Razer Blade Pro 2020 can't update Nvidia drivers

Can't update it and tech support has no clue how to get this fixed. It is going to be escalated. Let's see how long it takes to get this resolved.

It's decently widespread it seems. Rather tired of the lack of any official statement Keep hearing that one is coming, but that's been the statement for about 4 months now.

There are issues with Nvidia's drivers with texture flickering in a lot of games right now though as well.

As what i had researched on all other forums, Razer should take note that this black screen issue is happening on 2019, 2020 and 2021 blade 15 advance and Pro models.

Currently back on driver version 431.86 or 452.06, best battery life so far vs the newer versions but the Black screen issue and flickering is still the same across all drivers on Blade 15 Advance RTX2070

I don't know why Lenovo and Asus did a better job on addressing and fixing the drivers/software with same black screen issues on the Legion series and the brand new G14's last year. Hoping that a famous Youtuber or Vlogger will post regarding this issue so that Razer will take it more seriously.
What is the most recent driver update that works on this laptop? I am still using a driver from like August.

I use 452.06. Anything after that, i get the black screen. Razer 17 Advanced Pro 2020 (4K 120hz, RTX 2080)

Does your Blade 17 still experience black screen after waking up from sleep ?

My 2019 advance model 2070 is still experiencing black screen after sleep, even when on 452.06 drivers and windows 10 1904

Yea, rarely tho. It almost always wakes up properly. On Windows 1904, as well

did you do a clean windows install or just a hard factory reset ?

Neither. When I experienced the black screen, I plugged my laptop into my TV via hdmi cable and it appears on the TV screen. Even better, after connecting it to my TV and then restarting my laptop, the laptop screen came back on. But it goes black after unplugging it from the TV. Anyway, I just manually installed 452.06 from Nvidia website while connected to my TV and I got it to work again. Never had to reset or reinstall windows. Hope this helps

Thanks! No choice but to wait for a miracle fix on our “Flicker Blade” 15 and 17s. Already tried resetting the laptop to factory status, tried almost all driver versions studio and gameready, to no avail
fix this shit razer, bought the 2021 Base and its the most EXPENSIVE and HORRIBLE decision I've ever made, even my last Razer 2020 only lasted a week before the left side of the 4k display died on the laptop. $4000 DOWN THE DRAIN!!

Yes, very funny. Switching of dedicated GPU will get rid of the black screen, but also of the 120Hz refresh rate.
Any updates on this matter? Even saying "we are working on it" goes a long way with people that bought your very very expensive hardware. Expensive hardware that doesn't work properly mind you. I apologize for writing posts like these but I am really frustrated with lack of progress or even a word from anyone from Razer.
Still no fix in sight and no update from razer? This is getting quite ridiculous. This issue's been going on for 6 months.

Why has it taken 6 months + and there is still no fix?
Will this issue get fixed or is it likely to be left and forgotten about?
I imagine if Razer can’t fix it after 6 months, it is more likely that it isn’t getting fixed.
Is there a reason why it is taking so long?

Apologies for the delay in terms of creating the official fix. I cannot give you out the exact reason. However, this is a task where our devs need to align our Razer Blades to the latest changes with Windows updates and the graphic drivers themselves. I'll send this as feedback to the team.

My husband and I got our new Razor 17 Pro today - both had the same setup. Mine works fine, his is having the black screen issues. He is trying now all the fix suggestions posted in the threads but I am wondering how the same setup can behave so differently....

Nvidia released drivers 461.92. Anyone tried it on Razer Blade 15 advance rtx and Pro models if it fixed the issue? Currently downloading it now. I'll update you guys when there's good news. Fingers crossed.
461.92 has the same result as 461.72, black screen only in dedicated gpu mode. Reverting back to 452.06

This is honestly something that I would hope @Razer.Speedcr0ss and team are taking back to the support devs. I'm beginning to wonder if there's some internal variation in components that are causing this. It would explain why some have the issue and some don't, despite the same official specs. I know there were issues with the new RTX desktop cards from some manufacturers along these lines. (different issue, but just an example of how that can happen)
