Yep getting occasional certain keys not registering on intel 8086k setup. The firmware change helped but it did not fix everything.

Its also not a mechanical issue with the keyboard because the keyboard can work fine when plugged into new systems for a while.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the feedback. For those who are still experiencing the issue, please send me a PM together with your computer's Razer Synapse 3.0 logs. Ensure to save the files via Google Drive or to any online drive and paste the shareable link in your message. Also, for those who are non-AMD system users, refrain from installing the firmware as it can brick your device.

I experienced unexpected behaviour with the new firmware. Previous issue was definitely gone, however I still experienced system lockup after some time. I have submitted most recent logs using synapse, and have unplugged keyboard and stopped synapse form running to test if it is indeed the keyboard that has caused it.
Anyone else come across an issue following updating the firmware where the fn keys are not registering the fn function when clicked? Eg the left arrow key when pressing fn inputs a j rather than moving left

Hi marthofdoom! Do you have a support case number? Feel free it to me via PM so I can check its updates.

Hey MattF1! Are you using a system with AMD chipset and Razer Huntsman Mini? Please send me your computer Razer Synapse 3.0 logs via PM. Ensure to upload the files via Google Drive or to any online drive, then paste the link in your message.

Hey santivander! Which switch version does your keyboard use? Is it the linear optical switch? Please send me your Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition's serial number together with the computer's Synapse 3.0 logs and upload it via online drive just like the steps I mentioned above.
I have the same problem with my Huntsman Tournament Edition. Is there a firmware fix available for my keyboard as well?

Thanks for your reply, you should now have a PM from me. If you need any more info or later logs seen as I've had both the issues again today please let me know 🙂
Same situation here, opened RMA case yesterday at my local reseller, because we don't have official Razer support on Argentina.

In my case, It's a Huntsman Mini w/Purple Switches. Explorer taskbar was fixed after firmware upgrade but I've repeatedly noticed sticky keys or multi keys registered or even none keys registered when pressed.
It's very annoying because I mostly use this keyboard to competitive csgo, I'd to change back to my old blackwidow keyboard :(

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated

I think we all have this issue for now. I can confirm having smth like that to. waiting for another fix.
Alright, it must be a misunderstanding, but if I may give some advice, next time that you want to truly help do not question their case or try to find contradictions in their case like you did with mine, otherwise they will feel everything but "helped". First impressions count and this was a very bad first impression from this comunity for me (Logging off for good from this thread, and comunity even).

Nonetheless, thanks for trying to help and stay safe too.
So I join the club, I got a Huntsman Mini from Razer official store in Mercadolibre (which is like a latin ebay), as soon as I plugged the Mini the taskbar froze, keys I and O don't work, randomly they start working, some days they do some they just simply don't register. Plugging this thing makes my PC go crazy, I also have an AMD CPU.

I tried all the steps Razer provided but did not work. Now the store does not want to honor the warranty and now I have a beautiful paperweight.
@aaccensi wondering if you ever solved your problem? I'm having the exact same issue you are having.

Hey there! Please send me a PM or submit a case to our Support Team by clicking this link.
@retroMagentaPinksigns170 the issue was gone as soon as I plugged back my old keyboard. I believe the firmware got screwed with the update I installed and it was having problems interacting with windows. But since it was my first day with the keyboard I simply returned it so I have no clue how to fix it. I guess reverting back to the original firmware should work, but I have no clue if there is a factory reset option or a downgrade installer somewhere.
Just purchased the Huntsman TE TKL, day 1 of owning it (yesterday) and here I am with the same issue as everyone. Seems there is no fix? Running on an intel i7-10700k + z490 mobo.

Could this be related to the issue some of us have reported here: Razer Insider | Forum - HUNTSMAN MINI - partial working ?

It might have been resolved through a software/driver update or plugging in another keyboard.

However, I must thank you for linking to the page with the firmware update for the Huntsman Mini. I will bookmark it, in case the problem returns.

It dosn't sound like the same problem so I have no clue if is related. The only thing I can tell you is that I didn't link tot that page for people to install that firmware update, but just to prove it existed to someone in this thread that doubted everything I said that was telling me that the only official updates went trough Synapse. In fact the whole point was that installing that firmware only caused me more issues besides the one I was trying to fix.

