JETtechWinterWizard726Yes, I found some information about the launching date which is April 24 starting at $1,999. If I'm wrong someone else will correct me.
Do we have any indication as to when the OLED model will be available?

VahdyxSorry to say, it wasnt :slightly_sad: The new blades thermal pads are MUCH improved, a lot of the internals are. good QOL for people who want to swap SSDs/Ram. The Temps are very good, like very good, which is an issue. With the new Blade im hitting 75c on the hottest core on CB20 loops. Which is irritating, as the 45w limit is still in effect, which is dumb, it can take more heat now, that limit needs increased. I did add 2 thermal pads, thinking it might help a bit. Maybe it does, maybe not, I was already in there switching the drives so figured why not lol. EDIT: its worse than I thought, just ran 6 more back to back. The high of 75c, thats before the throttle. When its throttled to 45ws, the temps never go over 65c. NEVER. This is absurd, every other 9750h laptop is going to destroy the blade, apparently this CPU ran much cooler, the throttle made sense on the 8750h as it would hit 85c easy, even with the throttle. This cpu is running 20c cooler, this throttle is needs vastly increased. BTW those temps are with no repaste, and a -80 UC, without the UC, it runs the same temps, just at 2.9 instead of 3.1
Ordered mine from HIDEvolution with new thermal pads and paste. Hopefully it was worth the extra money.

CyberLoccThat’s power limit throttling that’s known from last year model to make the system run cooler. Cinebench is light cpu stress test, cpu demanding titles like AC Oddysey, Shadow of the tomb Raider, Far cry 5 is the real enemy. Try running it in an or two hours you’ll be thankful to that power limit imo. There’s not much review about 9750H in thin light form factor. But Gigabyte 15 9750H 2070maxq review just out yesterday, and it runs average 3,5ghz multicore, and on gaming it’s throttling. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Gigabyte-Aero-15-Classic-XA-i7-9750H-RTX-2070-Max-Q-Laptop-Review.420747.0.html You can unlock it per bios with tweaks (by your own risk), i tried that but I prefer cooler temperature on this form factor.

JoikansaiWith my 2070 model, looping benches of SoTR, neither the GPU or CPU go over 75c after an hour. So no, no I am not happy with that power limiting. Also that 75c max, thats stock, no repaste no UC, Stock. So no, I am extremely not happy. Especially when the cheaper and same thickness Asus Zephyrus is pulling 3k in CB20 for 500 dollars less. Thats not acceptable, thats 25% faster for less money. We will see how the next couple weeks fare with updates from Razer on this. However I may have to just return my blade. Not going to accept spending 25% more, and getting 25% less performance, for utterly no reason. The reviews are starting, and this thing is going to be eaten alive. Its not like before, when they all Thermal throttled on the 8750 so the difference wasn't that large. The difference is huge now, and there is no reason for it. Edit: Just got an Ran CB15 as alot see to use that. 65c temps across 3 runs looped, and a score of 1060. Thats not acceptable. Thats in Gaming Mode, Creator Mode is gone with this new Blade. Edit 2: In CB15, it takes longer to kick in PLs, and before it does, while running 4.0 all cores, the CPU Temp is 80c, (Maxes of 85C on HWmonitor) thats a perfect acceptable temp, and it hits that with 65ws, which is the same wattage the 502GX allows its CPU. The 9750 is cooler, Razers Cooling is better, We need to be allowed 65ws so we can fully utilize the CPU.

