Just purchased an Orbweaver Chroma. Which version of Synapse supports it?

Not yet, but I'm pretty sure they will be.
They just did another new update and added a few more things, so I still have hope.

Until I see a timescale from a Razer employee I would be very dubious. Its been over 6 months and still nothing from the audio department. unacceptable behaviour really.

Hi, I have a Razer Naga Epic Chroma too, and I hope it will be supported by synapse 3.0 someday. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the older one, but it will also mean that they will stop support old software after a while.
And the fact that everytime we talk about it, all they can say is they can say nothing at all. Will come back in a year to see if anything has improved

Min announced at the keynote that they are also working on providing support for legacy devices. I say trust Min's words and wait, I'm sure that they are definitely working on it!

Here we are, June 21, 2018.

Based on Synapse 3 Beta in its current state, I'd prefer to get all devices working on the stable Synapse 2 until they work out Synapse 3.
Of course, that's what they should have done in the first place, but.... I guess they are confident in their reputation that they're not worried to dirty it from the mismanagement that is Synapse 3...
6 months now with a hardware product from them that will only work with Synapse 3, yet doesn't work due to bugs, issues and lack of features (compared to Synapse 2).
Maybe they can't afford proper project management and developers. Dunno..
I am eagerly awaiting the Kraken 7.1 V2 and the Naga Epic Chroma, that would make my experience complete because I have to run 2 softwares at the moment due to purchasing the Tartarus V2. Please add the Kraken and Naga soon!
I just had to install Synapse 2 to get support for the ManO'War I just purchased...really wasn't aware that the product was that old? It's still priced at a premium after all...

My BlackWidow V2 and Mamba TE work with Synapse 3; I thought I was done with Synapse 2 when the Mamba TE support was added to Synapse 3. Although I've been having a lot of problems with Synapse 3 lately losing my Chroma settings and not responding to changes and I have to reinstall the application to resolve the issue. At this point I'm not sure which version of Synapse irritates me more with minor annoyances, but I guess it's what you have to put up with to have fancy light up devices synced to each other?

I guess my overall point is I think everyone would settle down if there was at least a public facing roadmap of product/feature support for Synapse 3. I'm assuming that if Razer is following best practices for software development that some type of rough roadmap exists for Synapse, whether it has hard dates or not it would be nice just to take a glance at it. It would at least let us know what the high priority items are, as well as if support for some of our products are ever coming to Synapse 3 in general.

Having a razer naga epic chroma and an ornata chroma, I hope they will expand the supported products. Otherwise, I'll probably never buy anything else from them.

They are not following best practices.

They've released and sold hardware that only could be used on the Synapse 3 software. A software that has been in beta and has had stability and functionality issues to date.
please add wireless razer mamba

I'm new to using Razer products and had I known that I would have to load 2 different versions of their software to run my Huntsman Elite and Mamba Wireless I would have gone with logitech. I sure hope they start supporting all their devices in 1 version or the other as this is dumb to be using 2 different versions at the same time.

Come on Razer add all your current devices to Synapse 3.
hi i need help too, my firefly and deathadder esports had not been detected for quite some time and sending through email to support is super troublesome as attaching all the files already exceeded the filesize limit from gmail. i attached my device manager and synapse 3.0 for reference. only my blackwidow is detected but also falls on the wrong catagory.

I dont get one thing (to dev) if you write there are many hours of time to bring one device to synapse 3 and right now you have mabyby 10% supported why the hell you force people to use 3 as full version this softwere isin stage of open beta and participate of good will, You give as right now mess use two difrent softwere and it's not over you push new devices to buggy softwere give as sh… expiriance we cannot use synapse 2 for new devices becose it dont support devices from 2018. The worst thing you can be in cort if someone buy device before the synapse 3 in many devices on shop was info (selling option) tou can connect all your devices together, share settings and set chroma lights to sync for all your devices or something like that. I say this beta is pain on ass. When you do something like that think twice this way you go is the worst thing you can do.
See the new headline.. Oct 10th "new Flagship in gaming" coming out? So I bet you all of these new shiny toys will be in Synapse 3 and all of the legacy products.. well.. "tough @!#$ just buy the new stuff" will be Razers tag line..
Why do you have to hold down a Button on the naga Trinity to get Hypershift. It would be better to toggle Hypershift On/Off with a button.

Alright folks, I see a lot of speculation and anger in this thread, so I'll try pitching in.

Yes, we're working on adding support for more legacy devices. We added support for 3 older devices to Synapse 3 just this month.

As opposed to the popular belief, we're not holding devices hostage just for the sake of it or because our "1 intern that works on Synapse" is lazy. Synapse 3 requires development from ground up and that takes time. The new products had been in development on Synapse 3 for a few months leading up to their release, the same effort has to go into every single legacy device that we bring on Synapse 3.

The easiest way out for us would be to draw a line and leave all the Synapse 2 devices behind... a driver package already exists for them and no promises were made about Synapse 3 when they were released (Synapse 3 didn't even exist). But that wouldn't be the best experience for existing users who would have to use 2 software to control their devices. And what's not right for our users isn't right for us, full stop. So, we fully committed ourselves to bringing as many Synapse 2 devices to Synapse 3 as feasible (technically and logistically).

But as mentioned before, there is no magic stick that will make devices appear in Synapse 3. A lot of ground-up development and testing work has to go into adding support for legacy devices and it will be a slow process which will take months, but we'll continue working on it well into 2018.

It almost been a year. Kraken 7.1 V2 a pretty popular headset, is not available on the synapse 3.
I work at a Microcenter and just about anyone that comes in for Razer headsets, always gets the Kraken 7.1 V2, so what's the real reason it isn't on the 3?
I got a new mamba elite for my laptop and surprise, it only works on synapse 3.

Bigger surprise, my laptop, core v2, old mamba (the wireless one), and blackwidow only work on synapse 2 and not 3. :???????: At least this was the case in august when I bought the new mamba and installed synapse 3 on my laptop.

Guess I’m not buying any more razer stuff unless I find out before hand it works with synapse 2. Because I’m sure not changing my laptop out again to get synapse 3, it’s brand new not even 2 years old yet...

At least the mamba elite works great without synapse at all.

New devices relese support only synapse 3 older devices that are move sometimes work qith both but for most time work only in synapse 3. If you want to know what devices are supported by synapse 3 you can visit synapse 3 download page you find there a list of devices that are compatibile with this.

Wow, Krakens 7.1 V2 are Synapse 3 compatible?
If yes, they forgot to update their site 😛 Still waiting for my ManO'wars to be included also (and MOAR "legacy" devices, like DA Chroma).

No they're not yet, ahhhh what I wrote does sound weird though, I was trying to say hopefully the Kraken 7.1 V2 and Man O War etc would get onto Synapse 3 soon:eek_:

Guys, does anybody know if Razer Turret is supported by Synapse 3?
I am about to purchase it, but I wouldn't want to have Synapse 2 installed only because of it.
is the small chroma mouse pad supported? the only one listed is the extended but I assume they mean both

i love how the orbweaver chroma isnt supported, but the tartarus v2 is.. somehow the addition of a scrollwheel and the removal of a button makes.. all... the.... difference?

seriously guys this makes no sense at all, especially if the blackwidow chroma's can work, its not an issue of the lighting controller, as im pretty sure you just re-used the same one you already had going the time..
