For me, it happens also with Synapse 3 and Synapse beta.

What mouse and firmware version.   You try updating mouse.  Also what surface are you using it on. What computer has computer bios been updated or adjusted.

Should probably been go private before answering but I'm not paid tech support.  So only answer if you want.  But check computer bios to see if older and try different surfaces or mouse mat if possible.

Thank you

Jeff martin

Hi everyone, very similar issue here: mouse keeps connecting and disconnecting repeteadly but only if the all 3 circumstances are intact:

  • Blade 16 (e.g. Lenovo laptop works)
  • mouse receiver is connected to Thunderbolt 4 Dock
  • Spectrum cycle is turned on Synapse 3

I contacted support. In the beginning they asked meaningful questions on how to reproduce. After they sent the case to their “internal” team, they started to propose dummy solutions like I should do factory reset and wipe all my data to see if it helps or not?!

Any help is highly apretiated.

Yeah I think that’s the thing. I have 2 Lenovo  8 gen and 13 Gen laptops and a 8 gen Alienware. Have Ornata V3, black widow v3 keyboards and cobra and basilisk mice and they disconnects every 10 - 20 secs on my Alienware but they work perfect on Lenovo laptops. I also have Kraken hs v3 and black shark v2 2033 pro and barracuda x headsets and they work fine in all laptops

I only have the Razer Basilisk Ultimate mouse as hardware connected to my computer . And yesterday when i was playing Battlefield 2042 i suddenly got this problem too. Loved the mouse up until now. Its now connected threw the usb cable, and that was not my intention when spending the money on this mouse. Have tried ununstalling synapse 3, and also used the driver removal tool, to no success :( It just keeps connecting and disconnecting repeatedly. Realy not tempted to buy another wireless mouse from Razer

Well. Just wanted to update. Now suddenly my mouse is working again. I have played since i posted, with the cord connected, and  i did nothing else then re install Razer Synapse again (version 3.9.331.32712) and now its working again m, wireless. So it cant have been a hardware fault in my case

Well if it went away that great. I check windows logs for hints.  Normally I check lift off settings and do custom mouse pad setup.   The only other problem I had was voltage for usb was setup wrong in bios.

Hopefully it keeps working but if not definitely contact support they should be able to collect log and information to help track problems.

Have you try the normal stuff setup custom mouse surface or select mouse pad.  Adjust lift off distance.  Should also be done after doing firmware updates.   Try running windows sfc or dism.  Also if razer email support does not help try contacting windows support.     Normally I check firmware version first.  Then adjust lift off distance.

Just had to deal with a similar problem for a a couple of days.

Deleted synapse v3 and it works fine, but without the additional features.

So disappointed that a once great company has fallen so low,
Never going to but a Razer product again.

Did you try top right corner in software to rest hardware or software.   Did tech support check logs and installed software. Drivers, firmware and bios. To help trouble shoot.    Did you ask windows support for help?

Same issues with Tartarus v2. Every time i restart my pc it loses all its functions. I get 2-3 pop ups after a restart asking for permission for razer to update. Can’t get that to go away either. Been using their products for as long as i can remember but I am about done. I spend more time trying to get their products working than playing the games I purchased them for.

Well very sad but also good to know I'm not the only one with this problem.

Just got it recently. While playing games my sound would just randomly dissappear for 2 to 3 seconds with long interval. The longer I play the more frequent the sound los would appear to the moment where there is no sound at all just the annoying scratch/plop sound of the headset reconnecting.

Plz Razer fix your stuff

I have the same problem. But it's not the software, it's the cheap USB connector. I have a Razer Base Station V2 Chroma and whenever I wiggle the USB connection very slightly I have reconnects. I have the same thing with my Huntsmann V2 keyboard. The USB plugs of the Razer devices are very very cheap!

I am having this same issue. I do not have razer synapse installed and never have on this pc i just run the mouse as is with the 2.4 dongle. my mouse is a basilisk ultimate and all of a sudden one day it just acted like the battery was dead and when i put it on the wireless charger it blinks at me like its charging but in whatever generic color it was in prior to, not the battery charging indicator colors. when i go to use it it will work or a split second, and then disconnect and it repeats this on and on. i really love my basilisk and am very upset that it is doing this as this is my main gaming mouse. If anyone in this thread could steer me in a good direction on how to fix this issue please reach out

I would also like to include with my last comment that when i try to update the firmware with the firmware updater it updates fully to 100% and then repeats the process over and over again from 0%-100%. I do not know whats going on here, or even if its actually updating.

A few of these post almost sound like bad soldiering joints or something got bent. I not had many USB connectors fail myself from razer.   But I try on a few different USB connectors and setup warranty claims so they can look into it.  Normally you should see some kind of windows error message being logged helping prove  the problem.   For the firmware updating problem I only see virus scanning software Block it from work or a windows feature not installed. If at all possible try different computer or boot into safe mode  then try installing firmware again..   hopefully this helps.

I haver a Deathadder V3 wired mouse. The  disconnecting started 2 or 3 weeks ago at bootup but I didn’t notice the suspend mode being a problem until 2 weeks ago. I love the mouse for gaming but this is really annoying. I tried the updated Synapse 3.0 and it did nothing.

For mice I normally check firmware, adjust lift off distance and setup custom mouse pad.  I find this can help specifically the lift off distance is low increasing will help.   A few times motherboards or laptop bios updates helped.

Just checked the firmware and it’s updated already. The mousepad I have not changed at all since I bought the mouse and gamed with it. The bios is updated on the XPS desktoip I have the mouse connected up to.

Did you check lift off distance. Because if you lift it up past that point it stop working.   Should be near custom mouse pad setup.

I’ve been gaming on the same mousepad. The mouse is weird and the connection is lost via USB. I have no idea how it won’t come back. It happened recently only. It never happened when I first got the mouse.

I only really know of doing factory reset in synapse or scan hard drive for errors with sfc or dism commands then reboot  unless windows has error message.

I tried dism to fix the problem and it didn’t do anything. sfc I doubt will fix the problem. It’s a driver problem.

Well if really a driver problem you need to report driver version to support and the problem that happening.   See when next driver comes out.

I have Razer Basilisk RZ01-0233 Gaming Mouse

For the last week I’m having a serious freezing issue only while playing CS2. With Synapse open or closed, it freezes for 1-2 seconds twice or three times during a round and it is frustrating. I tried many ways to solve the issue watching many Youtube videos etc, but no solution. Synapse is the latest version.

Sometimes the freeze is permanent and I have to disconnect and reconnect USB cable to make it work again, during the game...