CyberLoccReplied on your thread I think from 2018 model when they released it cb15 was not even 1100, some reviewers was even under 1000. But several months ago without any tweaking I could hit over 1200 multiple runs, now it is apparently back to 1150, anyway cinebench isn’t so important to me but if it’s for you, yes it could be the Blade downside.

spectremartyToday Razer finally released an updated 1.04 BIOS updater which works correctly. Be advised, however, that it made my system much noisier. Fans now ramp up randomly even while sitting idle :frown_:
Firstly a strong disclaimer: If you are not a hardware guru, don't attempt this. Just don't. Wait for Razer. Secondly, ensure all antivirus/antimalware software is totally uninstalled before proceeding. It's not worth the risk of it interfering and you toasting your precious laptops. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH IF YOU ARE UNSURE DO NOT PROCEED. Warning out of the way, I stupidly made the mistake of installing the Management Engine firmware, then the EC firmware then the BIOS naturally wouldn't update. Damn. I've been working with BIOS/EFI for a long, long time so I'm very familiar with AMIBIOS which Razer Blade 15 2019 model uses. Easy fix here. The utility Razer bundle isn't able to prod the firmware to update it, but, rather handily they include the tool you need and it works. Yay Razer! What to do? Ensure you've got a program like 7zip installed. Download the latest bios update applicable for your razer laptop. Right click on it, extract to a folder. Open up a cmd window as an administrator. Navigate to that folder. run the command afuwinx64.exe Charlotte2_0104.bin /B /P /N /K To elaborate what is doing what: /B = boot block /P = main bios /N = NVRAM /K = all non-critical blocks Let it run and do its thing. It doesn't take long. Review what's occured in the console session and check everything was successful. If all looks good, give it a reboot. DO NOT FREAK OUT. It will upon the first reboot sit idle/dormant for a little while and that is normal. You have not bricked it. Give it plenty of time and once it returns to life, before it goes to boot the OS, press delete, go into the bios, reset to factory defaults and adjust any settings to how you like. save and quit. I suggest turning on memory XMP as it provides a nice little performance bump. Congrats, 1.04 bios is yours. If Razer thinks this information is too dangerous for average users - please remove. I will understand. The skilled users will find this super helpful and it'll get them to 1.04 happily. Edit: PS. I forgot to say - it silenced the laptop neatly after the 1.04 update. Woot! :)

easytruckBeauBlue589Fans rump up on idle may be caused by background tasks like automatic update, download etc, did you check it on task manager which apps/ programs take a lot cpu usage.

JoikansaiNo because the only thing that changed was the BIOS. Wasn't doing this before therefore it stands to reason BIOS 1.04 is causing it

Hey Guys!
I got the brand new model with i7. 9. gen CPU. Great device so far!
The only thing I dont get is that the fans spins up when I'm starting the Razer synapse Software. Even if I set the fan speed manually to "0" in the Synapse Software, it is still cranking up the fans. I have throtteled the cpu to 1ghz with the windows energy settings (for office work). So temperature should really not be an issue - its getting cold on the keyboard :big_grin_:
When I'm closing the Synapse Software and all the Services, the fans getting quiet.
Someone have this issue too?

Hey guys, has anyone run into the BSoD - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)? I did some reading and it seems to be a common issue with Nvidia drivers on Windows 10.
I've encountered this twice over the last two days. I'm running the latest geforce drivers (430.64).
what's odd is that both times this has happened, all I've been doing is browsing Chrome/watching videos with VLC and using Microsoft Word / OneNote. I don't think any of these would have caused the dedicated graphics to kick in. Everything should have been running on the integrated graphics.

Is the latest version of Razer Blade with i7 9750h compared to the former one with i7 8750 worth paying some extra money? Are there any other benefits besides a very slighlty different CPU?

KallenoJust born baby still need to learn a lot things updates will optimize it. I remember my Blade 15 2018 doing this as well a year ago, probably windows and Synapse just meet and start talking each other lol.

yesmetooDisplay, 240Hz, Oled, and finally Mercury availability in other regions outside US, like UK and Germany. Unfortunately only 2070maxq 240Hz one. Not quite sure about functional (secondary) keys backlight outside US but on website it’s apparently backlight unlike before on early 2019 rtx model when I’m not wrong.

bartyfilmWhat stinks is I waited months for the 2070+4K model to be available and as soon as It was, a 2080+4K OLED was announced. So now I’m waiting for that one. Been waiting to buy a new machine since the end of January. Wonder what they’ll announce as soon as the OLED actually starts shipping lol.
