I’m interested in getting the RBS 2019 with the intel iris integrated GPU. My main goals are having a powerful computer that can last me for a while and has decent battery life (8 hours or so) with normal use. My use case is NOT gaming on the go. I’m thinking of pairing this computer with an eGPU for gaming. Points for the intel iris: - 25W CPU - Longer battery life - Better thermal profile, does not get as hot as the full GTX 1650 version. My question is whether I am doing myself a disservice by not getting the GTX 1650 version, seeing as how its just $100 more (with bigger HD too). I know the dGPU can be disabled, but can I expect to see similar power consumption as the intel iris version if I disable the dGPU most of the time? I’m seeing mixed results on this with reviews since everyone seems to have a different battery testing methodology. Planning to run linux on this, if that matters.
Hi, i have a razer blade 15 advanced model purchased this year. I would like to increase the brightness or definition of the screen more than it is allowded by windows itself, if it is possible. What i mean is that if i compare my screen with a MS surface laptop's or macbook pro's screen i notice a huge difference. I am not a pro, and i have a doubt if i just need to change a specific setting. thanks!
Razer Blade Stealth owner here. On the edge of the laptop, I have very small, almost unnoticeable silver chips where the black paint has gone away. Is it possible to paint over that? If so, do you know any specific product or color to be used?
I'm stuck in a rather sticky situation. I have been having issues with my Razer Edge Pro for about 6 months now with my Nvidia graphics card randomly disappearing. Unable to resolve the issue and no longer able to send it to Razer for repairs, I decided to file a claim on it using my DirecTV Protection Premier Plan. In a nutshell, the terms of the plan state that if they are unable to repair my device, they will offer me a replacement of equal or slightly greater value or a check for the current market value of the device if I don't like the replacement options. After nearly a month of waiting, I learned they were not able to repair the tablet because they said the motherboard needs to be replaced and it can no longer be purchased. I just got my replacement options and they are very disappointing. At first, they offered me a Microsoft Surface with only 4 GB of Ram and 64 GB of memory. When I pointed out the Razer Edge Pro had 8 GB of Ram and at least 128 GB SSD, they offered me the NM
Hello Roughly 18 months ago I started a new job that requires 1 - 2 weeks a month of travel, because of this I decided to purchase a razer blade pro. Works great for traveling but now I want to find a good solution for at home. When home I have it hooked up to my TV for single player games but the only problem is the laptop is so loud once I launch a game. It can be kind of a mood killer during cutscenes and quiet sections listening to the super loud fans. I also have a desktop downstairs that I use for multi-player games that I used to use s steam link with to play on the TV but wanted better quality. I am looking to find out if, A) Do solutions exist for making a laptop less noisy? B) Should I look at getting a Core X? Are these loud as well? Will the load being shifted make the laptop less noisy? I like core idea as I can swap my desktop gpu between the TV and desktop. C) For less noisy setup should I just go back to having a console? (would rather not)
Had some questions on this over the past 18 months or so on how best to upgrade and what to buy. The procedure and methodology should be the same for any make or model. There are some good tips along the way that everyone should at least get something out of it. Here is a list of times and events for specific points should you want to go straight to them. Hello. I'd like to buy a Razer Blade 15 and I have an issue regarding GPU choice, as obvious as this sounds. Which is better the RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 Max-Q? The 2070 theoretically sounds better but I've been finding conflicting benchmarks and want a clear cut answer. Also is the 2060 the same as a desktop 2060? Thanks.
I just as of late obtained a razer sharp edge 15 2019 base model, and Windows Hello facial recognition isn't working. It says "We couldn't discover a camera good with Windows Hello." I have been looking on the web for arrangements and it appears that running the webcam driver in similarity mode fixes this, in any case, I can't discover the driver arrangement bundles for this webcam online so as to introduce the drivers in similarity mode.
As the title states, I want to know if it is normal for the Blade to get pretty hot when playing games while plugged in. When it is not plugged in, it runs warm and never hot. When it is plugged in though...holy moly is it HOT. Is this normal? If I prefer to game with it plugged in, will it be bad for the computer in the long run? First gaming PC here so I am not very familiar to these thing. Any advice helps!
Apparently Razer changed the 144hz panel used in their Blade 15 lineups cause I got my unit for a few days. They used to use an LG panel LP156WFG-SPF2 / LGD05C0 until maybe mid 2019 when they swapped it with NV156FHM-N4K / BOE0804 from BOE, the thing about this panel tho, is that it does NOT have a 100% sRGB coverage which Razer clearly advertises on their website for their 144hz models. Details about this panel: http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N4K_BOE_15.6_LCM_parameter_37089.html I did download and check the datasheet of BOE0804 and after some simple calculation with the RGB coordinates, its proved that color gamut is pretty limited at about 95% sRGB(Unfortunately I dont own a pro calibrator, but the point still stands). I know its all about marketing but I am just not really happy about it. I can see if you do it when the number is closer enough like maybe a 98%, but 95%? Man, thats a bit too off isn’t it? Also, the previous LG panel from what I heard is really good, optical featur
So I was trying to connect my razer blade stealth to my iMac with an HDMI to my razer and a thunderbolt to my mac. My razer doesn't seem to recognize the HDMI even though it is plugged in. I am trying to Display my razer to my mac. Please help and Thank you!
