Windows App Volume Control Not Working After Synapse Update

Not switching out for another company simply because I feel I’ve relied/dug my self into so much on Razer and that I don’t really know what others to pick and if they would actually be better and not biased just because Razer is having issues.

I have been communicating with them regularly, I was assured a fix would be implemented in the near future, that was 2 months ago. I recontacted them recently and they seem to be avoiding commenting on the statement their agent made of it being an official issue. They just hound me to download their THX log collector and bug fix for them.

maybe its suing time? we are not hired in any capacity to fix this for razer and tbh i think they need their butt spanked a bit to get back in line...this is getting ridiculous. im a customer not a unpaid intern. 3 months of all of us getting diddled around by “BIIIIIIIG RAZER” lol

 

for real tho im done.  wont ever touch another razer product and ill do my best to drive away anyone i know personally from making the same regretful mistake i made by buying any razer products. only reason im still dealing with this BS is because i dont have cash to buy a brand new decent headset and  a actual mic

 once i have that money RAZER you wont ever see another dime from me or anyone i know so enjoy *tips moderator fedora*

 


Having the exact same issue, makes the headset completely unusable. luckily I bought mine from Amazon and even though I am way over my 1 year return window they have agreed to refund me since Razer have effectively removed an advertised feature (volume/chat Mix) post sale.  just linked the support rep to this thread. bye bye Razer synapse


I had this problem right now, same as you. The only thing that i did is uninstall the THX Audio USB from Installed apps and it worked

I upgraded from my huntsman elite v1 to the V2 because i had a faulty scroll wheel just to find out about this bug. Someone inside razer really doesnt want me to have a properly working volume knob on my keyboard. The weirdest thing is that i programmed my basilisk sensitivity buttons to change volume and that works as it should, but as soon as i try to use the keyboard scroll wheel for it, it just freezes in place.

Razer's entire software lineup needs a complete restart from 0. It's so buggy in the most annoying and inexplicable ways.

I tried it but it didn't work for me :/

There was 2 THX Audio USB and 1 THX V3 APO, i only uninstall the both THX Audio USB and the issue still there.

Update today, 16/07/2024, solved the audio slider issue for me, although the audio slider is delayed before it updates volume it still seems to be functional.

Yea, I still have it. I deleted the THX Spatial Audio USB from the Add/Remove programs, but that just made the EQ and Bass boost etc. stopped working :(

I have tried both Synapse 3 & 4 and the issue still persists.

I have tried numerous suggested fixes throughout the months.
Deleting the THX driver is the only thing that fixes it but in turn it completely disables my custom equalizers. The VLC Player audio slider is also affected. Even streaming on Discord produces static crackling when I have the driver installed.

It’s insane this is still a problem almost an year later after the original post. I’d think very hard before buying another headset from Razer again.

Yeah I am currently using windows sonic audio as a work around, I can then adjust the volume for thx. And it works great when only 1 audio app is open. People says it gives echo when more apps are open but I have not tried it yet

@FiszPL can you help us to forward to razer support this bug? It’s very annoying and this state Synapse V4 is unusable. (And V3 buggy too)

I have found a fix, Uninstall synapse and delete the razer folder from your drive. Then go and download a previous version of synapse or maybe one that you have already downloaded in the past. Remove your headset once you finish unninstalling synapse and dont plug it back until you start installing the older version. Once it will finish installing it will start an auto update that you can either pause or cancel by clicking on the X icon close to it.

Cancel it and restart your pc and your issue should be fixed, just make sure you dont update synapse until a new and better version comes out. 

This is the version i already had and working fine RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.15.0.504

Update : it appears that its not from synapse but more from the thx spacial update they implemented. removing the sound board from the headset and plugin the headset directly fixes the issue but you will not be able to edit your EQ or anything.
 

yeah it works but I paid 100 dollars to use the damn EQ this company is a rip off.
if u mofos see this, your company sucks and so does your support
you stole money from us all.
had this mic for 6 months and synapse only worked for 3 weeks
than after an update it stops detecting in synapse 
it picks up voice in device manager (weirdly wont playback )
but does not pick up voice in any other app or exe
works fine without synapse all this time we still dont have a fix
why TF is this still on the shelves of best buy? amirite? or am I just bitter?

I’ll try to, but also please submit the bug via Razer Synapse (click on profile icon in Synapse → Feedback button) - probably if there will be more the same type cases (bugs) they’ll try to fix it faster.
