I wanted to ask for tips and suggestions for anyone with a similar build on what settings you guys are using in Throttlestop. CPU temp limit is at 100c but I'm not really comfortable with my temps going over 90c every time I play intense games like Apex and Witcher 3. Specs: i7-8750H Geforce RTX 2060 (6GB) 16GB RAM I have watched a few good Undervolting videos on my CPU and GPU and Razer laptops but I'm still getting bad thermal temperatures. Below are my Throttlestop settings, my CPU Cache's Offset Voltage is at -125v so don't worry, I just tried going -350v with my core since my temps are constantly hitting 90c but, I'm unfortunately, It didn't make any difference.
Hey everyone, I own the Razer Blade Stealth touch screen with specs of Intel core i7 - 7500U 2.7 GHz/3.5 GHz (base/turbo) 16GB LPDDR3 RAM 12.5inch 4K touch display (3,840 x 2,160) 512GB SSD 1 x USB 3.1 port 2 x USB 3 port 1 x HDMI I am planning to buy 144hz monitor either Zowie Benq or Viewsonic as my external display. How will I be able to get the refresh rate to 144hz? Is using HDMI cable enough or do I need DVI adaptor? Is the specs on this machine enough to output 144hz for playing a rythm game called osu! I usually get 106 fps on osu....
Just got my blade about a week ago, love it so far. Does anyone else notice a very minor coil whine when connecting an external monitor to the USB-C port on the right side next to the HDMI and USB port. Perfectly quiet when connected to the USB-C on the left.
I'm between the horns of a dilemma I'm undecided between the base model vs. advanced, so perhaps folks here can chime in on their thoughts. The base level (144hz + RTX 2060) - its less expensive, but includes a capable RTX 2060, and room for a second drive. the downsides so far seem to be that Razer is using a display panel that has PWM - not a fan of that to be honest. Regarding the Advanced, there's a better keyboard (optical), better display panel (240Hz), faster processor but less expandable and in the 2,500 dollar range. Then there's 2020, and the unknown of when Razer may roll out an update, Spec update, or maybe move over to AMD like some, tough wouldn't that mean no ThunderBolt?
I decided to replace the paste on my blade today with Artic Silver 5, I ran out of the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut! and decided not to use LM on this laptop as I am pretty sure the heat sink is copper plated not full Copper.
Hey guys, sry for my bad english. I hope you get my problem. I like the Notebook much, but the fact that the display goes automatily darker when the content ist dark makes me wild. Where can i turn this "feature" off? Thx for your help.
Hi My Razer laptop is not charging, I have tested the charger output with multimeter and it's showing 13.1, where it should show 19.5 W.Can anyone please suggest if the laptop is not charging at all because of this particular reason. Regards, Venkat Godithi
So I just purchased a 2019 blade 15 mercury white, 240hz, 9750, 2070 max q. One week into using the laptop, I left my computer to go to the other room, come back in to see the screen doesn't work whatsoever. It is mostly black and flickers all over the place (see pictures). There is no "wear and tear" on the laptop as I have unboxed it, put it on my desk, and it hasn't left this position. When I plug an external monitor in and use the fn keys to use the secondary display only, the computer works. It is only on the laptop screen itself that it goes crazy like this. Does this look like something I need to get a refund or send in, or is there some loose wiring fix that can likely be done?
Hey guy, ok... Straight to the point. My laptop razer blade 17 inch got small chipped at the front panel and it shown shinny metal. Is there any way to fixed it? Like spray paint on it? I don't know the color code of the black matte color, anyone here ever done this before? Any recommendation? Thanks
So I picked up a new 15" Advanced with optical keys on Amazon. The sale price of 2450 was hard to beat. I threw on the Amazon extended warranty/accidental care. I've only had the laptop a little while, and I'm still loading software and games, but here's some of my observations. Fit and finish, this is a thing of beauty, Very Mac like (in a good way), it feels solid the speakers are wonderful - I'm coming from a laptop where the speakers are pointed down - that never made sense to me. Ports - Decent, I'd say the only thing that I wished it had was a SD card reader. internal expansion - I si Internal expansion - a little disappointing only from the fact that base RB 15 has a NVMe and Sata connector, but the advanced only a single NVMe. It would have been nice to see two NVMe - maybe that's what we'll see in the 2020 update The keyboard - the chroma on the keyboard is great. My thinkpad's backlighting considered be poor at best.. One thing that irks me is that on the optical k
I had to reinstall windows on my 2017 Razer stealth and I'm not seeing the audio software that originally came pre-installed that allowed me to do sound presets and stuff. It made my speakers sound a lot better too. Does anyone know what it's called so I can download it??
As the title states, My windows machines usually come with Pro and I do like the idea of having bitlocker but I'm not sure if its worth it just for bit locker. Have any of you upgraded to Pro? What your reasoning to stick with Home or upgrade to Pro? Or you haven't really given it any thought and you just use the machine ‾\\_(ツ)_/‾
Just received my Blade and suddenly during Windows Update Installation, the following sound appears while the fan had very low rotation: After I restarted the Blade this sound was gone and the fans sound normal now for over 2 hours. What could be the issue here? Should I better return it? Here is the video with the sound: https://we.tl/t-BE1wbCYpdv
Hi everyone and HAPPY VALENTINE day I own the v1 RBS and its been 4 years now there is some dirt underneath the keys when i press them it feels horrible any ideas how to clean them ??
