Hi everyone,
Since few days I have a problem with razer central service process. This process use I mean too much of CPU, something around 12% and CPU temperature is to high +/- 45 degrees (normaly I have something about 33)… all in idle. I did windows update rollback - nothing, Razer software reinstalled - nothing.
Maybe someone know, what I can do? this is really annoying…
The same issue. Also having Avast for 15 years, and like 10 years of Razer products. I think this is a CRITICAL issue that should be solved by Razer/Avast ASAP.
Also ich habe mich für Synapse 3.0 zu deinstallieren entschieden.
Da ich es aus der Vergangenheit schon kannte dass Razer Probleme mit den Treibern hatte.
Und ich somit zwischen Avast oder Razer entscheiden musste.
Ja Avast ist nicht perfekt, gebe ich zu.
Doch ist es komisch dass die Probleme erst mit der Update von Razer kam.
Und für mich auf der Hand lag das Razer bezogene Software das Problem verursacht.
Ja es kann auch Avast dran beteiligt sein.
Wäre geil wenn alle hier mal schreiben würden was für eine Antivirus Software ihr benutzt um zu schauen ob es echt nur Razer mit Avast ein Problem gibt.
Möchte beides wieder zusammen nutzen können.
Hoffe wir bekommen raus woran es liegt.
Und es kann schnell gefixt werden.
Und ja die Profil Macros und Co liegen auf dem Speicher der Maus.
Kurz um Die RGB macht nur ihr Standartlicht.
Aber der Rest funktionier bei meiner Basilisk V3 Pro ohne Probleme, also auch zocken mit 2,4GHz-Funk.
Ok just did the same and uninstalled Avast and all’s normal now….
I hope with all this info they can find a fix so i can reinstall it again soon.

Come on, we didn’t bought Razer mouses and keyboards just because they look cool. We bought this expensive things because we use macros and profiles to different games.
What’s the point of this, if we need to disable Razer Central Service ? Better find some cheap mouse…
And I’m using Avast since like...15 years, so I would prefer to keep it too...
Why has Razer still not fixed the Synapse high CPU issue??!!!…
Come on razer programers team, make our experience better again, let’s spent your precious time to improve your codes and release a good update to fix this !… ;) PLZ

Mesmo problema aqui, computador com altas temperaturas, variando de 75 a 95 graus. Aconteceu após atualização do razer e do windows 1.

its NOT the antivirus. there are other users reporting this problem who have completely different antivirus programs. theres a guy on one of these threads who reported he has avg, another indicated they’re using -shudders- mcafee.
Same issue. But my computer was about to blow up my intel i5 9600kf has gone to a 100% process becaouse of this razer aplication it was taking away 99.8% of all processes. Razer needs to fix it if they don’t im switching to some other better business that don’t have that issue! This is inexcusable and should never happen. I’ve had a lot of stress and I didin’t know if that was a virus or something else that realy slows and burdens my computer

Genau mein Gedanke, das es nicht Avast ist sondern Razer eigene Software. Wie schon mal erwähnt dass gab es schon mal vor paar Jahren genau das selbe Problem. Übrigens macht Razer Central Service schon über Jahre immer mal Probleme. Habe mit diversen Leuten geredet die ich so kenne. Und alle die Razer benutzen bestätigen das momentane Problem und das es über Jahre hin weg immer mal Probleme mit Synapse, Synapse 2 und Synapse 3 hatten oder aktuell noch haben.
Why is razer such garbage. I bought this thing over alientware or other power laptops thinking it would be great. The garbage management software is just a deal breaker with the 20-30% cpu usage constantly.
I will never buy another one of these. I’ve had $1000 laptops with integrated graphics perform better than my Razer 15….

Exactly my thought that it is not Avast but Razer's own software. As mentioned before, there was exactly the same problem a few years ago. By the way, Razer Central Service has been causing problems for years. I talked to various people I know. Und nur weil es dieses (oder ähnliches) Problem schonmal vorkam schließt es ein Problem mit dem AV-Programm Null aus. Die werden ständig weiterentwickelt, und bereits (augenscheinlich) behobene Bugs kommen wieder zum vorschein.

Found this workaround from Avast forum. It worked for me. Better than uninstalling either one of software. This wars3.exe runs in background.

remember that period of about a week, a year ago, when avast was flagging amazon as malicious?

Also bei mir fing das mit dem Razer Software Problem nach einem Razer Update an, was ich selber in der Synapse 3 Software mit dem Button Update gestartet hatte. Da ich es von Logitech noch gewohnt bin ein Update mit Anstupsen starten zu müssen, da dass Auto-Update nicht immer 100% funktionierte. Und erst nach dem Razer was meinte Installieren/Updaten zu müssen fingen bei mir die Probleme an. Also kann ich nicht sagen ob da AV damit zutun hat oder nicht. Fest steht noch Razer Update ging es los Probleme zu verursachen. Und da erst nach dem Update die Software von Razer einen Fehler Verursachte. Stand für mich fest Razer Software Deinstallieren. Ob nun da noch AV dran beteiligt ist, stand für mich zu dem Zeitpunkt außer Frage. So und bei mir in Deutschland wurde also Amazon nicht als Bösartig von Avast betroffen.

Your Antivirus software will protect you the way it does for other threats. I have scanned this .exe in Avast and tried it with different antivirus software in sandbox. None of them identified this as a threat.
Eventually choice is always yours.
