I’ve had my razor kitty headset since Christmas 2021 and they’ve recently started disconnecting a lot with a popping noise. I’m not sure if it’s a razer synapse issue because it’s everytime I move my laptop slightly it disconnects like there’s an issue with the usb/wire that’s broken ?? Is there a way I can fix this if it’s a wire issue ? Kinda upset they’re not even that old and they’re already showing signs of wear and tear :(
razer kitty headset disconnecting
Yeah, had the same problem. Sent it in for fixing, it worked for a few months then did it all over again. Doesn’t matter where I plug in the headphones, the problem persists. Honestly, the razer kitty headset suckd, don’t buy from here again.
Bumping this issue. Happening to me too, loud clicking and popping noises as though there are connectivity issues. Audio alternates between headphones and laptop at will. The headphones have been owned for almost two years, but hardly used at all. Please respond, Razer. They are unusable.
I am literally having the same issue and i got mine December 2021, returned them January and got the exact same set again and ive been having this issue on and off for months now. Please help us Razer this headset is too cute to be having these issues! :(
same issue here. glad its not just me. using windows 11 and the Synapsys app
Same for my girlfriends headset.
This has been a pain in the ass for some time, but it stopped for a while. Now it reappeared.
WTF Razer?!?!?!
Having the same issue. Issue can be reproduced on two different PC.

Were you able to isolate the issue by testing the headset on a different PC? PM me the serial number and share a copy of your receipt so I can validate its model and check our options. Thank you!

I also have this Problem for more than a Year… I was looking for so many different solucions, but nothing helped. It must be the Headset, because the Razer Kraken Ultimate Headset of my boyfriend works perfectly fine on my PC but my Kitty Headset has the same issue on his PC. Even my games freeze when its reconnecting and this is really frustrating in FPS Shooters.
Pls help
same issue with my razer kraken kitty editon T_T
Sucks to see this happening so much, doesn't give me much hope that my headset will get better. Mine has just started doing this, to the point where I can't even use it. Disconnects and reconnects so often I can't even have a conversation, or play a game. Cable is intact and USB port is good. I don't know what to do. Is Razer going to do something? These headsets aren't cheap, not like we are made of money
Literally the same thing has been happening to mine, it started a less than a year ago, I’ve uninstalled, I’ve unplugged, done everything but it just doesn’t seem to do anything. Especially in game, I wouldn’t be able to hear other players talk, only discord works for voice chats for some reason.
It sounds like there might be an issue with the USB connection or the wire that connects the headset to your laptop.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Check the USB connection: Make sure that the USB cable is securely connected to your laptop. If it feels loose, try plugging it into a different USB port.
-
Inspect the wire: Check the wire for any visible damage or wear and tear. If you see any damage, it's likely that the wire is the source of the problem.
-
Contact Razer Support: If the above steps don't solve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem with the headset. You can contact Razer support to see if they can provide any assistance or repairs.
Overall, it's frustrating when a new device starts showing signs of wear and tear, but it's important to remember that these things can happen with any product. Hopefully, one of the above steps will help you get your headset back in working order.
Hi I had the same problem and I think I found a solution.
Personally my cable tends to get tangled a lot and I think that this created electrical short circuit because the cable touches itself in certain places.
So I have simply used a smooth object to gently pull the cable and untangle it, I haven't had any problems since.
Hope this helps !

Mine is doing the same and I got them January 2023 I’m not sure why, there is no visible damage to the wire and the usb is fine the headphones also do the same thing with other devices so we know it’s the headphones. Probably going to have to buy different ones.
just uninstalled Synapsys. seems to be working fine. tried multiple USB ports. razer need to address this. I need Synapsys to work with Lumia to control my lights. I’m on windows 11 too, I dont know if coincidentally everyone else here is?
I’ve turned off the lights on the headset completely and it seems to be working for the past three days. I’ve joined discord VC and played a game without any disconnecting problems.
Read about this workaround online from others having the same problems and their guess is that there is a “voltage problem” likely caused by Razer’s software and Razer is not fixing it.
Not sure if this is a long-term solution as it’s only been three days, but hopefully it’ll be usable for longer this way.
The Razer Kitty Kraken headset has never worked properly, regardless of the environment it's used in - be it Mac, Linux, or Windows. I've attempted to connect the headset on freshly installed operating systems that were fully up-to-date, but to no avail. Furthermore, the incessant connectivity issues are absolutely unbearable, with the headset constantly connecting and disconnecting. This problem has made the headset practically unusable.
Im also having this issue. have had these headpones for three years now, its gotten worse recently. at the start it rarely happened, but its gotten more frequent over the years. unacceptable for $150 headphones imo. i have the razer kraken kitty edition ones. theyre super cute and it sucks that they do this :(
I'm havinf the same problem… Since last year it keeps conecting and disconecting. Just a click sound...
It’s a power delivery issue. Not sure if you can solve it by putting your mobo on it’s own power rail but if you get a usb power dock with power pass through, it solves the issue. I bought the below hub from Amazon and connected a USB-C cable to it for power. I used a 20w power brick and I t completely solved the issue.
One more here with exact the same problem ( Razer Nari ultimate), started today. Its seems to be related to the USB adapter or something because even with all synapse software removed, i can see it disconnecting… Gonna try out the reddit solution...

Update: didnt work
Having same issue
I have repeatedly unplugged, kill any Razer process, and reinstalled. Then come here and looking for a solution from Razer. Why is there no official answer on this issue?
Same problem here, happening on 3 computers on all USB ports. On Linux Mint I was able to fix it by installing OpenRazer drivers and restarting
