The fact this keeps happening after so many years is unbelivable. I’ve been having the exact same issue for a month now, done all the troubleshooting I could find… Wasting hundreds of $ on products that refuse to work because of some software bs you refuse to solve is laughing on the face of your consumers. Im NEVER buying any of your products again.

I will never buy Razer products again, it's incredible that they make mistakes like that without being able to solve them in so much time.

My razer devices disconnect and reconnect out of nowhere. When it starts this cycle of disconnects and reconnects, it usually happens for several minutes straight.

This is not a USB or motherboard problem. It happens to my razer keyboard and mouse at the same time. My Chroma lighting on my keyboard will revert to default color design when it disconnects, and then back to my preferred chroma settings when it reconnects. It disconnects and reconnects every couple of seconds until I reboot. Even if I plug my keyboard and mouse into different pots, the problem persists. I've tried plugging my mouse and keyboard into USB ports that I know don't have a problem, because I have other devices plugged into them that stay connected all the time. However, the problem persists no matter which USB ports I use.

My mouse experiences the exact same problem at the same time, which makes it nearly impossible to use, because when it disconnects, I obviously have no input. It reconnects for a second or 2, but then immediately disconnects again.

I have tried to hard-close the synapse software while it's doing this, but it gets stuck. Even if I close the software when its doing this, it continues doing it until I reboot.

I have my synapse drivers up to date. I downloaded and installed the new Viper Ultimate firmware. Everything is up to date.

Currently using Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard, and Viper Ultimate Wireless mouse.

(IMPORTANT) The only way I can avoid this problem is to uninstall synapse completely, rendering most of the features obsolete. I want Razer to be aware of this, because these products are expensive, and most of the features of the products are built into a software bundle that does not work for me. There are other threads on this forum about this exact same problem, that were left open with no resolution from 2021. Razer must be aware of this, if they aren't, I will continue posting about it until they are.

this is happening to me as well on the blackwidow

It’s horrible, I got a brand new mouse (basilisk v3) and keyboard (ornata v3) for Christmas. First day of gaming and I was already having issues. Sometimes it does it a few times every hour then over time it does it every 5 minutes. Super annoying and I’ve tried a lot of thing. It’s seems like the only way is disconnecting synapse but that only slows it down.

Your software is a buggy mess. More so after pushing Synapse 4 with every new device.

From mouse that stops responding as I look at it having a stroke going through every color of a rainbow.

To keyboard that skips key presses trying to invent a new language.

Hell I’m happy that your headset only made me do a clean Windows install twice from what I’ve read, because it’s completely normal pushing THXaudio even if user doesn’t even check it in install and then watch it in Event Viewer conflicting with Realtek Audio Drivers and decide to corrupt them so much the Audio Graph Isolation in Windows decides to use 50% of CPU, normal day in Razer.

I’m stunned Razer, but hey let’s copy paste answer to users about plugging and unplugging the devices and dongles, peak technical support.

I’m sad I blew so much money on your company, years of software problems you KNOW about but can’t figure.

Mouse Basilisk V3, I've been using it for about 2 years, and everything was fine. Now, suddenly, the same problem has appeared – the mouse randomly disconnects and reconnects 5-6 times in a row. It also constantly disconnects and reconnects when pressing the button to switch the scroll mode. Not only is Synapse itself incredibly inconvenient and laggy, but now this issue has also come up. I am very disappointed.

Having the same issues with my Blackwidow v4. Persists only when razer software is open (either synapse or chroma app). Gone through 3 different fresh windows installs, multiple bios updates, driver updates, two different power supplies, BIOS and CMOS clear. Basically every single troubleshooting step I can think of. Happens on any system I install synapse to with this keyboard.

I cannot believe this has not been fixed yet. super crappy software.

I am having the same issue for the second time, I did everything mentioned here and more, my keyboard Blackwidow v3 reconnects and laggs out, it's just stuck in one place (color, numpad indicators even if you click on it). I bought a cheap 15 euros keyboard of Amazon plugged it in while the razer keyboard was plugged in as well and magically it fixed itself but now after a while it started to disconnect and reconnect again, and this fix is not helping anymore. I am disappointed because it's not even two years old and everything else from my accessories is by Razer, I don’t know what to even think if its Razer or my PC. I always had Razer, i had issues before but they were done by me, like my previous keyboard where I spilled LIpton Ice Tea over it and it was all sugar, but now I have a different setup and I really am careful and take care of them, so I know I did not do anything wrong. I tried so many things to fix it, it would take me too long to list them… Synapse 4 helped once to revive it but now I don't use anything, and after deletion of anything related with Razer it came back but stuck like I mentioned in the beginning, and my Pc doesn't see it as a device anymore.  I am still trying to fix it, if I do I will update.

My Blackwidow V4 75% has been disconnecting randomly since day one over a year ago. I've done every fix mentioned on Reddit and forums and still does it.  I've since switched out to an Asus keyboard and life is good. Never buying a Razer product again. It's a shame, the keyboard was great hardware wise but the shit software is a complete deal breaker.  It's a known is issue with tons of complaints and Razer can't fix it.

Same thing here with my Tartarus V2 that I use for work with my 3D software. I had it for years without serious issue using Synapse 3 then, out of the blue, I start having row of “r” that stop only dialing a key. I upgraded to Synapse 4 and thing got worth as I have also dsiconnections now. I thought I could solve the problem by disabling the key 10, which is the r, on every profile I have. I worked a few day and then it came back. I deleted all my profiles and make a new one only for Cinema4D, without the key 10 of course. I have not even a default profile. It didn’t work as I regularly find my self with a qwerty profile and the key 10 active, it means rows of “r”. I agree with many of you, Razer has a big problem here as they seem totally helpless or worth, they don’t even care of the problem. Those are products to avoid absolutely.

I have a Basilisk Ultimale and have same issue as well from yesterday. keeps disconnecting and connecting but my dongle is totally ok.

Check firmware  re setup lift off distance check windows error log if it still happening.

Not sure about lift off distance just setup high. It cause mouse to turn off after you lift it so high off the surface.   You can even do custom mouse mat setup.

I figured I’d post something since i had this issue for years.

I bought the RAZER Hyperpolling Wireless Dongle for my mouse, and I haven’t had any issues with my mouse or keyboard disconnecting in the last year.