Hi Blade Owners, I was just wondering if anyone else have ever experienced this same problem and how to solve it. For around 2 months now, I began to notice my Razer laptop reset and restart the boot cycle 2-3 times during a cold boot before loading Windows 10. (The keyboard and led indicator will light up, then off) I suspect that this was due to system time not being correct that caused this problem because everytime this happens and windows 10 loads, it would be the time that I last used and shutdown the laptop. Even if i try loading the BIOS, the time will be the time of shutdown as well. It will be this way for about half a minute until the time and date auto corrects itself over the internet. And if I am not connected to the internet, it will just continue to display the wrong time. Another thing I would like to add is that, if i shutdown the laptop and boot it up again within a few minutes, this will not happen. And sometimes if I leave the charger plugged in while the laptop
Hey everyone, just wanted to know if anyone was experiencing the same issues. I've applied several BIOS updates to my Razer. Most of them were smooth, but the last two caused problems that may force me to send to RMA for fixing. 1) Spectre / meltdown update The update effectively patched the vulnerability, but in turn my Razer does not "sleep" anymore. Every time I send my Razer to sleep it hangs, I have to force shutdown. 2) Single click update (EC) This update effectively patched my BIOS, but now every time I use my Razer to game (use the discrete card), it discharges the battery (at a very very slow pace). It seems that power is not enough anymore to keep the battery at 100%. Both problems still persist after months. I've talked to support and responses were mixed. In the case of 1) first they admitted this was an issue some people were experiencing; but, in later exchanges they say this was not something that other people were reporting. In the case of 2) support never admitt
I bought a 2019 razer blade stealth unit and the camera seems to work only for 3 seconds or so.
Heyo all - Loving this refurbished laptop overall but I wanted to confirm its performance because I'm not so sure it's doing grrrreat. Running the i7 9th gen 240hz 2080 max q mid 2019. I play 2 games currently, Wow Classic and League. I use ultra settings for both Wow Classic - in a semi populated IF I'm getting ~80 frames. Densely populated (all those needy guilds waiting for Onyxia in stormwind) it's dropped down to like 20 or so. It was awful. - Note, if my max processor state in Power Options is set to 100% i see a bit of Power Throttling - is that bad? Razer has recommended this be set to 80% League of Legends - ultra for all settings getting about 140. Benchmarks I run. Now I have my synapse set to high performance. I have my max processor state to 100. - Superposition, 1080p Extreme 4876 - 5000 - Superposition, 1080p Medium 15617 - Timespy - 7324 - Firestrike - 17757 - Heaven 4.0 - 3245 with FPS 128.8 What are ya'll thoughts? Love any feedback.
Hello there, I've been using RB15 for two weeks in my work now. I've noticed that fans kicks in and makes noticeable noise when I plug my external monitors (through Thunderbolt, but the issue also occurs on mini DP and HDMI port). When I check the displays, Windows tells me that internal display is going through Intel GPU and the external displays are going through the discrete graphics (RTX 2060). The temps of the GPU are fine, with and without the external monitors connected (around ~40). So I figured that the 1% load on the discrete GPU is making the fans loud, and I cannot control that (Razer Synapse allows me to slow down the fans to 4200 RPM, which is louder). I tried to control the fans using NBFC but there's no config for Blade 2019 (https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/issues/823). Are you aware of any fan control software which might help me? I can't work on this laptop if it's that loud.
Hello everyone,, I have been taking some thermal measurements for my new Razer Blade 15 and am curious what other owners have been experiencing. Basically, I'm looking to see whether what I'm seeing with my Blade is normal or if it's running unusually hot. All temperatures are in Celsius. All tests were run with the laptop elevated so as to ensure a clear airflow. snaptube.cam/ Benchmark https://syncnet.onl/telegram-web/ Idle CPU temp (average): 43.4 Idle CPU temp (max): 61 9apps Prime95 & Furmark CPU test temp (average): 89.8 Prime95 & Furmark CPU test temp (max): 94 Gaming CPU temp (average): 86.8 Gaming CPU temp (max): 100 Prime95 & Furmark GPU test temp (average): 81.3 Prime95 & Furmark GPU test temp (max): 86 Gaming GPU temp (average): 80.6 Gaming GPU temp (max): 87 Undervolted Idle CPU temp (average): 42.7 Idle CPU temp (max): 61 Prime95 & Furmark CPU test temp (average): 88.8 Prime95 & Furmark CPU test temp (max): 93 Gaming CPU temp (average): 82.7 Gaming CPU temp (max):
Translator: Hi Why doesn't Razer build And CPU into its computers? Would sound great by name: Ryzen and Razer. AmD's CPU is at min. as strong, if not better, than some Intel CPUs. To the cheaper and graphic power is here also air up. Would be cool if they would also make one when introducing new devices, with AMD. What do you think of it? Hi Warum baut Razer keine Amd CPU in seine Computer? Würde doch auch vom Namen her super klingen: Ryzen and Razer. Was haltet ihr davon?
Im getting my stealth tomorrow and want to test if the laptop is faulty considering that Razer may not have the best QC since they send many faulty laptops for sale. Im definitely excited but just want to make sure it's A-OK, any help would be appreciated! :smile_:
Looking for an owner of Razer Blade Pro 2019 with 1080p 144Hz RTX 2060 / 2070 Max-Q / RTX 2080 Max-Q, which can post what display panel manufacture is used in his laptop. Thanks.
I wanted to purchase razercare, but I see the page says it’s unavailable. Seems strange.
