Anyone else having call quality issues? Sound on other device being called from R2 is very muffled. Tried factory reset but didnt fix anything. Its worse when in speaker mode as well.

This thread is for the Razer Phone 1 Pie Update, not the Razer Phone 2, I would advise to open a new thread for that issue. Sorry.

File size is 56mb if you had pie already or 1.2GB if you're on Oreo. Changlog is the exact same but unofficially this build fixes the Game Booster issue.

Still waiting for confirmation for carrier rollout.

Really glad to see this update going out for you all 🙂 you've all been extremely patient and I thank you for hanging in there! Remember this update is because all of you have been amazing!


Any issues please let me know and I'll assist as much as possible.

Any idea when the factory images are being uploaded cause with major android updates I prefer to do a clean install?

Hey everyone

There is a bug with the do not disturb function on this update. Having it switched on results in the camera not working.

I've passed this on but for now if you need the camera please remember to have the do not disturb switched off before you launch the camera.

Last time the update rolled out with Three at the same time but I'd only be speculating about its status this time.

What is the difference between the ckh and the rzr factory images there doesnt seem to be any documentation on it. I know one is by three uk and the other is the original but what else?


Honestly I think the Three logo on boot is the main difference in the build. Three just want to certify their own builds so a bad update doesn't get pushed out to their customers.

Possibly some network code for the Three Network too but that I'm not sure about.

Make sure the bug happens before you generate a full report and not while it’s generating.

Literally this poopy update destroyed my phone. EVER SINCE THE UPDATE, MY APPS CRASH RANDOMLY, BROWSER CRASHES CONSTANTLY. Darn interface is complete junk and hard as heck to use. Never had any these problems except for right after installing this piece of poop update. How the heck do I roll back this update? Its destroying my phone literally.... This is so patehtic.

Agree with this post. My phone doesn't function after this terrible update. Review the update before screwing with everyone's phones. Ticking me off now that all my equipment doesn't pair to the phone and nothing works. I've even had to factory reset the phone cause it went to crap.

Need to rollback this update

@tclow43 watch your language on the forum please.

The camera is crashing due to a bug with do not disturb so if you have that on please switch it off.

Games are working for other members so please either try a redownload of the games or perform a factory reset and try again. If no luck then please contact support for further assistance.

Please remember everyone that if you have issues to capture a bug report and I can send it on or send it to @Razer.Caziel

These help a serious amount on pinning down issues especially those issues that aren't plaguing every device.

Really sorry so many people are having issues, I plan on changing my daily driver back to the RP1 to help narrow down what's going on.

Yes I do. I would almost rather do it through TWRP though, but haven't installed that yet, Unlike I did with my OP2.


ADB means no warranty voiding though (if that matters to you)

Gimmie a sec i'll see if I can dig up an OTA link and we'll see if that works for you.

Found a temporary fix. Disable game booster then restart phone.


Hopefully I can find something better but I'm glad this works nice find.

Head into cortex and game booster and click the reset settings button on the top right hand corner. This will reset all clock speeds and settings in game booster and the games should work then 🙂

I got 1 phone to 9.0 Pie and got this problem. Another 1 phone I have to pause the update to avoid this problem.

Pokemon Go and Azur Lane also affected with this bug.

Also, disable game booster will prevent this problem, already test and game load normally.

My camera keeps crashing, can't even open it!


Can't replicate that issue here, my camera is opening fine. Are you using Gcam or the razer cam?

Using the stock camera app


Okay clear the camera app data if you haven't already just to make sure it's not got some corrupted data. If no luck uninstal it and update it via the play store again.
