@everyone

For everyone still having this issue, check the firmware page again. Mine got fixed with the new update!!

Is there any news how to fix this? , I have the same problem.

I am regularly checked this thread but no real solution for the issue:(

I have the same problem with my Razer Barracuda. Among other things, today there was some kind of bug and when you connect headphones via bluetooth, the volume is no longer adjustable when the volume is actively synchronized. I tried to fix this by resetting the settings, but Synapse does nothing and there are no other options other than firmware update. Removed the driver, reinstalled the synapse, installed the latest version of Windows 11.

Hello there,

OP here..

So somehow my headphone is blinking again while charging. Still not sure how its fixed tho, but my best guesses are either windows update or synapse update (which still doesn’t make sense what the correlation of it), because i mostly charge using phone charger not my PC.

As for @MrEg01st ‘s question, Razer offered me to RMA but unfortunately my region is not covered in their shipping destinations. So maybe you guys can reach them through razer support ticket, and hopefully they offered the RMA.

Cheers!

Hi, @chocoblast  listen to the question, what version of Synapse and Windows do you have, and if you turn off the headphones, the phrase Power Of will be pronounced completely?Or it will end with "Po"?

Also, do you use any Razer apps other than Synapse?

It’s a major firmware bug and also it’s very annoying thing. When you try to charge your device while headphone on, your device may have this bug. Solution is very easy. Remove right speaker cap and four screw from unit. After that disconnect the Li-on battery from the unit for a while. When the battery disconnected try to turn on your unit. Then you can connect battery connector. That is the solution.

Enjoy!

I do confirm that it fixes the led issue and that it is really easy to do, thank you!

It doesn’t fix the «power off» voice being cut when you turn it off but that…

I guess it is as it is and is it really important? Not in my opinion.

The weird part is that before, the firmware updater said an update was required (from v1.05.00 to v1.05.00_r2) and it never worked because the headset was shutting down almost immediately, but after this operation, it shows that my firmware is already up to date (v1.05.00_r2) and thus that no update is needed.

Anyway, it is fixed now.

Now remains a question, as I don’t want to try by myself: do we have to avoid charging the headset while it is turned on to avoid causing the bug again?

That's why i don't wanna do this method with my own initiative. Because it voids the warranty and there's no confirmed fix for this issue and this solution has a 50/50 chance for fixing the issue or making it worse and this repairing method will definitely voids the warranty of the headset and i think it's not worth it for these such risky repair methods. And my headset just working fine if i didn't care of this issue. Because this issue don't even interrupt any of my headset's functions.

I hope razer can fix this issue but yeah i can live with it if my headset never got serious issues with it's critical functions.

My headset suddenly self - fixed the not blinking while charging problem but i won't do the firmware update of my headset because im not sure there will no problem while updating and wrecking the headset's firmware again so i won't do any updates and i hope razer will fix this problem and show us solution ways

And it looks like razer sending new updates to their synapse software I hope they can really fix issues with their headsets after the updates that razer headsets really needed it for

Another one with this annoying update bug here!

Could we please get any response to our request here?? Pretty please??????

I have this problem and i want to try this solution to fix it but…

Will this process void the warranty of the device? Because, unfortunately, such operations can generally void the warranty of the devices and i don't want to void the warranty. Because i bought this device 2 months ago and this headphone is really expensive for me.

I finally tested to plug and charge it while it was turned on and so far so good, the led works as it should.

The operation is not risky at all, it's child play and there is no reason Razer should know that you opened the headset unless you tell them (or come here to brag about it, but even in this case it is very unlikely that the people in charge will see it).

There is not a "50/50 chance of making things worse".

It's about removing four screws, unplugging a connector, trying to turn on the headset to clear some memory and plugging the connector back. I don't see what you can do wrong unless you're the clumsiest person on this planet.

Don't pull the speaker cap too hard and too far as there is a wire connecting it to the headset but that's about it, you still have a lot of room to move. You would really need to try to break it to break it.

Now if your headset works fine and you don't feel the need to do anything about it, then good indeed, just don't do it, that's not worth it and I don't know why we are speaking about it in the first place.

Actually, yes, I can apply the solution as you said, but I wrote this comment because it is written in the warranty document that opening it will void the warranty and of course I do not know whether this solution really works. If the headphones break again over time, you can reply here.

Okay, I was able to update the firmware and the problem was solved, guys download the update for headphones only from the version without X and PRO, pull out your Internet cable, restart the computer so that Razer services don't work and I got it, everything is flashing

Well, did the update and still getting 3 to 5 second sound cut outs.. Dont understand whats happening… What trash.. Dealing with this issue for sometime now and the conclusion is they are garbage.. would try a new dongle but they are always sold out on their website..

Even if you update,
THX sound and EQ settings Not Working!
I did it, but in Synapse 3 there is no way to adjust the THX sound and EQ settings.

I can’t believe it still hasn’t been fixed.

Hello! So I think I know the problem now. The problem that I think is the biggest cause here is the Windows version. I am running Windows 11 and both my personal computer and work computer are running on same versions. When I update my PC to Windows 11 22H2, the firmware was updated successfully but only after 2 tries if I remember correctly. It failed on the first and second try then closed it to restart it then when I opened the updater on the 3rd try, it said that it was already updated.

Exactly the same problem. Contacted support. - They simply refused to help, referring to some security measures.
I think, that this was my first and my last product from Razer.

Try updating your windows if that helps. Mine just magically fixed after updating windows.

Hey guys. I’ve faced with same problem.
C’mon RAZER deploy any solution to fix this 😡. Maybe it have possibility to update vie USB and boot oader just write an instruction we’re not cockroaches and can make anything to go through update process.😐

OKAY, This is seriously F’ED UP.

I commented here 2 months ago that it was fixed. I just got my new pc built last month and I noticed today that my headset rolled back to the old version and it’s not letting me update again!!

I tried what I said 2 months ago and it’s not working anymore. already updated to Windows 11 22H2, and didn’t work.

Okay. I can confirm that brute force method posted by Helgrid above is worked. After several attempts it works and headset updated to 1.5.0-1.02.00.

So I’ve tried 2 times at first. After each attempt it fails. Then I’ve rebooted PC. Tried again and noticed that light became white while updating but no luck. Off and on headset after that. Then started process again. I’ve noticed that light became white on a few seconds and in this moment I’ve pushed UPDATE button and on second try it finished in a momentum and I saw saw notification that headset is up to date.
Now light blinking with red light while charging again.

UPD> And yep, it’s not a solution RAZER, just make your job well.

Yesterday I tried to make many attempts of update, and also tried to restart the PC. No result. Can you write more detailed description of your actions?

Можешь написать и на русском :)
