I’ve just bought a wireless mouse Razer Basilisks X hyperspeed and Im having random freezing issues with the connection. Sometimes while I’m playing I cant move my pointer for one second or even more. I dont know if his is a common problem and how to solve it before contacting Razer Support. I did verify windows is updated, updated the firmware, downloaded the pairing utility and almost all things before contacting them.

Thanks for your time.

Random freezing issues with a wireless mouse can be caused by several factors, such as wireless interference, low battery, outdated drivers, or a faulty mouse. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Move the wireless receiver closer to the mouse or use a USB extender to get the receiver closer to the mouse.

  2. Make sure the battery is fully charged or replace it with a new one.

  3. Try resetting the mouse by turning it off and then back on again, or by pressing the reset button if your mouse has one.

  4. Check for any firmware or driver updates for your mouse on the Razer website.

  5. Try using a different USB port on your computer to see if that makes any difference.

  6. Disable any other wireless devices or Bluetooth connections that might be interfering with the mouse.

  7. If none of the above steps work, contact Razer Support for further assistance.

You can also try the steps here for further isolation. If the same problem persists, it’s highly likely a hardware problem. You can PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and check our options. Thank you!

YES…..i have the same problem with my new mouse…...it is just stupid…...I choose RAZER because i thought the product quality will be good, but i am very dissapointed. The battery cover is moving on the back of my hand and i have 2-3 sec of pointer freezes. Last night i got so angry...i thought i will smash it on the ground.  Stupid design..

I've been disappointed with Razer too since they replace mine 2 times and I still got the same issues.

They said that my Laptop is the problem without knowing I bought a laptop in between the warranty claim (Which took almost a year to replace all of my claim).

They decline my 3rd warranty claim saying that the mouse have no problem (after 4 months of uncertainty!!) even when I already give them a video of the serial number, date, and their product failing in a single video without any cut.

They just sell pure rubbish.

2 times replacement and got rubbish (3 products) only mean garbage. Even $8 Logitech perform a lot better.

I hope this only happen with Razer Indonesia.

You have to install the firmware for it to not stutter and pause. The firmware is what makes it work and it works flawlessly when installed. You can't say it is a garbage product if you haven't done what is required to use it properly. I had the same problem and as soon as I installed the new firmware I was happy with this mouse, it is better than logitech by a long shot.

That isn’t true, this issue started for me out of nowhere a few days ago after working fine for a year with the firmware installed. Now suddenly it’s doing it constantly, even when everything is uninstalled and after a clean re-install.
