Clearance delay at customs .. is this normal? | Razer Insider

i recently ordered from razer and the shipment has been held at customs for about 4 days now. Has anyone else experienced this and if so , how was the issue resolved?


update: package cleared customs and was delivered 2 days past scheduled delivery date. large shipments (mine was in a shipment of 90 other orders) are held at customs for longer due to the clearance process.
“My” white blade 15 was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It’s been in customs for over 2 days. I’m really losing my patience... ;/

I purchased a Razer Blade 15 from the online Razer store and tracking shows it has been held in a "clearance delay" since Saturday February 2. I did call Fedex and was told that there was no estimate on how long it would be held in Customs.

And you still haven’t received it ? Wow that’s a long time I hope this doesn’t happen to my order too
I would also say that this is normal. I have had some of my razor laptops shipped form HZ and others local. When you order a laptop right after it is announce or it is backlogged, it makes sense for Razer to ship directly from HZ vs shipping to the US and then to you. Just to be fair, I have had the same thing happen with Apple laptops also.
This is kind of a late reply, but this happened to my Quartz laptop because of an "incomplete invoice." I ended up contacting Razer first which didn't help, then messaged FedEx through Twitter. I gave them my info and a FedEx dude gave me a phone call explaining that it's just a waiting game when it comes to customs. But the day after I got the call, the laptop somehow magically got transported to my location, and it delivered the same day. So if you're concerned, I'd contact FedEx asap to get the ball moving. But I'm sure your package is ok.
A bit late to the conversation, but yes - a clearance delay in customs is absolutely normal. Usually they don't miss their shipment window, though.

I recently ordered and received the Razer Blade Stealth in the pink quartz and it stayed in customs for nearly a week before it was delivered. I was so irritated, I wanted it "Right Now!" LOL
However, they did still make their delivery window for the express shipping, but it was still kind of irritating.

Makes sense - Wednesday evening Amazon ended up getting more 2080 models in stock so I went ahead and ordered from them. Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

That’s fast:smile_: just got RP2 from Razer store shipped within 3 days, from package it is apparently from HK.

Probably since here in EU Amazon shipping is from inside the country vs Razer store from HK, though i only see clearance issue in US in first batch, here i never got it stopped there from HK, from Blade to Razer Phone purchase.

Update: I just checked tracking and it indicates my shipment has been released and is moving in the system again!
Glad I found you guys - thought I was the odd man out with a laptop stuck in TN hah. Mine is still stuck as of this AM, ordered on Sunday the 24th. This is my first Razer order, so I'm hoping this isn't normal lol.
