Is there a link to a previous version of Razer Synapse after all the issues with Version 20231107 (3.8.1031.110202)?
All THX enabled headsets have issues since the last update and cleaning the drivers and running a fresh install do not solve the issues.
My Kraken V3 Pro for example sounds bad when THX is enabled and even worse if you have a game running with THX profiles like competitive or environmental. Stereo is OK - I think.

Just updated Synapse for my Blackshark V2. Totally broken THX spatial audio and all EQ and THX toggle functions are bricked in the app. Total garbage.
Ugh, so my synapse decided to update itself today and now my blackshark v2 sounds like utter garbage. The sound is so bad and disorientating it’s actually nauseating trying to play games. It’s completely unusable right now. Unfortunately windows restore failed so I can’t go back to the good version. Are they actually trying to remedy this? From the comments it looks like this has been an issue for a while now so I’m guessing the chances of it being fixed are non existent.
Anyone have a fix or a way or rolling back to an older version before I give up and go buy a different brand? Synapse has always been a pain constantly deleting all your settings, but this is a whole new level of garbage. Could well be the last straw for me. Poor show Razer, I expected better.
For me the workaround is to disable enhancements in Windows to leave it in Stereo as everything else is pain to the ear.
I doubt there will be a fix anytime soon. I lost my trust and wasn't happy with my Razer Kraken V3 Pro in the first place. So for audio I will look elsewere in the future.

Chiming in to say that my audio device also appears to be “Generic USB Audio” audio enchancement for my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro and no games or programs detect it is a 7.1 audio device like it did before. Therefore I cannot output surround as before and am stuck on Stereo. This needs to be fixed ASAP… totally unacceptable.

I wouldn’t call it working. THX is useless as games with true THX support sound horrible and with THX enabled it still sounds off but since we cannot compare it to previously working version you will not know for sure. For me Stereo still sounds better than the current THX implementation.

They should just rollback it, I can’t not even enjoy music anymore of so bad this sound got with this new version, looks like I have a super cheap headset

No change. Just updated Synapse to 20231123 (no automatic update so I had to go to their website). On THX enabled games it is that bad that it makes you want to cut off your ears.
blackshark v2 user. update only works after rebooting PC. itll be fine for a session, as soon as the computer goes to sleep and wakes up again, all THX settings are lost again and it doesnt work. it stays that way until the PC is rebooted. this never happened with the older version of synapse

This is usually more tricky than it sounds as it involves not only folders but also driver locations, registry settings, correct registration by the installer…
...as the Synaptics installer downloads the files from the internet prior installation, I don’t see a feasible way to install the old driver unless Razer gives us an official previous installer. You can also roll back your windows version but this can lead to other problems I just learned the hard way.

It’s been two weeks now since they broke the sound of our headsets and they did neither officially respond nor offer a viable solution to the issue. They are not even giving us the version which was available prior the update. I know what conclusion I draw in terms of Razer Headsets from now on. Luckily the mice and keyboards are still working fine.
What about the mic settings? My friends on Discord says that I sound terrible, and that didn’t happen before the last update, any ideas how to fix?

I updated to this latest version and saw that it did not work nor did the remote respond well despite having the LED on, so I was decisive.
Uninstall razer sypnase, uninstall everything on my razer pc both windows registry files, appdata, x86 and normal program files and restart my pc. After this I reinstalled sypnase 3 with this latest update and restarted again, I entered sypnase 3 and saw that the led command responded to having thx or not (green LED on and off) now there is no output on the Windows speaker as before thx audio and I configured it in game, which is how the update text was, the thx worked but not my 7.1 sound from my headphones... I went into the configuration of my razer game sound and saw that it only let me configure them in STEREO mode... I looked for some kind of tutorial that could solve only 7.1 on Razer devices and I found a video on YouTube from two years ago... and I solved it. As?
You have to download a type of driver that is on the Razer website (I attach it at the end of this) and activate it, the code that comes on your Razer device when you buy it is for this, (I don't know if they still ask for it) when you activate it you will A tab will appear where you have to choose which device you want to join to that 7.1 and you also choose Razer-game; when you enter windows sounds again you will see that now you can configure your 7.1 sound and when you connect the headphones to your pc you choose the 7.1 sound output since if you set the output as razer-game the thx will work but in stereo but setting the 7.1 surround output you will have 7.1 surround + razer game running at the same time and you can enjoy your 7.1 + thx.

The update itself didn't work for me either, I had to reinstall everything as I explained in the post; deleting each and every one of the folders and parameters of razer
I already contacted support, they said they are trying to fix. no way to get the old version i tried.

I just changed my PC yesterday and went on to install Synapse and not THX. On the Old one THX is still there, given that I did not update Synapse there!
We should be able to download previous versions of the Drivers: Even Apple let’s you do that :).

Update has been released but i think the audio output from thx spatial-synapse device was better, for listening to music but it’s better than THX spatial audio device
