Razer Peripheral (Mouse) Stopped working after MacOS Big Sur Update

Prior to following this guide from user: Avaddon - https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/649829?answerId=646433022#646433022

I had similar issues to most people. After updating the OS Synapse 2.0 was unable to recognise the device. I followed Avaddon's guide and to my surprise the software detected the mouse. However, I was unable to assign buttons using the keyboard function. No buttons I pressed were recognised and the 'ok' button was greyed out.

+The basic functions were still working, of course. But you don't spend hundreds of pounds on a mouse, which has more than 12 buttons, to use it for its 'basic' functions.

I'm wondering if the keyboard security function, brought about by the Big Sur update, is preventing this and question if there is another command which would help bypass/allow its free use.

I hope I made sense! Sorry and thank you :(

Hallo, I have the same or similar problems. At me I cannot get Synapse work on Big Sur. Synapse tells me all times PLEASE CONNECT A RAZER SYNAPSE ENABLED DEVICE.
Razer synapse 2 only works with mac os 10, not 11 ???
Same problem
PLZ fix this plz
Mac OS users were waiting for an official update of synapse2 or the release of Synapse3 for Mac OS but you don't give us any kind of support, I think Razer has to remove the seal of "Mac OS support" from your devices.

Many of us bought this products just because that seal. I think we need an official announce about this to change our devices to Logitech or some other truly supported devices.

Meaning while I could recommend you Karabiner-elements to remap your keyboards, unfortunately this doesn't work for Razer mice.
My BlackWidow stopped being detected by synapse 2 after updating to Big Sur too. This is a disrespect to all customers that bought the products believing in the Mac compatibility, they give us a legacy software with no updates whatsoever to maintain the Mac support seal that they place in their products.
I mean I think at this point, it's fair to say that Razer isn't going to release Synapse 3.0 for Mac. It was released in 2017. If it was going to be ported, it would have. Also, 2.0 was already garbage in Catalina (the whole having to unplug and replug devices after every boot), and now it's just completely broken in Big Sur (without some Recovery Mode hacking). I'm not willing to go through those steps to get a crappy product working. I'll just use Karabiner Elements for my keyboard, and lose speciality buttons on my mouse.

Mac isn't Razer's priority, they never will be (since it's not a primary gaming platform), and I've seen enough Mac related threads on here with ZERO engagement from Razer to know it's a lost cause at this point. As a software dev, I get it. There's only so much time in the day, but I'd view them in a much better light if they just publicly said they don't support Mac, rather than claiming they do to sell more product, when in fact, they make devices that sure might work with a Mac, but none of the extra features will. For example, my Kraken headphones have features that only work with Synapse 3, meaning I'll never see that feature. I've always appreciated Razer's products, all the way back when I picked up my Razer Boomslang 2000, but since I'm on a Mac platform now, its probably just time to move to a different company.
I have an Ornata Chroma keyboard and the latest version of Synapse on MacOS does NOT recognize my hardware. This sucks, because I am stuck with the default lighting and can't use the volume controls, etc..
If razor is serious about selling products to Mac users, they should fix this in a big hurry....I'll add my name to the list of people who's Razor product stopped working with the MAC update....
Just bought the latest IMac. Already looking for a other mechanical keyboard. Synapse wasn’t great to begin with and now it’s not working at all. Still not fixed either. After the PS4 controller debacle and now this I can’t take this company serious anymore.
Same, issue..
I have a same problem with mouse and pad Razer... PLEASE CONNECT A RAZER SYNAPSE ENABLED DEVICE. :frown_:
Please fix this problem...
Same issues here with Naga Chroma.
Razer, will you need 5years to make Synape 3 on Mac ?
Please fix the glitch in the app! I have just bought numerous products from you and I want to customize them! Thanks!!
I have the same issue with my DeathAdder v2 mouse. I am running a macOS big sur. But my app is a fresh install for the first time. I did not have Razer app on my Catalina. Please fix this issue, I don't want to try Avaddon method.

I got an update, now it works, but I have to disconnect and reconnect the mouse and the keyboard after every boot. Sometimes it starts to work after reconnecting the USB cables (7 out of 10), sometimes I have to open the Synapse app too (3 out of 10).
please fix this. it is very inconvenient.
Just bought a ornata chroma keyboard and found out that the mac compatibility was a big fat lie. It's a nice keyboard but there's so much that I can't do with it so thanks for nothing Razer
Same issue here, my mouse is not being recognized in Big Sur. Shouldn't Razer have thought about this beforehand?

They were "not" working on that for more than 5 years. The worst customer service indeed
Yep! Something is broken on Big Sur. I did a clean install and when I want to log in the Synapse app it's just stuck at the "VERIFYING YOUR ACCOUNT..." part

Same thing happen to me...I tried to uninstall and re install and a nothing 😞
If don't want to give us more support them release the synapse 2 code so someone could take care of your customers.
I've got the Tartarus & have the same issue. Apple does this every release. In the system logs when I try to open Synapse, I see

Prompting policy for hardened runtime; service: kTCCServiceAppleEvents requires entitlement com.apple.security.automation.apple-events but it is missing for accessing={identifier=com.razerzone.RazerSynapse, pid=29724, auid=501, euid=501, binary_path=/Applications/Razer Synapse.app/Contents/MacOS/Razer Synapse}, requesting={identifier=com.apple.appleeventsd, pid=508, auid=55, euid=55, binary_path=/System/Library/CoreServices/appleeventsd},

Razer needs to configure the App Store provisioning profile with this entitlement then build / sign with this cert. Until a new update is released with this signing, this problem will continue for all.
