Keyboard looks the same based on spec.

No info on the 16gb variant on the 3080.

Note that the QHD 240 has the new nvidia optimus and G-sync.

Im actually stuck with the decision on whether to wait out the 11th gen intel CPU or not. as this pre order will only ship in march 2021.


Thank you so much for all of the responses. From my research, I believe the 4k version does indeed have 16gb of Vram ... but have not been able to confirm.

If anyone knows about the audio and Keyboard I would be interested in any additional info.

I have the 17 pro running 32 GB RAM running at 3200mhz (confirmed by HWINFO).

Thank you. I purchase HyperX memory that is said to be confirmed to work with it.

as far as i know, intel systems does not support anything more than 2933mhz ram natively due to CPU locking by intel. OC of ram is only restricted to high end desktop processors and MB using XMP. Thus on the laptop anything more would technically be a waste

Crazy that a laptop of this profile can still house RTX 30 series graphics. that's the part that blows my mind.

Does the new 17" Pro 4k version have all of the same features as the 15" advanced? The description on the website doesn't seem to list everything the same.
Does 17" allow charging through USB C ports?
Does 17" have the same quality audio?
Is the 17" keyboard as good as the 15" keyboard (looks like they have different descriptions)
And .. has anyone 100% confirmed that the 4k version has 16gb vram on the 3080?

Lastly, the storage upgradability. It shows that it has a 1tb m2 drive in both 15 and 17" as well as an open m2 slot, yet the 17" also lists sata and pcie support. Does this mean you can have more than the 2 m2 hard drives? Can you have 2 M2 hard drives and a sata drive?
