the Razer Huntsman Mini's key registration concern is something else. I've notified the team since the firmware that was last released is intended to resolve the freezing/lagging while connecting the keyboard to an AMD-operated computer.

SOLVED For me:

1. Close / disable Razer Synapse
a. Right-click the Razer Synapse icon found on the system tray.
b. Disable Razer Synapse by clicking the appropriate button.
c. Select "Exit All Apps" for Razer Synapse 3
d. Select "Close Razer Synapse" for Razer Synapse 2
e. Reboot as normal

Good morning,i had the same issue a few months ago and it "broke"my pc ones. After format it what i did in order to keep using the keyboard(because i really like it)is ,first at all with the software still installed i programmed the keys i wanted. The keyboard will make the pc slow but is just in order to do that step. After that i deleted the software ,plug my old keyboard and then you navigate to deviced and i blocked the drivers. Then just restart the pc with the razer keyboard and you wont have any problem anymore.
You will only be able to have the "breathing effect " BUT ,you can use the keyboard as normal + you will still have the key programmed 😉.I know because i programmed also as "enter" they key just above the default "enter" and i still have the "2 enters"even without any trace of software or drivers.
I did this 2 or 3 months ago so i didnt remember exactly what i did but if there is anyone interested i will try to find the "youtube comment"which helped me doing this.

By the way i have AMD micro

Regards =)

Hi I am using the Razer Huntsman TE and having the same issue on every windows restart and only solution is unplugging and plugging back into the keyboard after restart, using an i7-9700k and windows 10
