So I’m looking for a new mechanical keyboard and found a Razer Ornata V2 (I know it’s not mechanical) but a friend told me that their switches suck compared to Cherry. What do you guys think? I’m between a Razer Ornata V2 and an XPG Summoner Cherry Blue.

With the rise of the TKL and 60/65% boards that big brands are coming out with I feel like a 10 key would be a no brainer add on for most folks. I use a 10 key daily, but would love to have the deck space for gaming when not needed. A full sized optical board is what I am using now, but with that the USB was detachable like the Huntsman TKL or Mini... A Hunstman TKL with a Hyperspeed 10 key would be next level! There when you need it and gone when you don't! This would also be a great opportunity to test power limits for battery powered opticals! A Huntsman 10 key! I know there are 10 keys available aftermarket, but with Hyperspeed I would not need to take up another USB port and with Synapse and Chroma all things would be synced and the same colors... Would be a win all around! I have not seen a big name release a stand alone 10 key yet!

So every time there is a Razer event I get my hopes up wanting to see a new keypad being announced, but nothing so far. Tartarus V2 and Tartarus Pro are not good options for some of us who like the extra key instead of a scroll wheel, and I am basically stuck with my obsolete Orbweaver Chroma and other Synapse 2 devices (I like my chroma lights to be in sync!). A new keypad would make me upgrade my mouse and keyboard as well for sure. Razer should develop a new generation keypad that takes the lessons learned from what other keypads have failed at. Some ideas: Adjustable ergonomics with quality grips. Maybe optical clicky keys, but single action. Or reg mechanical. Best to have variations and give options upon purchasing like some keyboards. On board memory for keybinds without synapse active. with that ^, a button that can change keymap/profile. Joystick that can be changed from regular arrow keys to analog in Synapse settings. Maybe the community has other good ideas? :) I hope pro

When I hit the function key, secondary keys turn a different color. I want arrow keys IJKL to change a different color so I can identify them easier. Is that possible?

Hello Have a problem with the Razer Pro Type Ultra. The f4 key is set as the mail app. But when I press the key, an error message appears. See screenshot. Have also written here with the support already. I suspect it is due to Win 11, I have already uninstalled Synapse. Uninstalled the keyboard driver and the human interface driver, restarted. Win 11 already fixed. Software is up to date. On Win 10 (my son's PC) the key works. Do any of you have any other ideas?

Hi! I have a razer black widow elite but for some reason, sometimes when I tap once it'll register two key presses. I've been having this problem in mostly rhythm games and this is a big issue for me. If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me. Thanks!

So this is kinda hard to explain but essentially when I press a key and I keep holding the key down but just make less pressure but without letting go fully, the key will stop pressing. I first thought this was an issue with my keyboard so I sent it back and got a new one, guess what , the same is happening so I think this may be normal behavior of this keyboard? In my experience every time you fully let go of a key it will stop pressing, not when you just apply less pressure. Is this intended? I love this keyboard but this thing is a huge turn-off for me, since I play cs go, I need to keep holding a lot of time W, and If I let a bit go, my guy, will stop walking. Please help!!

Hi, I have a razer huntsman elite and a hyperspeed v3 mini wireless. Both Keyboards have a problem with the rgb leds. The keyboards randomly turn off the rgb and turn it on again. It takes one second to turn on again. I reinstalled the razer software and deleted all the files from the razer software. I tryed it with the 2.4ghz connection and with the usb cable. i turned off all the energysave settings. Sadly nothing helped and i am going crazy. I even made a new account and profile. Does someone has a Idea what i can still try. The problem is totaly random, sometime it happenes twice in one minute, sometimes once in 5 hours.

No sound from windows when I plug into USB. No lights, keyboard does not work. Have I bought an expensive dud? I am typing this from a razer chroma with all the razer software installed.

It's not even a hard problem but I figure if I post this here then in 6 months when I forget what the heck I did to hotswap maybe I'll have this post to look back at. Looking at a BW V3 Pro and was curious to see just how quiet these "New" Yellow switches are as the board's info page says they now include dampeners to make them silent. I am looking at a board with Cherry silent reds, if I am allowed to use that name here... Just curious how these compare. Does anyone have a a BW V3 Pro or any other board really that uses these new yellow switches? I would love to hear a sound clip!

Hi, Is there any known issue with the BW Elite when plugged to Docking station (Dell)?. It Works fine when I plug it to PC. But with the docking station, some keys start typing repeatedly. And not the same keys, also when it occurs I notice a big latency. For now when this happens, I unlplug and plug it again and it fixes the problem for some time. But this occurs up to the 3 or 4 times a day. And I need to use a docking station because my 2 pc's (work) has only one usb port and 2 thunderbolt 4. I love this keyboard, but if I can't fix this for sure I will change for wireless or something else. Thank you.

Hoping this is in the correct section. I have a Cynosa Chroma RZ03 0226. In some games I like to enter console mode by pressing the F1 button. I know it works as the 'help' button in other programs like Word and web browser. For some reason, in games it will not. I press FN F1 and yes, it mutes my volume. But to just press it, it does nothing. Is there something I should otherwise be doing?

Hey Fam, Looking to make the jump from the yellow team to the green team. Part of what I am looking for is a silent full sized board that has a detachable USB sable that can easily be plugged into a TKL and/or a 60% board to make the switch from work to gaming. I am loving the reviews that I have seen for the new V2 analog linear switches in the boards with the dampening foam. With that I would probably buy the suite of Huntsman boards except for the fact that the full sized board does not have a removable cable. The technology is there for the TKL version. Might I suggest adding a detachable cable for folks like me that need a full sized board for daily use, but love the smaller footprint when scrolling or gaming. Could even sneak in a 2.4 of Bluetooth option as well to have an optical version of the Black Widow V3. Just my thought. I have pretty much everything else picked out and lined up. The board is my main holdup...Just my 2 cents...

I would love for this to be a filter when comparing all of the keyboards on the site. I am looking at getting a full size board for work but would like the option to switch over to a 60% when I am done working and just want to do some casual gaming or maybe just enjoying the endless scroll... Does anyone know which full sized boards might have a detachable USB cable?

I had a Win10 system and used Synapse to bind the M1-M5 keys to CTR1-5. I used these keys to activate onscreen functions in LOTRO.(Lord of the Rings Online). I now have a new system with Win11 and I have been unable to duplicate the same process with Synapse 3. I can create the Macro, assign it to one of the M keys, but the game either does not recognize the keypress or has multiple in-game problems. (such as mouse conflicts, repeated random keypresses etc) I am fairly certain I had an older version of Synapse on my Win10 system, but I can only find Synapse 3 installers now. Has anyone been able to get the macros assigned and working properly with Lotro or other games in Win11?
