I've had this issue for so many years now and I've went through maybe 4/5 headsets. I've managed to get them replaced each time but I don't think I can get any more replacements.

The first one lasted the longest didn't have any issues for about a year and then my issues were fixed by turning off the led lights but then eventually started doing it again. As the replacements went on I made sure to turn the led off completely at the beginning after my first replacement did the same problem after a few months.

Unfortunately it hasn't seemed to have helped, my most recent replacement I never had the LED on at all and it's still eventually did the same thing. It really sucks as I love this headset but clearly it doesn't love me haha. Even trying to isolate the headset and only use mic or headphones doesn't work. It's like the headset is too much work for my pc 😅

Does the wireless ones work any better?

I currently have no mic headset as I wait to decide what to do 😅

I've had the same issues, with the popping noise. While removing all razer "software" (bloatware) helped when this issue arises the second time I turned off all RGB in the headphones and they work flawlessly. I hate razer and I hope their manufacturing plants erupts in flames but this is the only way I've found to make the headphones work.

I found a solution to this on another post, turning the lights off through razer synapse works :)

Hi guys,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing the same problem. Please PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and help you escalate your concern to the relevant team for a replacement request if necessary. Thanks!

I have the same problem as well :(

The Razer Kitty Kraken headset has never worked properly, regardless of the environment it's used in - be it Mac, Linux, or Windows. I've attempted to connect the headset on freshly installed operating systems that were fully up-to-date, but to no avail. Furthermore, the incessant connectivity issues are absolutely unbearable, with the headset constantly connecting and disconnecting. This problem has made the headset practically unusable.

It sounds like there might be an issue with the USB connection or the wire that connects the headset to your laptop.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the USB connection: Make sure that the USB cable is securely connected to your laptop. If it feels loose, try plugging it into a different USB port.

  2. Inspect the wire: Check the wire for any visible damage or wear and tear. If you see any damage, it's likely that the wire is the source of the problem.

  3. Contact Razer Support: If the above steps don't solve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem with the headset. You can contact Razer support to see if they can provide any assistance or repairs.

Overall, it's frustrating when a new device starts showing signs of wear and tear, but it's important to remember that these things can happen with any product. Hopefully, one of the above steps will help you get your headset back in working order.

I’ve turned off the lights on the headset completely and it seems to be working for the past three days.  I’ve joined discord VC and played a game without any disconnecting problems.

Read about this workaround online from others having the same problems and their guess is that there is a “voltage problem” likely caused by Razer’s software and Razer is not fixing it.

Not sure if this is a long-term solution as it’s only been three days, but hopefully it’ll be usable for longer this way.

This is now my 3rd Kraken Kitty headset and the 3rd that has had this issue happen. It’s always every now and again. It’s heartbreaking because it’s now out of warrenty and it’s disgusting it’s been replaced twice yet exactly the same issue is presenting in each. I look after my hardware and treat it with respect, there’s minimal wear and tear. Although it seems to be an issue with the actual headset rather than something I’m doing.

This has put me off ordering another razer headset after being a fan for years.

My Razer Kitty Kraken headphones are having the same issues. Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I can get it to work periodically but the issue has not been resolved by power management of the USB ports or reinstalling Synapse or the drivers.

I have had nothing but issues with the headsets. This is not a good product in the grand scheme of things.

Im also having this issue. have had these headpones for three years now, its gotten worse recently. at the start it rarely happened, but its gotten more frequent over the years. unacceptable for $150 headphones imo. i have the razer kraken kitty edition ones. theyre super cute and it sucks that they do this :(

Same problem here, happening on 3 computers on all USB ports. On Linux Mint I was able to fix it by installing OpenRazer drivers and restarting

MorbidxMouse

Sucks to see this happening so much, doesn't give me much hope that my headset will get better. Mine has just started doing this, to the point where I can't even use it. Disconnects and reconnects so often I can't even have a conversation, or play a game. Cable is intact and USB port is good. I don't know what to do. Is Razer going to do something? These headsets aren't cheap, not like we are made of money

I’ve had my razor kitty headset since Christmas 2021 and they’ve recently started disconnecting a lot with a popping noise. I’m not sure if it’s a razer synapse issue because it’s everytime I move my laptop slightly it disconnects like there’s an issue with the usb/wire that’s broken ?? Is there a way I can fix this if it’s a wire issue ? Kinda upset they’re not even that old and they’re already showing signs of wear and tear :(

Mine is doing the same and I got them January 2023 I’m not sure why,  there is no visible damage to the wire and the usb is fine the headphones also do the same thing with other devices so we know it’s the headphones. Probably going to have to buy different ones.

Literally the same thing has been happening to mine, it started a less than a year ago, I’ve uninstalled, I’ve unplugged, done everything but it just doesn’t seem to do anything. Especially in game, I wouldn’t be able to hear other players talk, only discord works for voice chats for some reason.

OMG. So it’s not just me having the issue????

I got the wired one and now it’s not usable. When I am just licensing, it keep on stopping annoyingly. I can’t even finish one whole some without having the issue.

What’s worse is when I am playing any game, it will just make a stop sound and my game will freeze. I can switch windows and do anything fine on other windows. Only my game will unfreeze after the Razer Kitty comes back.

I got mine since 2020 and this issue started since July this year.

I also have this Problem for more than a Year… I was looking for so many different solucions, but nothing helped. It must be the Headset, because the Razer Kraken Ultimate Headset of my boyfriend works perfectly fine on my PC but my Kitty Headset has the same issue on his PC. Even my games freeze when its reconnecting and this is really frustrating in FPS Shooters.

Pls help

I’m facing the same issue. I see that everyone talking ab this has been facing this issue recently...

thinkDeepCoffeelife744

Constant disconnect, reconnect for these headphones literally make this an issue for these headphones. seems like a software issue as they work good until the razer drivers are installed and then it causes mega issues. Very surprised this hasn’t turned into a lawsuit on these headphones already

Having same issue
I have repeatedly unplugged, kill any Razer process, and reinstalled. Then come here and looking for a solution from Razer. Why is there no official answer on this issue?

One more here with exact the same problem ( Razer Nari ultimate), started today. Its seems to be related to the USB adapter or something because even with all synapse software removed, i can see it disconnecting… Gonna try out the reddit solution...

Update: didnt work
