I'm considering to buy the advanced model.
But I couldn't finde out if the 2070 super max q ist the 80w or 90w version. Does someone know?
Because the framerates would probably be a bit higher according to benchmarks with the 90w version.

Another thing I couldn't find out: is the RAM and the SSD easy replaceable or does this need a lot of knowledge?
Thanks!

It’s maxed 95 watt, depends on Synapse performance profil, don’t have it but users on Reddit said so.
It’s pretty easy, to upgrade it beside tools and hardware you only need internet and YouTube I think.

This was hard one to pass up... I'm holding up until the holidays. Any possibility of a refresh keeps me waiting patiently

I’m with you, tiger lake and Ampere would be my next Blade. Unless they put super huge discount on super maxq model like recently on base 2019 in Amazon I’ll be weak:big_grin_:

Don't you have to be able to run the games at 300 fps to take advantage of a 300 Hz display? What is the advantage over a 144 Hz display?

Let alone noticing the increase in frame rate/refresh rate.

Is this coming with the optical keyboard switches?
Or which one has those?
Hey does anyone know if the Thunderbolt 3 on the RB Base 2020 model supports charging?

Does the base model have the oled screen?

You can get the "base" model with an OLED screen, however it is an upgraded base model and costs more than the lowest end model (comes with upgraded GPU and SSD).

I can search the pink quartz one in the search bar and it says it is available right before clicking buy now. after I click buy now. there is no configuration for the razer blade 15 in quartz pink with the specs I need. it is way better than the stealth 13. it can handle streaming and gaming way better than the 13 inch laptop. wondering if anyone has any answers.
Hey guys,

Anyone know exactly how the battery in the Blade lineup does when plugged in and powered on 24/7? Will it constantly drain battery while recharging it or is there any way in BIOS or software to set it in a "passthrough" type mode so power from the AC charger doesn't hit the battery? I'm worried that if I get one, there's a chance keeping it on 24/7 as a desktop replacement will wear the battery.

I've been thinking about getting the 15" to replace my current desktop (ryzen, 2070) + laptop (samsung notebook 9) combo.

On the Base model of the Blade 15, do you think it's possible to put a heatsinked NVME ?

I read somewhere here that someone got a very flat heatsink, something like this (I'm not recommending this, just showing as an example)
Maybe they launch it in India,I can get one.

Wouldn't it be futuristic if we could get them all packed into one spiffy device?
I sure don't want to lug two more things in my backpack.

It's getting harder to find desktop cases that even have the option for an optical drive. Sure they're not for everyone, but I require them.

Unfortunately gaming laptops nowadays need better cooling, adding those means additional heat, thanks to intel and nvidia that still keep big 14nm and 12nm Chips on more powerful chip, AMD btw is already doing 7nm both cpu and gpu. Adding those internal numpad and physical drive means also have to make bigger cooling room that means bigger unit that against blade laptops categories which’s on thin light one. That maybe depends on user cases, personally I prefer as pheriperal since I don’t always use it on the go, I use indeed external mechanical numpad for my excel work and dvd driver (kind of not same brand since I got from amazon de) for media consumption or installing things that still need physical cd/dvd.

Depends of the thickness, but I’d recommend buying something without it and use thermal tape that costs like under €10 six pack, it reduce max temperature like 30 to even 40 degrees compared without, in fact some blade 15 model actually come with it not quite sure with current one, though I didn’t see on notebookcheck review unit base blade 15 mercury Oled rtx 2070maxq 144Hz, what a long naming;)