I just bought the huntsman mini which I totally love in terms of look and feel... but I'm returning it right away :slightly_sad:
This is the 2nd time I buy a razer product and have to return it, both times the product had so much potential and both times seems like "lack of test" is the reason the product is barely usable, a real pitty cause I truly love the look and feel.

Well, I go to the point. Got the keyboard yesterday and I wasn't able to use the "onboard" profiles, synapse lets me load them and all that but when I cycle trough them in the keyboard with synapse turned off they do not work (I always get the same "Spectrum cycling" lighning no mater what I loaded into the profile).

So I headed to the support page for the keyboard and found that there is firmware update, I though "Great! this might fix the issue"... After installing the driver the keyboard FN combos were messed and the windows taskbar unusable, the FN combos were fixed once I launched again synapse but the windows taskbar is broken for the span of 4 to 5 minutes every time I start windows (that is simply unbearable, I have to reinstall windows now but I cannot keep a keyboard that I know can cause that, not the keyboard itself, but the support attached to it).

Hi all!

Just thought I'd chime in here and let you know that I have the exact same problem that occurred in exactly the same way. Summary: updated firmware to latest version, which caused the same task bar issue as described by the OP. Solved by changing to a different keyboard whereby everything is now working fine. Tested again by swapping back, where the problem can be replicated.

It seems there is an issue with the latest firmware.

@Razer Support: Recommend looking into this as soon as possible as I cannot use your keyboard at the moment.

Thank you kindly.
Ok, so my reseller send me back a Huntsman TE TKL this time. Guess what? Same sh!t happends.
Please, fix it :(
Some keys not registered, multi keys when pressed. Impossible to play serious in a competition with this keyboard...
Hey everyone,

Im also having the same issue where my huntsman mini is messing up windows taskbar. At boot up the taskbar does not load until I click it a few times, then the screen flickers and the icons appear. If my computer is already on and I unplug then plug it in again, multiple buttons stop working on the taskbar (Start, search, and notification center) for around 5 min.
I could not find any solutions online.

Hey everyone! Thanks for sharing your experiences while using the keyboard. Please be aware that our team has been notified that even after the firmware update (for AMD users), the issue persisted. On the other hand, there is an Intel user that needs to be assisted. I've seen that there are Razer Huntsman TE/Huntsman Elite users who claimed that they are experiencing the issue too. One user advised that it is happening in Razer Blackwidow V3, but it is still under investigation. Please help us report it to our devs by sending the following:

a. Screenshot of System Information (Hit Windows+R to open the Run box. Type “msinfo32” into the “Open” field, and then hit Enter.)
b. Screenshot of Windows version (Hit Windows + R. Open the Run box with then type winver)
c. Screenshot of Synapse version (Click the gear/cog icon at the top right. For Synapse 3.0, click “About”).
d. Razer Synapse 3.0 logs.

Save the compressed files via Google Drive or any online drive account, then paste the link in your PM. Let's continue from there.
Firmware update defo helped a lil with the windows issues but it did not fix the problem with some keys not being registered properly they all light up and all, but some keys (in my case the letters: m, r, t, y) won't register like 70% of the time. Huntsman Mini red ver here.

Exactly what I am experiencing!

I am speaking to a technical support member by the name of Hunter. I’ve sent him system and synapse logs for reference and even made a youtube video of the problem as per his request:

I am asking for a copy of the original firmware so I can flash my keyboard back to factory and test it out. This all started because of the firmware update I believe.

Did you ever get a copy of the original firmware update? Running into this exact problem on my Huntsman Mini.

Hi,

No, not as of yet. I’ve requested it but support are wanting to try a whole bunch of other stuff first.

We are now at level 3 support. So it went from the first tech support consultant to another team and now, to another team again. I am hoping this would be the last step and that I can finally fix the issue. Otherwise, I might have to RMA the keyboard which I don’t want to do really.

Anyway, I’ll continue to update everyone here unless somebody else has progressed further than me with tech support. In this case, I am hoping that they also post up their updates as well.