Hello everyone, just bought the Razer Blade 15.6in base model FHD 144Hz i7 9750H RTX 2060 512GB SSD (RZ09-03006E92-R3B1) The only game i play is CS GO and everything is fine and quiet until i plug it, then it becomes really loud ! i get also much more FPS it goes from 60/70 unplugged to +200 when plugged, i don't see any difference when gaming so i would be fine if can can somehow reduce the heat and the fan speed. Should i undervolt my CPU an if yes, how? and should i disable turbo boost? Thanks
bought a core X recently. Can’t use the gpu on my bootcamp. Tried many methods but they are not working. Razercore X Card: MSI rx 5700 2018 15in Macbook Pro Windows 10 home
Hey guys Just got my blade and the first thing i did was upgrade the SSD. Stupidly i didnt save the color profile. Hi, Just received the laptop and I have a couple of questions regarding HDR. Does the display actively display any messages when HDR content is being displayed? When turning HDR on in Win 10, the display becomes noticeably dimmer - is this normal? Does HDR need to be on in Win 10 for HDR content to display correctly (i.e. in HDR mode) or does it kick in regardless? Hopefully someone can help. Apologies if repeat topic. Thanks
Hello everyone, first time poster on here! I've been using my Blade 2019 since May of this year, but I only recently started to use it heavily for gaming. I noticed that the performance on this device is not what I was expecting from an RTX 2060 machine. Many benchmarking websites online claim this (RTX 2060 mobile) to be better than a desktop 1060, but even when playing semi-demanding games I get a lot of lag. I've tried a lot of things, like setting the power options to be 'Best performance', setting my display to 60Hz, and even tried to reset my laptop's graphics settings. I've seen people talk about BIOS unlocking, but I really don't want to delve that deep into the settings. I just want to know if there's some trick I don't know about that can help me get the most out of my machine. Any insight is appreciated, thank you!! P.S. I'm including a picture of my score for Unigine Superposition (6254 @ 1080P medium), which is basically half of what others are getting.
I just wanted to see if anyone else was having issues with the touchpad on the Razer Blade Stealth Ice Lake. I bought the Elite Care plan so it should be covered but wanted to see if this is a common issue since these are the laptops that I have chosen to issue to employees of my company. The issue I am seeing is when I rest my right hand where the palm is touching the space to the right of the touchpad and try to two-finger-scroll, scrolling gets all glitchy. Pretty much any pressure to the right of the pad will do it. I tried to make a video that captures the issue here: Video of touchpad issue
I was wondering if an upgrade on my new Blade 13 stealth would void warranty if performed by a professional. Just the SSD and/or the RAM, nothing too invasive. ,
Hmm... it's been awfully quite here of late... I guess everyone's getting ready for CES 2020. https://ces20.mapyourshow.com/8_0/floorplan/?hallID=D&selectedBooth=21000 What's in store from Razer? New concepts? Or an actual product? I'm still waiting for a non-mercury RTX Studio Blade Pro... ;^)
I have had my Advanced since June and have had a lot of success with it so far and its performing well with games, apps, programs etc. However, whenever I play PUBG I get temps between 90-100celcius. I was told by Razer support NOT to undervolt but to lower a few things like settings, power processor management, etc. This has not changed temperatures on pubg. In Razer Synapse, Ive even put the fans to full cold and used a heat pad. I guess my question is for longevity. My games are not throttling and im getting pubg on high settings at 140fps + consistently. Does anybody have a fix for this issue?
My new Blade 15 1660 ti 200w power adapter came damaged right out of the box. Under Accessories, it lists a 200w compatible with the GTX 1060. Would this be the correct adapter for the 1660 ti as well? Regards. -Rizzo
Hi Everyone! i've just bought my first razer laptop ever a 2014" 14" blade! (i7, 870M, 8/512) i switched from a 15" touchbar macbook pro, because i lost my job and i had to sell the thing. So far i love it, it was dirt cheap, around 350 USD. But there is a problem with it. It has a rly bad cooling solution. I've repasted it with liquid metal, it gets better, but i have to ramp up the fans to 100%, because i dont want the GPU or the CPU to drop clocks while i play battlefield 3. So the problem starts from here. I can only control the fans with an application called NoteBook FanControl. I found an .XML file on a forum, and i had to put it in the folder of the application, since then i can control the fans, but there is one issue: my blade turns itself off in every 30-40 minutes, by itself! Its not overheating for sure, today for example, ive only watched movies, and it was still present. i uninstalled the application, it fixes the crashes, but then i cannot control the fans. The machine
I just bought my Blaze 15 from Canada, but I live in Europe.. Where can I get an Original AC Adapter, only the cable that connects to the power, not the whole AC.
Hi Razer community! So I have this razer blade laptop I bought and I have to say Great job by Razer and those who made this laptop architect. For the record I really hope you make this line up of laptops even better in future. But not everything can be perfect as much as many company wanted it to be. Example for the minority of people who bought the laptop the most issue of them all is Battery. in this case there is not much in area of developing better battery. The high top of battery is still Lithium in form of silicon. If there is a better way to get in longer life in battery these computer, Game changer! So my question. Is there a possibility to have your Razer blade battery recover it's Capacity or only way is to make the replacement for a new fresh one?
Hi guys I'm trying to work something out. I ha e anew 17 Razer I bought a few months ago and have a main gaming monitor. I want to add to basic smaller montiors to my rig. Now can I get a core X and put a basic gpu in it to power these montiors and still use the gpu on the laptop for the main one? I do intend to get a top on the range gpu for the core eventually but funds don't allow that at the moment. Need some help and advise Cheers
