I just encountered the same exact issue! Word for word! Only that I didn't have any issues prior, and suddenly it stopped as well. Blue light come on then dims off, not sure if it's a dongle related issue.
Did you manage to get it sorted since?
i have the same problem and i would like to know if i can buy a new dongle instead of a whole new headset and where bc i don’t want a fake one and i didn’t find it on the website

Hello, last month I brought myself the Blackshark V2, now after a few weeks using it wireless with the dongle all of a sudden the dongle doesn’t want to work anymore.
I had some weird issues with it before it decided to stop working, It would randomly disconnect, now at first it would happen ever so often, maybe a few hours apart from each other but then it would get worse being only a few minutes apart from each other or even a few seconds of connecting it by the hyperspeed wireless mode.
Whenever I plug it into my PC it goes “The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it.” and inside of device manager it says “PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller”
Along with plugging it in to the PC a blue dim light shows for a few seconds before fading.
I tried different PCs and even different cords and different USB ports, even restarting my PC.
I don’t know what to do, I really am quite disappointed and upset, I really liked this headset and now that I can’t use it wirelessly makes me aggerated.

I was able to fix the same issue w/ a firmware update. Follow the steps and restart the headset when complete and the green light reappeared on the dongle. Hope this helps!

Something similar happened to me, one day when I went to use my BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) it would not connect to the dongle. The dongle was recognized in device manager and windows “Sounds” and it was labeled correctly, I tried searching for drivers and nothing. I also tried Windows sound troubleshooting and nothing.
I then researched the problem and found quite a few threads about my issue and similar ones. There were some helpful troubleshooting steps provided by Razer, there are a few different software programs they provide. One is “Razer Headset Pairing Utility” it tries to re-pair headsets to their appropriate dongles. Unfortunately this didn’t work for me and the headset never paired to the USB dongle.
The second software is the firmware upgrade, again for some people it works but if your headset is in-capable of connecting to the HyperSpeed dongle. You will not be able to use the software as connecting the headset to the PC via BT, the software programs do not even recognize it.
Interestingly Razer Synapse, does not recognize the headset being connected, even when it is connected via BT also it doesn't see the HyperSpeed dongle... but windows does.. I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing Razer Synapse, and no luck there.
For me I believe the only solution is a replacement of the headset and associated parts. Also unfortunately for me, I some how bought the headset from a potential, non Razer Auth. re-seller. Which I was completely unaware of until I saw in the prof of purchase/receipt from amazon, the seller was not Razer. I then checked the amazon sellers page and they no longer sell the headset, and when I click on the link to it from my order history, it links me to the one Razer is selling. I found that very peculiar and makes me assume something weird happened.

Worked perfectly for like a month and now is dead

I am having the same issue. It will work perfectly for a few minutes then turn off and windows says the usb device has malfunctioned. Bluetooth connection sounds absolutely terrible.
I honestly returned mine. My wife has the same model and it works fine on my computer. I suspect a bad wireless dongle.
I would use Bluetooth but the audio quality plummets the second I connect to discord for voice chat...
Same issue here with my wife’s V2 Hyperspeed dongle. Was occasionally losing connection and needing to be reset. I updated the driver for her from Razer’s website, restarted the computer, and now I can’t get the dongle to light up at all and Synapse doesn't even show it. It's like it's completely dead. These are brand about 3 months old as well. Super frustrating.
Why are there no reply’s here? I have the same issue with the dongle being detected fine but not connecting to the headset. The headset is “connected’ which the blue light suggests but even when i unplug the dongle it says connected which it cant be because i have the version without Bluetooth.
It seems like they dont have an idea whats going on and sadly I think without the proof of purchase i might be unlucky here even if its still in warranty. But this might have been the last razer product because there seems to be no technical support in forums. lets see if at least there customer service is good.
Hi, also having this issue, so if my partner and we have these same headphones. not only are we having the dongle issue (because I also had that ominous message from windows) but now synapse refuses to acknowledge the headphones and just says they are turned off when they are not. Bluetooth isn't a solution sadly, I thought it would be, they just don't work on Bluetooth, like at all. they just continue to pair forever…
Hi, same problem here, it worked since I bought this headset on september 2024, and since 1 or 2 weeks, the headset keeps disconnecting in Hyperspeed mode (or the dongle doesn’t work anymore).
