Razer Audio Mixer video freezes

Hello,

since 6 month or so i had some really anoying problems with my audio mixer, when i watch videos (no matter where youtube, netflix, netflix app) the video freezes but the audio continues.

After the latest Synapse update it got even worse. Now when i watch a video it freeses in the first 10 seconds, bevor i could watch for a few minutes. Only fix is relaoding the page.

It also only occours  when there is a video, youtube music with out video runs fin for hours. But as soon as i turn on the video its starts buffering after some time but the audio keeps playing. Even when i let it play in the backgroung which is the most anoying part, since i can’t really hear my youtube playlists anymore.

 

I’m sorry for any typos since english is not my first language.

2.57 Billion Dollar company can’t fix a software bug only response for weeks is: We are aware of this problem. But im having this problem for months now. Pls fix it we can’t watch your product review videos.

I have the same problem.

I’ve had my mixer for maybe 5 to 6 months, the only way around this is to go into task manager and stop all Razer apps running in the background processes, which is very annoying since that defeats the purpose of having a mixer in the first place, the sound will still work but you won’t be able to use anything on the mixer. For example, all the sliders for volume stay the same if moved up or down, you press the mute button just for it to do nothing, I think you get the picture. 
I also happen to run a wired Basilisk V3 as well as the Viper Ultimate and can’t use any of the features on them, such as the free spin scroll wheel on the V3 and changing DPI on the go, all because the audio mixer makes any video freeze like it’s buffering with the audio still playing and then starts looping the audio after some time.

This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

Same problem over here, we paid a lot of money for a professional Audio-Interface Device wich im really happy with. But it can’t be the truth that this Software Bug is causing so much Problems to this nice piece of Hardware in particular Razor knows about the problem and is not really communicating with us.

If people are ready to invest so much for a professional device of your brand you should be able to fix small software Bugs like this in time. Im a patient person but to see that this Bug is causing problems since months is a little bit to much infact that Razer is a really popular and rich company.

New update didn’t fix the problem.

Is there a site with the changelogs to see if it will be included in future updates?

Same problem! ALL streaming multimedia freezing, youtube\netflix\twitch even the trailers on Steam! Browser music have same problem… After 24 hours without reboot, device starts crackling, and synapse not respounce….

Check in LatencyMon, the DPC Latency is going over 10000, Razermixer.sys is going crazy. 

And this stuff, on my both PC, AMD and Intel. 

After i remove device from the system, everything work grate! 

Dear support, please, start talk with us. What you doing to fix this NIGHTMARE!

I’ve now had it happen in a game too. South Park: The Stick of Truth. Sound and Video completly out of sync. I guess for cutscenes they use video and just overlay your character.

 

But the whole thing is just ridiculous. A device to help you set your audio ruining it.

I deleted the razer synapse 3.0 application and downloaded razer synapse beta and it seems that this problem has been solved. Try to do so, too, maybe it will help you. P.S. English is not my native language, I used Google Translate

Wanted to uninstall Synapse and then saw under the modify option, that there is new update avaible (20240112).

And: Problem not solved, but it takes much longer for it to occur.

Update:
I just switched to the beta and the first audio problem is solved.

But another audio problem is introduced. After a restart the audio levels are set to 50% on all levels. Turnin them up takes five seconds, but that’s at least fixable fast.

i have the same problem. till i knowed that razer is the problem it needs weeks. 

paid much money for this and it doesnt work! -.-

Had to switch to the normal synapse again. The beta-version caused more problems than it helped.

So off for sound and video stutters we are again.

Now i tried the beta synapse software. the video problem is solved with the beta but now i have another problem!

Every time i restart or boot my PC the audio mixer is not working. To solve the problem i have to reconnect my usb cable from PC or  razer audio mixer. then it works but i have to reset the windows sound settings and soundsettings in my game..

 

it sucks..

Is there a fix for the static noise problem with the mixer? After some time of using the mixer I get a static noise on a random applicatie like spotify or a game. But the rest sound normal.

Update:

The videoproblem is fixed by using the Beta Synapse Software BUT:

Now after every time i start my PC after a few minutes i get a blue screen called “WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR”… i installed windows again but nothing chances! The bluescreen is still there!

I disconnected the audio mixer and the blue screen problem is fixed! but now i have no audio device! Jesus…..!

 

I will go to the competitors Elgato and get the “Stream deck +”. i ordered allready

this device can a lot more thinks and the price is the same!

 

Razer shame on you that u dont get us any support here

i solved my whole problem by disable the “fast startup”-bootsetting on windows 10.

u can find it on power options → system settings

 

i hope this will help a few people  here

Thank you, I’m on windows 11 but I will still try I out.

Disabling the fast startup does not solve the problem on windows 11
